Overwatch just sucked up all the air in the room with regards to anything vaguely similar. Which made it even more frustrating to watch it - and Blizzard as a whole - steadily shit itself to death.
I don't even know why it failed while Hi-rez can pump out even shittier F2P games taht are still running to this day. Miss this to a degree, this, Loadout, Gotham City Imposters and the DC ASShomosexual was actually fun
windows 10 exclusive when 99% of gamers were using win7. microshart tried so hard to make win10 happen, and eventually they gave up. win10 only got market share when they essentially made it illegal to get win7 from retailers.
W10 like someone else said, I also remember they had to partner with another publisher after a while, and they put in their own weird limitations and stuff that made it really hard for the game to get any notice or traction.
Perfect World. A Chinese company that insisted that the game only launch from their dedicated Arc launcher, because it's absolutely going to take the world by storm.
eh, in case it's some subtle test to see if there's enough interest to bring it back i'll hop on. never even played the game much but it was pretty alright and neat
1) Go to the following link: https://www.arcgames.com/en/gigantic
2) Either log in with your old acount details or register with a new email. The site doesn't seem to differentiate and you don't need an invite. They'll likely send a two-step authentication code to the same email for when you first log in.
3) Download the Arc launcher and install Gigantic. The game should install without issue, but you're not going to be able hit Play it until this "Throwback Event" actually goes live.
That happened to me yesterday. Just wait a few hours and try again.
I remember loving it and being sad when it shutdown but I can't remember a thing about the characters for some reason
I think I played the robot or the woman with the jetpacks. I remember a taller robot being datamined/leaked before the game died?
There weren't any datamines or leaks. The devs literally streamed for 2 hours as a farewell to show off all the characters they didn't get to finish. They're still archived on the old wiki.

>Why not bring it back permanently?
The feeling going around is that this is the precursor to a proper relaunch, since Gearbox are going out of their way to do far more work than anyone would expect for a one-off. It's possible this is being used to either gauge interest or stress test servers.
The announcement email mentions they've been working on new "never before seen" modes and features for this thing.
>Rush Mode: A more accessible, fast-paced and action-packed mode for all players bringing a simplified Gigantic experience that lets you jump in and get into the action of Gigantic with ease
>Build Loadout System: Build and customize your own unique loadouts and choose which upgrade path you want to take for each hero in Gigantic
>New Tutorials: Get a refresher on the ins and outs of Gigantic, including Rush Mode, in revamped tutorials so you’re prepared to enter the battlefield.
>Fortune Card System: Complete exciting challenges to earn Fortune Cards filled with character lore and get in-game currency in the process to use to unlock additional customization options >Progression System: Experience a revamped progression system that lets you level up to unlock even more customization options from weapons to emotes and much more >Customization Features: Check out never-before-seen customization content, like unique weapon skins and profile options such as player icons.
There's also screenshots floating around from a private closed beta the other week, which showed we might have fully working versions of some of the near-completed heroes back when the game shuttered in 2018. If that's true then there's also presumably been balance patches.
Here's the overall assessment of the cast from the twilight days of the game. My guy Charnok was the victim of power creep that relegated him to the bottom tier.
T-MAT only existed for seven months but was in the top 3 for overall damage inflicted by the time the game died. It's honestly impressive.
I see. She was just too specialized for her own good. I wonder what they could do to beef up the underperformers.
>I wonder what they could do to beef up the underperformers.
No idea, but I'm open to whatever if it'll make some of the lower tiers more viable overall.
>or is it doomed to die again?
Why does everyone understand from this that they'll revive the game, put in development? There's nothing to "die again". It's just a nostalgia trip that some people probably fought hard to make happen. Chances it'll drum up enough interest to go into full development again are 0.
It's mostly because of the level of effort their putting in doesn't really align with just flicking the servers back on for a weekend. This announcement has also come about very soon after Gearbox bought up the previous publisher, Perfect World, so people are assuming they want to make use of the game somehow. Gigantic's original developers were disbanded and dissolved when Perfect World shuttered the game, so there's been no one internally to "fight hard to make this happen". The game's just been in a drawer for years.
It sure as hell isn't a guarantee, but it's also not zero.
>It's just a nostalgia trip that some people probably fought hard to make happen
I doubt they'd bother to do all the shit in

Because Gearbox bringing back a dead game, complete with what looks like extensive dev time to add characters, a new game modes, and assorted other features, for a one-off “nostalgia trip” makes no sense? This is a company that exists to make money, they aren’t going to waste resources on something like this.
Not saying they’re definitely going to relaunch the game and go all out bringing it back, but there’s clearly something more going on here.
I think you're the one who might be confused. Perfect World was purchased outright by Gearbox/Embracer in late 2021, meaning they now own the Gigantic IP.
>Chances it'll drum up enough interest to go into full development again are 0.
Unnecessary pessimism right there. If they think it can catch on and generate a profit, they'll run with it. Smart publishers aren't just going to let properties rot.
Well I can't stop you from coping. I loved the game too, I lost a lot of hours waiting for them to fix the servers in those closed alphas they were doing with a handful of people, just to play a buggy match and then have it go down again. I just don't see this formula succeeding in any way in today's market.

