They're saying that the current model of paying people from the community that design cosmetics already and reusing old assets from previous events is too much work for them now, they're shifting towards their new game, Neon Prime, Dota is in a managed decline stage like TF2 they won't stick with the regular game play updates for very long, they never have
I'm surprised Neon Prime hasn't been announced yet. It was literally leaked before all the CS2 Source 2 datamining even happened.
Anyway, DOTA 2 didn't show any signs of growing and seems way more complicated to maintain than Counter-Strike so I guess it makes sense to leave it behind with the old pals like TF2 or DoD:S.

5s used to have much bigger impact back in the 6.xx days because you had a timer where you had to achieve everything you wanted before you became the ward b***h with a stun. You could unironically win the game in the first 5 minutes as a venomancer that ganks mid twice with poison gale. Nowadays even if you kill mid three times in the early game it doesnt matter.

Last year's battle pass was only released 6 weeks before TI whereas the previous battle passes were released months in advance, and the 2021 battle pass was so large because TI was cancelled due to COVID so the battle pass was around for an entire year, not to mention last year's battle pass was also split in two parts with part II being after TI so people who bought during part II didn't contribute towards TI prize winnings

7.33 still barely changed the game, as they refuse to alter the actual game impacting shit like kill gold exp formula, jungle creep bounties, etc.

Why are any of these problems? There is so much mass aoe spellcleave powercreep that there are early answers to memepush. Jungling is impossible because lvl 1 spells have become so strong no hero can solo lane anymore.