See you on the airship.
It seems you don't actually need an invite. I played the game back in the day, didn't get an email invite but was able to just log in and reinstall the game without issue.
i liked this because it worked on my potato
there was a very very low graphics setting where you could disable textures and everything was grey and purple
honestly all I remember from it is when some streamers were shilling it back in the day
I played it for a bit and had fun with it but I was more into league at the time
Now that all other mobas and arena shooters committed sodoku I feel like it has a good chance to be successful
I'm glad I'm going get to play this one more time, but I doubt anything will come out of it in the long run. Hopefully enough people show up to keep it alive but >3rd party launcher with frick all games on it. >Game that died by being limited to GFWL so initial reach was limited. >OW killed hero shooter hype. >Are people really gonna spend money on this in 2023?
Still the fact their even doing it is at least a DECENT sign of something.
Not nearly as hard as everyone makes it out to be. If you know the concept of hero shooters and team fighting you'll be good. Just push from point to point with your team, eventually you'll get to the giant at the end and then you attack him.
I got a beta key back when before the game even released and never redeemed it because it was windows 10 and I didn't have windows 10
what did I miss on
[...]
Microsoft picked up the game and agreed to publish it on the condition that Motiga rework it to function on the then-new Windows10 Storefront, so it when it first released it was tethered to either Windows10 or the Xbox One.
I somehow got the invitation email regardless never redeeming the code
I guess I'll finally play the game now
The code I got was especifically to be redeemed in the microsoft store

There was a brief time the game was announced as Windows 10 exclusive and it definitely drove a lot of people away. I stopped following it around that time and by the time I checked back in they’d announced it was cancelled.
>Gearbox won't limit this to ARC, would they? I thought that was just some perfect world shit from way back.
It is, so I assume if Gearbox did a proper relaunch they'd just use Steam from the off. Arc only existed because Perfect World had delusions of competing with Steam in the first place, so now that they're dead it shouldn't matter.
this is just a play test anon, if successfull gearbox for sure will open the steam version and the xbox version ASAP, it will depend how good this playtest goes.
This could hopefully be a sorta closed beta test for servers if they attempt to relaunch the game, and I dont see why not.
Someone at gearbox probably went through old ips and saw that there is still a complete game waiting to be reused,
or at least milked for a while. It didnt
stand a chance with mobas and ow back in the original launch, but now... eh maybe.
It probably could've eked out a moderately successful existence if it wasn't burdened with a fricking parade of bad decisions that kept cutting it off from being visible and accessible. The fans didn't even get to run community servers when the game was shut off because PW allegedly nixed the build that the devs were planning to release. A goddamn maelstrom of bad luck.
If Gigantic had just launched as originally intended it would’ve had success. Maybe it wouldn’t have been a breakout hit, but it had a sizable following when it was initially revealed.
It just kept getting delayed and, combined with publisher meddling, that drove away a lot of people before the game actually launched.

kinda reminds me of wildstar
great and fun game, absolutely wrecked by bad or questionable decisions
Wildstar was a rollercoaster that ended in a ditch. I remember Carbine confidently talking about how any MMO that goes f2p is tacitly admitting failure, while their big new colorful WoW killer was obviously going to stay the course...
In my mind OW and Gigantic are still weirdly linked in some small way, since they were announced and gaining steam at around the same time. It's odd to think that, for a brief window, they were sort of peers.
I'm gonna play so many games this weekend. I hope it comes back. Even if they don't ditch the arc launcher at least put it on steam but let the player pool mix
I'm sure it can since it was available on xbox i believe. also deleted cuz it had my username lol. not that i care but apparently you aren't supposed to show anything with the NDA thing
>please create a third party account >Won't let me create a account for this stupid launcher
thanks i guess.
I liked playing the frog and funny fruit man
I think I already had EAC installed from a previous game that used it ie. Apex Legends
How complete is Roland?
I don't know what state was he in previously, I actually have never played the game before, but he seems to be complete with upgrades and everything else
I recorded this for you

The city environment looks nice, I don't remember it being in the game; the only maps I remember were the desert canyon, temple, and annoying frosty shipwreck.

Yup, they've given him a complete refurbish. Glad to see it, and that new map looks great too.

The game is 100% getting an actual revival, unless the revival was cancelled and they're just doing a throwback event with the remains for some reason
I hope they've walked back their decision that Tripp is supposed to be a pubstomp character that makes the game completely unapproachable for new players
This was the dumbest shit. They basically outright said she's intentionally overpowered and unfun to fight for anyone who isn't an organized comp player then got shocked when the game died because 99.9999% of players aren't interested in comp at all and don't want to have to perfectly dodge all of almost all of Tripp's skills just for her to dash away anyways and repeat 5 seconds later or play characters with CC to fight her except that doesn't even work because she's invisible and even if you were working with people back when I played it the game didn't even have voice chat to coordinate.
I played her every fricking time because of how absurdly unfair she was. Her or Sven who had a stupidly busted build.
Why do developers create characters like this? It reminds me of Ball from Overwatch; why make a tank hypermobile? Hypermobility is such a stupid concept anyway; just give everyone regular high mobility with downtime so they can be punished.
Ball was a kneejerk reaction to the meta at that time in OW being near immobile tanks completelty killing the pacing of the game, not understanding shields and healing were the issue.
Tripp is just your typical hard-carry you see for 9/10 new chars added to any moba, because most people want to be the cool guy who kills half the enemy team, has the highest damage stat and they delude to themselves take the most skill despite generally killing basically everyone nearly instantly while also outranging or outmanouvering them.
They went too far with Tripp which is a large part of why the game died the only confusing thing being that they entirely intended for only 1 guy between each team to be having any fun at all.
Awesomenauts did the same thing when they added a second leveling system on top of the one already in the game and it made the carries 1-2 shot everyone on spawn and take nearly no damage after getting like 1 kill, almost instantly killing the game.
Basically every Dead By Daylight clone dies for the same reason. Overly powerful and safe burst or DPS classes no one wants to fight so no one plays the game.
Do you like Gigantic anon?
It was a 6/10 game that I liked a bit more because I always won.
This might sound weird, but I think Overwatch could benefit from being slower. Outside of a few hyper mobile heroes, of course. It seems like the game was at its best back before they tried to break it down and turn it into a generic team death match thing.
Overwatch, being the mostly unique property that it was, can't exactly follow the same rules that other games lay down. Why emphasis range, speed, and mobility in a game with a hero like Reinhardt, Brig or Reaper?
Overwatch literally died because it was too slow after they added Brigitte, its not weird to say, its just objectively wrong. It got slower and people stopped playing and watching it. Commentators paid to hype the game in comp matches would often stop to say how much the game sucks to play with how slow it is.
And you have emphasis on speed because those characters are what people play.
It could afford to follow rules and did and that was specifically when it was the most profitiable. Being 'unique' (which OW never was to begin with, its not the first 6 v 6 shooter or shotoer with powers on CD) doesn't mean 'make moronic decisions on purpose'

>Overwatch literally died because it was too slow after they added Brigitte, its not weird to say, its just objectively wrong.
You made a critical error in assuming I want to so slow that no one wants to play it. Too slow is a problem, but too fast is also a problem. There needs to be an equilibrium where people aren't just waving their hands and acting like fricking morons.
Yes, Overwatch struggled because it was TOO slow, it needed to be faster, but not so fast that its fricking stupid.

No I didn't. You said OW could do with being slower. As in slower than it was, which is too slow. I'm not going to assume you mean "OW should be slower, but actually by that I mean faster than it is, but slower than it could be", because that's fricking moronic.
You just don't know shit about OW and are backpedaling.

>No I didn't. You said OW could do with being slower. As in slower than it was, which is too slow. >You said OW could do with being slower, so that means you want it to be as slow as in OW1 where everyone hated it.
What the frick am I supposed to say to that nonsense? I said it can be slower; that just means what it said. You got upset and started projecting a bunch of bullshit on me, can't you read that? No one's backpedaling, homosexual, I said what i said and you started arguing with phantoms.

What!? I said that it could benefit, not that it can benefit? And so I'm wrong?
Please, just accept the fact that you jumped the gun and move on. Yes, it could/can benefit from being slower in my yes. It doesn't have to be OW1 levels of slow, but I don't understand the fascination with hyper mobility in games.

I think I see what you're trying to say. Could meaing "It could possibly benefit", and can meaning "it can definitely benefit".
My problem with that is, for most people, could and can is used interchangeably. You confused me by being so analytical with the words when actual English majors wouldn't even do that.
So, let me be clear: I think its possible that Overwatch 2 could benefit from being slower. Not as slow as Overwatch 1 levels of slow, but certainly slower than this autistic slapfight where you get two tapped and die unless a sexy black man with a drone makes you immortal. That's my take, and I'm not even saying I'm 100% correct.

It could not possibly benefit from being slower. It died because it was slow. They made less profit because it was slow. Less people played and watched because it was slow. There is no 'could'. Using a less extreme word doesn't inherently make it more correct. >Overwatch 2

you are 100% moronic
it's the same fricking word and meaning just different tense
in this context they mean the exact same thing
it could benefit
it can benefit
same thing, most native speakers would use could in this context even if they're talking about the future >hey bill hows that coffee >well it could use some more sugar
why are they making seem like this was some kind of extremely popular game that people missed?
"beloved strategic hero shooter"? lol people hardly talked about this game. theres a reason why it died
it just didn't hit critical mass, sometimes it takes time for that to happen. look at DRG, it was a niche unknown game gor a while until it exploded, now imagine if ghost ship turned the lights off before that happenend. that's the story of gigantic
As a newbie what’s the lore for the robots? It’s a bit jarring seeing designs like that when it seems like most of the roster is more cartoony and fantasy inspired.
Gigantic's lore was spread out in bits and pieces across bios and flavour text for cosmetics. What little we do know about the world is that there are many Great Houses each with a giant Guardian monster/diety/whatever.
The two robots in the roster, HK-206 and T-MAT, both come from House Tessarus, which is the only one interested in advanced technology as opposed to magic. There's references to a war in the recent past involving robot legions, but they've apparently all been destroyed. Beckett, a human hero, stole her custom jetpack from Tessarus too. I don't think the robots look especially out of place, given that they still abide by the smooth, round shapes of most of the hero designs.
I vaguely remember from a dev stream that HK-206 was an experimental robot House Tessures was testing that blasted his way out of the obstacle course and hasn't been seen since.
One of the factions made robots. They're both from that. One ran away because he's a c**t, one ran away because she's a c**t.
They exist to say "all these supposedly cool characters are literally only about as strong as mass produced not even finished machines"
HK-206 is a mute, mass-produced murder robot that was salvaged and reactivated. He's outdated, but incredibly well-armed.
T-Mat is like an elite flying unit from the same army, but was shot down, left for dead and has seemingly gained sentience. She's got big wandering ronin vibes.
They absolutely are regardless of what Gearbox says. Why would they add a new mode for a one off event? I'm in a group that sometimes reactivates the SMNC servers, and that's something that a company might do as a one off frick around thing.
But this? Actual time and money spent making a new mode for JUST a frick around thing? No, that's not realistic. They're 100% testing the waters to see if Gigantic can come back, and I'm excited for it.
Its just going to die again. The roster was mostly forgettable and extremely imbalanced. There were like 3 characters that consistently did well and everyone else was a weird pointless gimmick or a worse version of those character.
Those characters being the ones who killed best, because that's all that matter. Any and all other mechanics were fluff. You pick the OP characters, you fight people and win because the balance is shit, then you repeat and there's very little most characters can actually do because the extremely imbalanced access to mobility meant some characters could casually pick and choose their own fights while others had absolutely no way to escape said characters.
That one game which had REAL GRAPHICS I forget the name of was a better dead psudo moba than this and that game fricking sucked.
They didn't fix the other issue that killed the game to begin with too. "How to market our attempt at a revival? A single post and literally 2 days to play, starting tomorrow, ending on a fricking friday rather than starting on the weekend"
Not this time. You need to go through the Arc client. See:
1) Go to the following link: https://www.arcgames.com/en/gigantic
2) Either log in with your old acount details or register with a new email. The site doesn't seem to differentiate and you don't need an invite. They'll likely send a two-step authentication code to the same email for when you first log in.
3) Download the Arc launcher and install Gigantic. The game should install without issue, but you're not going to be able hit Play it until this "Throwback Event" actually goes live.
I had the same problem. Go to add or remove programs > uninstall Gigantic AND Gigantic Launcher > Install Arc from the Arc website > download Gigantic through that
>Battlerite
Frick'em, they had the perfect game with Bloodline Champions and they watered it down without actually taking into account why BLC failed (it wasn't the complexity they removed). That last abortion survival mode they pulled was the last straw.
For all the weird design choices, I liked it. I liked the decepticon dude and the luchador guy. Loved diverging upgrade paths and I hate games in this genre that don't do that. Probably the main reason I was rooting for it instead of overwatch. Can't imagine playing that game for as long as I did something like Awesomenauts.
Short term fun? IDK, its a free thing, so why not? I think people get caught up with thinking "I can't have it forever, so it doesn't matter now", but that feeling should be replaced with enjoying what you have now BECAUSE it won't last forever.
Unless you're doing something else more important.
>invitation needed >hey we're bringin back "XX" for a limited time, not open to everyone tho, frick normies
i feel this is some kind of reverse psychology shit
so i just tried to launch a few online games from the arc launcher on steam deck, they work fine with proton experimental, hopefully it'll be the same with gigantic

>I remember a taller robot being datamined/leaked before the game died?
You're thinking of T-Mat, who was added in the game's final update in Jan 2018. So she was fully playable and perhaps a little busted.
going by other games with live services having similar instances of ToS being shown on stream, they'll just ban the person mid stream if they have people who will narc for them.
I heard the devs of this game allegedly gathered at the office to finish working for this game even when the higher ups no longer could sustain their wages just because they believed in the game's vision and wanted to see it realized. Then it got dragged through mud and shit in reviews because the of the technical instability early playtests that they warned a billion times were not meant for genuine gameplay and were only for people who wanted to help with the technical side of things, which soiled its reputation and made it disappear into the abyss.
Then again, that's what Sh*mmy said, so it might have been a botched hormonal therapy fever dream.
whatever happened, the development was cursed and it was fricked by publishers
would the game have been a massive success without them being fricked over and the game being a forced micro store/w10 exclusive? probably not. A lot of moba/whatever style games were coming out at the time and died with less issues
but the game was fun
The main concept for the game is “each team has a big mascot and at the end they fight,” devs probably didn’t want to compromise their vision (for better or worse).
They got dragged on Steam reviews because the game needed a minimum of 6GB of RAM in 2016, which was a big ask for the average PC goer at the time. This was the case because Microsoft's cash injection came with the caveat that the game needed to work via their Windows 10 Storefront, which they were pushing at the time. The necessary overhaul needed to make it run caused the RAM problems.
>needed a minimum of 6GB of RAM in 2016, which was a big ask for the average PC
No it fricking wasn't. 8gb was pretty much the bare minimum for a decent PC(read, able to run the game). 4gb was not something you were doing unless you were using a PC from pre 2010 or something. Anyone who couldn't launch the game due to RAM issues probably wouldn't have been able run it well anyways.
Any MOBA that groups heroes by role is doomed to be shit. Dota did the smart thing by just making a hero then letting people figure it out. Meanwhile it's been 10 years of Leaguegays b***hing about 'Assassins' and 'Tanks' and 'Mages'.
>heroes by role is doomed >Strength heroes are initiators >Agility heroes are carries >Intelligence heroes are support
nice assumptions you've got there
Gigantic doesn't (or at least didn't) actually group by roles either, and Dota still groups heroes by lane and farm roles just as loosely.
Hey guys. I got insider information and I am not bullshitting. They are bringing Gigantic back to bring attention to the game, they are not remaking it or relaunching it, they are currently working on a sequel which will be in beta soon.
What kind of sequel, OW2 style or full asset remakes? Because the game's right here...
I'd love to see all of the almost-made-its finally realized. Potshot, Bolga, Javash, that unicorn woman. I know they don't exist in the same way as the cat assassin guy, but it'd be incredible if some of the Motiga artists and designers got to come back and actually finish these characters.
Bolga looked hella fun. What unicorn woman though?
I only played the little girl with the dead knight ghost who haunted her sword
Fun game from what I remember
Do we have to go through arc or can we just open the steam version?
Hey guys. I got insider information and I am not bullshitting. They are bringing Gigantic back to bring attention to the game, they are not remaking it or relaunching it, they are currently working on a sequel which will be in beta soon.
Presumably the relaunch proper would be done via Steam because they're not THAT stupid. This is a weird test of some kind that they're framing as an event to drum up interest.
if you can't get it to launch cause of EAC, create a shortcut for the EAC installer that's in the Gigantic files on your desktop, right-click properties on the shortcut and change the target to this >"C:Program Files (x86)Gigantic_enEasyAntiCheatEasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe" install a4a57ff548934dbeba0cc7c62cdf9f34
then run the shortcut, afterwards run this in win+r >"C:Program Files (x86)Gigantic_enGigantic.exe" LV_Grassland
Why do I have so much nostalgia for this game? I remember playing maybe 3 matches because my computer at the time could barely run it, yet seeing it's getting revived and looking at these new screenshots has me almost tearing up.
I've noticed margrave got a slight redesign, and I prefer the old maroon to this.
I don't think anyone else did besides roland, who was never released anyway, but even kajir looks IDENTICAL to his concept art, and he's more NEVER EVER than Roland
Roland technically was released and in the game during pre-Alpha. He just left to get a rework one day and never came back, like a deadbeat. So fricking happy to see him implemented.
if they finish Potshot I will love Gearbox forever
I am not exaggerating that this guy is one of my favorite character designs ever plus he reminds me of Dawngate a little
I'd love to see all of the almost-made-its finally realized. Potshot, Bolga, Javash, that unicorn woman. I know they don't exist in the same way as the cat assassin guy, but it'd be incredible if some of the Motiga artists and designers got to come back and actually finish these characters.
>friends have been making fun of me for years because I told them to play gigantic and then it died shortly after
Finally, redemption. In the form of a 2 day event
I really, really hope they've fixed the stability issues that turned a lot of people away the first time. Gigantic always felt like because it got off on the wrong foot with the MS Windows store thing that they were forever playing catch-up and were unable to tend to some of the more severe bugs. Just hope there's good servers and a matchmaking system.
This thing only has one shot to make a real impression and if it slips up even a little it's tumbling back into the grave.
how are you guys making this run? I tried putting >start Gigantic.exe
after using cd to get to the file's location and it runs but doesn't do anything, and doing LV_Grassland after that command doesn't fix it. what are the commands you guys are using to make it work?
Gigantic.exe LV_Grasslands
one command. EAC may still stop you, if so do
if you can't get it to launch cause of EAC, create a shortcut for the EAC installer that's in the Gigantic files on your desktop, right-click properties on the shortcut and change the target to this >"C:Program Files (x86)Gigantic_enEasyAntiCheatEasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe" install a4a57ff548934dbeba0cc7c62cdf9f34
then run the shortcut, afterwards run this in win+r >"C:Program Files (x86)Gigantic_enGigantic.exe" LV_Grassland
Check out some of the new levels posted ITT, they look straight out of Borderlands
made it work! thank you i was just trying to figure out how to do it on linux for steam deck, apparently i just had the wrong wine version. runs beautifully and the game looks pretty fun 🙂
Didn't the upgrade UI Used to have arrows that showed the path?
Also didn't it used to have character and ability specific key art for the upgrades themselves?
Not sure if I'm misremembering
If so, I think they need to bring that back, bc I like the look of the UI a bit better? but that aspect made upgrading more impactful and readable. Allowed you to see the path you took and gave you a vague sense of what you were picking
PLEASE remember to PROVIDE feedback like this either in questionnaire, discord, or wherever the frick we'll be able to, bc it will help the game a lot.
DON'T FORGET TO GIVE YOUR FEEDBACK.
By vague sense, I mean the unique key art for the upgrades gives you a visual cue as to what the upgrade does, and is intuitive to players who may just be hopping on a character for the first time.
Also didn't sprint also used to be around reticle? that change is fine, forget if I'm misremembering
>Didn't the upgrade UI Used to have arrows that showed the path?
Yes! >Also didn't it used to have character and ability specific key art for the upgrades themselves?
No, it was just a description of what the upgrade does iirc. It looks like the artwork itself on the command keys at the bottom has been simplified, though.
From what I understand, all that happened was 2K finally shutting down the last remaining network infrastructure allowing for p2p matches, which were working the whole time
They accidentally turned on the servers like last year, and then they shut down said servers this year and now they're also shutting down the P2P stuff I think
Didnt they use to give away codes that you can enter and get ALL the playable characters? I remember getting some of them and gave away to some friends.
All I remember was playing this game for 1 or 2 weeks before dropping it because my pc wasnt strong enough to run it smoothly and I hated that lightning b***h that would stealth and instagib me in 2s.
theres a lot of changes under the hood that had no reason to be there unless there was more going on
you dont polish a vase before throwing it away like a moronic ape
so theres some justified hope to be had gayola
>the devs want it to succeed so it will
lol?
it literally does not matter what the devs intend
it died the first time it'll die again because it's just plain boring
Genuinely nobody cared about this before funke or whatever homosexual made a vid crying about how it was actually the best game ever cause you could use abilities to double jump
Its like mandalore conjuring up a million marathon "fans" just in time to get mad at the new teaser
it just needed quicker game modes for people that are into the gameplay but aren't into mobas, by the looks of it they added exactly that, so it won't be as boring for the people that aren't into that
The reasons this shit fell on its face run deeper than a gamemode and progression
Also they dont allow streams or recordings so this couldnt even build hype
maybe they're doing this considering the general consensus i've seen around that overwatch is basically dead at this point
some real estate in the market is freed up now that blizzard has made their game even shittier and more unfun and scuppered most of their community goodwill with the battlepass
people looking for another bright colourful hero shooter could theoretically migrate to gigantic
assuming this is a full relaunch and not just this 2 day little blip
I think Mobas are making a slight comeback, but people don't want ASShomosexualS. they want something a little more. Eternal Return is a BR and a MOBA and its doing pretty well
1) Go to the following link: https://www.arcgames.com/en/gigantic
2) Either log in with your old acount details or register with a new email. The site doesn't seem to differentiate and you don't need an invite. They'll likely send a two-step authentication code to the same email for when you first log in.
3) Download the Arc launcher and install Gigantic. The game should install without issue, but you're not going to be able hit Play it until this "Throwback Event" actually goes live.
Back to die again, eh?
Speaking from experience
OW did get the fame and money owed to gigantic yes.
Overwatch just sucked up all the air in the room with regards to anything vaguely similar. Which made it even more frustrating to watch it - and Blizzard as a whole - steadily shit itself to death.
game looked cool i guess
I missed Mozu so very much.
I missed a lot of characters, honestly. But Mozu holds a special place in my heart.
I never thought I'd see best girl again.
I don't even know why it failed while Hi-rez can pump out even shittier F2P games taht are still running to this day. Miss this to a degree, this, Loadout, Gotham City Imposters and the DC ASShomosexual was actually fun
Perfect world publishing is really really shitty.
>I don't even know why it failed
windows 10 exclusive when 99% of gamers were using win7. microshart tried so hard to make win10 happen, and eventually they gave up. win10 only got market share when they essentially made it illegal to get win7 from retailers.
It failed because someone wanted a tax-writeoff.
>opens tomorrow at 3pm ET
Is there a way to pre-download it?
I can't WFH tomorrow and want to play it as soon as I get home
This is from the previous thread, no idea if it will actually work for those who did not get a personal email invite
>I can't WFH tomorrow and want to play it as soon as I get home
UPDATE: I just got laid off
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOO
Silver linings eh?
Is this only for people who already played the game?
eh, in case it's some subtle test to see if there's enough interest to bring it back i'll hop on. never even played the game much but it was pretty alright and neat
1) Go to the following link: https://www.arcgames.com/en/gigantic
2) Either log in with your old acount details or register with a new email. The site doesn't seem to differentiate and you don't need an invite. They'll likely send a two-step authentication code to the same email for when you first log in.

See you on the airship.
>user is temporarily banned for too much registration
I didn't even WANT to play!
That happened to me yesterday. Just wait a few hours and try again.
There weren't any datamines or leaks. The devs literally streamed for 2 hours as a farewell to show off all the characters they didn't get to finish. They're still archived on the old wiki.
https://gigantic.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Unreleased_heroes
>not a single free time in that small windows of day
Why not bring it back permanently?
>Fortune Card System: Complete exciting challenges to earn Fortune Cards filled with character lore and get in-game currency in the process to use to unlock additional customization options
>Progression System: Experience a revamped progression system that lets you level up to unlock even more customization options from weapons to emotes and much more
>Customization Features: Check out never-before-seen customization content, like unique weapon skins and profile options such as player icons.
There's also screenshots floating around from a private closed beta the other week, which showed we might have fully working versions of some of the near-completed heroes back when the game shuttered in 2018. If that's true then there's also presumably been balance patches.
So basically Dota's Turbo.
And then some other QoL stuff.
Okay, I'm listening.
>Temporary Event Build - NOT FINAL
>Khajir implemented
>Roland readded
Looking very interesting.
readded
Is it still a moba?
Gigantic was always uniquely not quite a MOBA, not quite a hero shooter. It's one of the things that made it difficult to market.
For me it was Rutger and Oru.
Excited to be the useless turret grandma again B)
Based Griselma.
Was she really that bad? I'd have thought in a game all about holding capture points she'd do great with her hand summons.
Griselma apparently had a low win rate, but then so did Xenobia and she could 1v1/2v2 most anybody. Maybe the old bag will be better now.
Here's the overall assessment of the cast from the twilight days of the game. My guy Charnok was the victim of power creep that relegated him to the bottom tier.
I see. She was just too specialized for her own good. I wonder what they could do to beef up the underperformers.
T-MAT only existed for seven months but was in the top 3 for overall damage inflicted by the time the game died. It's honestly impressive.
>I wonder what they could do to beef up the underperformers.
No idea, but I'm open to whatever if it'll make some of the lower tiers more viable overall.
>mozu dead last in win rate
Don't care, mozu isn't for winning fights. She is for pissing people off
>my girl Aisling in C tier
Youre just shit at the game.
>Frog and potion guy A tier
Man of taste!
Will the game allow server hosting this time or is it doomed to die again?
>or is it doomed to die again?
>KG0TH
And the captcha likes Tripp, I guess.
>It's just a nostalgia trip that some people probably fought hard to make happen
I doubt they'd bother to do all the shit in
just for a nostalgia event.
You are clearly confused. This game is not BattleBorn
What's the website? Or is it invite only by email or some shit?
see
It seems you don't actually need an invite. I played the game back in the day, didn't get an email invite but was able to just log in and reinstall the game without issue.
i liked this because it worked on my potato
there was a very very low graphics setting where you could disable textures and everything was grey and purple
So when I told my GF this was back she basically had a stroke, how good is this game to an outsider?
honestly all I remember from it is when some streamers were shilling it back in the day
I played it for a bit and had fun with it but I was more into league at the time
Now that all other mobas and arena shooters committed sodoku I feel like it has a good chance to be successful
I barely saw anything like that for Gigantic, but remember Battleborn trying to drum up a bit of hype.
I'm glad I'm going get to play this one more time, but I doubt anything will come out of it in the long run. Hopefully enough people show up to keep it alive but
>3rd party launcher with frick all games on it.
Temper expectations, absolutely. I'm using this as a way of getting to see a friend one final time.
Nah these guys still release games on Steam, It's cancerous but at least they know that they have to release there to even have a chance to survive.
CHOOSE YOUR HERO
Tyto because I used to destroy everyone with him.
ma homie
playing him is fun as frick.
I got a beta key back when before the game even released and never redeemed it because it was windows 10 and I didn't have windows 10
what did I miss on
You missed first on being able to read, it didn't need windows 10, I played the beta on my 7.
The code I got was especifically to be redeemed in the microsoft store
Weird, you probably got invited to a very early beta because the windows 10 requirement was dropped extremely early on.
I somehow got the invitation email regardless never redeeming the code
I guess I'll finally play the game now
Microsoft picked up the game and agreed to publish it on the condition that Motiga rework it to function on the then-new Windows10 Storefront, so it when it first released it was tethered to either Windows10 or the Xbox One.
There was a brief time the game was announced as Windows 10 exclusive and it definitely drove a lot of people away. I stopped following it around that time and by the time I checked back in they’d announced it was cancelled.
>try to make an arc account
>region is banned
🙁
What did you DO?
Was born in a shithole.
Gearbox won't limit this to ARC, would they? I thought that was just some perfect world shit from way back.
Gearbox doesn't really use arc anymore, of they relaunch it they should use steam... Like all their other games.
this is just a play test anon, if successfull gearbox for sure will open the steam version and the xbox version ASAP, it will depend how good this playtest goes.
i want to frick oru
I understand
>inb4 the servers crap out for over half of the week of this event
It's only on for two days. I assume this is the point of the "throwback event" framing, to test out the servers etc.
REMINDER
Can this game even be played without a mouse?
I'm sure it can since it was available on xbox i believe. also deleted cuz it had my username lol. not that i care but apparently you aren't supposed to show anything with the NDA thing
troonybros... its over..
yeah was making fun of a weird troony on a deck thread yesterday lol
Do chinese players love this kind of setting? Maybe they are the reason for resurrecting it.
>NO STREAMING
>NO SCREENGRABS
>NO RECORDING
are they moronic?
the original closed alphas and betas were like this too. gigantic has always had a ton of NDAs for some reason
And I assume people are just going to ignore it right?
See you tomorrow streamer-kuns
Where was this NDA at? I was able to sign up and download everything and only had to sign the usual terms and conditions.
There's some kind of NDA being talked about. No idea why, but it's fuelling the idea that there's more to this event.
I think there was a closed test a couple of weeks ago before they announced this upcoming Throwback Event thing. So maybe the NDA refers to that?
>please create a third party account
>Won't let me create a account for this stupid launcher
thanks i guess.
I liked playing the frog and funny fruit man
got my email!
I haven't even played since the original pre-microsoft beta but I guess signing up from the url yesterday was good enough

>Gigantic.exe just launches Easy Anti-Cheat and tells me it isn't installed(?)
What am I doing wrong here?
You'll need to disable EAC. Don't ask me how, I'm just going to wait the extra day.
Can confirm it works
Tell me your secrets
Just did what that image said
How complete is Roland?
Interesting that characters are now grouped by role, don’t think that was the case back in the day?
For me it says Easy Anti Cheat is not installed, and running the setup does nothing.
I think I already had EAC installed from a previous game that used it ie. Apex Legends
Wait, what the frick? Roland is back? And a new map in this too? This is way too much for a simple throwback event. Because if it is, then goddamn.
This b***h is implemented too
And there's a new mode and a bunch of features
The game is 100% getting an actual revival, unless the revival was cancelled and they're just doing a throwback event with the remains for some reason
I hope you're right.
Thanks it works!
I hope they've walked back their decision that Tripp is supposed to be a pubstomp character that makes the game completely unapproachable for new players
Maybe the revamped tutorial is their attempt to help new players? I remember the whole game being fairly new player unfriendly.
We can only hope.
>I said it can be slower
>ut I think Overwatch could benefit from being slower.
No you said it could benefit from being slower. Not that it can. And you're wrong because you didn't know OW was killed by being slow
>you said that it could benefit from being slower, not that it can
Could means could
It does not mean could not
OW could not benefit from being slower
Leanr englandish
>Overwatch 2
Who the frick was talking about 2 you said Ow
you are 100% moronic
it's the same fricking word and meaning just different tense
in this context they mean the exact same thing
it could benefit
it can benefit
same thing, most native speakers would use could in this context even if they're talking about the future
>hey bill hows that coffee
>well it could use some more sugar

>Awesomenauts
Hey, I remember this game. Whatever happened to it? Is it still around?
Ronimo Games went bankrupt and the game is only surviving on a 2016 build.
>No screenshots of the thicc healer
this game wont last
Uncle Sven's thicc as frick.
why are they making seem like this was some kind of extremely popular game that people missed?
"beloved strategic hero shooter"? lol people hardly talked about this game. theres a reason why it died
it just didn't hit critical mass, sometimes it takes time for that to happen. look at DRG, it was a niche unknown game gor a while until it exploded, now imagine if ghost ship turned the lights off before that happenend. that's the story of gigantic
I'm so fricking hyped. No other game had leveling like this.
Please god let it come back for real. I want to quit Dota.
T-MAT IS MY ROBOT WIFE.
we really need prettier designs if we want this game to last
T-mat is female? Another robob***h for my collection.
The bio used female pronouns, so yes.
As a newbie what’s the lore for the robots? It’s a bit jarring seeing designs like that when it seems like most of the roster is more cartoony and fantasy inspired.
there was a uuuhhhhh a uuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhh a war i think
Someone through a chair and everyone started fighting.
She's got big wandering ronin vibes.
so theyre using this do gauge interest for a revival, right?
i mean they're even adding new game modes so they already have a team working on it
They absolutely are regardless of what Gearbox says.
For me it was edgy big fist guy and broken old lady
I don't remember and did not play anyone else
Do you like Gigantic anon?
>Pick Sven
>Sticky ground
>All points to fire flask
Napalm sticks to kids...
Any other chess club members coming back for this?
What's the most mobile hero in this game btw? this will be my first time playing and the engine seems to built specifically ro make movement fun
Probably Tyto, but almost every character has some kind of mobility
Tyto has the funny Beyblade trimping frickery, so probably him.
thanks! looks hard to play and precise but extremely fun
?si=G1NpQu5-VhPhNJSU
>looks hard to play and precise
it's not
The game takes like no mechanical skill at all bro.
I dunno, some of the movement tech and stamina management stuff can be pretty precise.
Goddamn I forgot Tyto only had one arm. Time to get my frickin Sasuke on.
can i just install it on steam
dont think so, i tried and its borked. only on arc launcher for now it seems, if interest is high enough they'll likely take it back to steam though
Not this time. You need to go through the Arc client. See:
>Get invited
>Cant install the client because of this
Im actually going to kill myself.
I had the same problem. Go to add or remove programs > uninstall Gigantic AND Gigantic Launcher > Install Arc from the Arc website > download Gigantic through that
what if you put the launcher .exe on steam and run it through proton experimental? that's what i did on linux and it just werked
Do you need to uninstall Arc first? I still had the older, outdated version sat on my PC and that was messing things up.
I need to dig up some of my old character concepts, I got bored waiting for the beta and spent a while just cranking them out.
wow
replace the disgusting monster with big women and ill play it.
Wish there were smaller, playable versions of the Guardians. Wouldn't make a lick of sense but I wanna play as the laser chicken.
Here's hoping they've balanced Tripp.
I hope this means battleborn can come back as well
or battlerite
Those morons didn't know how to keep their game fresh, so they removed what made the game fun. What a bunch of morons, I can't believe BR died.
P.S. I just remembered what they did with BRR, oh god, I hope their studio burns down.
all they had to do was improve the core gameplay. curse them!
>Battlerite
Frick'em, they had the perfect game with Bloodline Champions and they watered it down without actually taking into account why BLC failed (it wasn't the complexity they removed). That last abortion survival mode they pulled was the last straw.
Some of the characters in that were fun v the AI because i cou;dn't find anyone to play with
For all the weird design choices, I liked it. I liked the decepticon dude and the luchador guy. Loved diverging upgrade paths and I hate games in this genre that don't do that. Probably the main reason I was rooting for it instead of overwatch. Can't imagine playing that game for as long as I did something like Awesomenauts.
give me one reason to play this game, wich looks amazing, knowing it's gone after 3 days.
Is there a private server or something?
>give me one reason
FOMO
cheeky piece of that's actually a good reason
Short term fun? IDK, its a free thing, so why not? I think people get caught up with thinking "I can't have it forever, so it doesn't matter now", but that feeling should be replaced with enjoying what you have now BECAUSE it won't last forever.
Unless you're doing something else more important.
There is already a sort of p2p private launcher available in the internet, not the full release but definitely something.
>just 3 days
Honestly, if it's as good as the rumours claim, it only lessens my desire to play it
Just 3 days?
Nahhhh
its a playtest bro
>invitation needed
>hey we're bringin back "XX" for a limited time, not open to everyone tho, frick normies
i feel this is some kind of reverse psychology shit
And it's working
There's no invites, they just pushed an email to the old mailing list because otherwise no one would know this is fricking happening
so i can just fooking play it?
No! Youre not supposed to divulge the contents of the secret email!
so what'll happen to the people that record gameplay and take screenshots btw? we'll obviously do it...... right?
I bet they'll aggressively litigate all of their potential consoomers
I wouldnt be surprised if its just reverse psychology.
>no dont record and stream this game and advertise it for free
maybe it's just in case there's game breaking bugs in there, if there aren't any then you can advertise for free as much as you want
aight I signed up you viral marketers
you're lucky most of Ganker is flooded with AI images and horrible to browse so I'm looking to do something else with my miserable life
>accept invite
>launch arc
>no game
>change launcher language to english
>got game
>Can play Xenobia and go her upgrade route made to cuck tripp gays one more time.
WE ARE SO BACK.
>can knock people off of the map again
so i just tried to launch a few online games from the arc launcher on steam deck, they work fine with proton experimental, hopefully it'll be the same with gigantic
>played gigantic since the closed alpha
>no invite sent to email
pain…
>>no invite sent to email
You don't need an invite to join. The invite link is completely generic so literally anyone with an Arc account can sign up.
oh shit thanks
see
You don't need an email.
Is the game actually bootable right now? I was able to download and install it through arc but it doesn't boot at all. Or did I just frick it up?
Nah, not unless you use the console to force boot it into a training map. They finished that cat assassin character from the farewell stream.
Cool,, I'm fine with waiting just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out. Thanks
Anyone know how to get around Easy Anti Cheat when force booting the game?
I remember loving it and being sad when it shutdown but I can't remember a thing about the characters for some reason
I think I played the robot or the woman with the jetpacks. I remember a taller robot being datamined/leaked before the game died?
>I remember a taller robot being datamined/leaked before the game died?
You're thinking of T-Mat, who was added in the game's final update in Jan 2018. So she was fully playable and perhaps a little busted.
>DON'T STREAM THIS
How are they going to enforce this? Realistically?
going by other games with live services having similar instances of ToS being shown on stream, they'll just ban the person mid stream if they have people who will narc for them.
>they have people who will narc for them
I hate reddit so fricking much bros
I never had to sign an NDA so they can’t make me do shit.
A lot of moba/whatever style games were coming out at the time and died with less issues
but the game was fun
my only problem is the moba part why don't they just add simple game modes like capture the flag, hot zone, tdm, etc
Keep in mind we are talking about RAM not VRAM.
you guys do know that i won, right?
Finally, a chance to hear daddy Grenn's smooth voice again
bird sex
I agree, that's the main reason I hope this game revives
where are the gigantic breasts?
Do gigantic chicken breasts count?
I never played this game because it was 60 fps lock.
is it only playable for one weekend? why?
Probably just to test and see how much interest they are gonna generate.
Any MOBA that groups heroes by role is doomed to be shit. Dota did the smart thing by just making a hero then letting people figure it out. Meanwhile it's been 10 years of Leaguegays b***hing about 'Assassins' and 'Tanks' and 'Mages'.
Dota still has grouping system it's just not forced. I mean you can even filter heroes based on stuns and escapes too.
>heroes by role is doomed
>Strength heroes are initiators
>Agility heroes are carries
>Intelligence heroes are support
nice assumptions you've got there
Everything you just said is wrong.
Gigantic doesn't (or at least didn't) actually group by roles either, and Dota still groups heroes by lane and farm roles just as loosely.
What kind of sequel, OW2 style or full asset remakes? Because the game's right here...
Bolga looked hella fun. What unicorn woman though?
I only played the little girl with the dead knight ghost who haunted her sword
Fun game from what I remember
Do we have to go through arc or can we just open the steam version?
presumably either but it remains to be seen
there's a steam version? I didn't see shit in the store.
they removed it from the storefront but if you played it there its still on your library
People have been getting missing .dll errors with steam.
Use Arc to be safe.
EAC launched but didn't stop me. Sorry, maybe you need to have another EAC game or something.
Hey guys. I got insider information and I am not bullshitting. They are bringing Gigantic back to bring attention to the game, they are not remaking it or relaunching it, they are currently working on a sequel which will be in beta soon.
Sukumizu Aisling. Y/N?
Obviously, why would you even need to ask?
I dont think the ghost would approve.
>windows 10
no
the more things change, the more they stay the same
So it's only working via Arc launcher right?
Correct. Regrettable, but correct.
if they actually relaunch this shit and its stuck on arc i will laugh my ass off
Presumably the relaunch proper would be done via Steam because they're not THAT stupid. This is a weird test of some kind that they're framing as an event to drum up interest.
Damn, guess I can delete the Steam one again.
if you can't get it to launch cause of EAC, create a shortcut for the EAC installer that's in the Gigantic files on your desktop, right-click properties on the shortcut and change the target to this
>"C:Program Files (x86)Gigantic_enEasyAntiCheatEasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe" install a4a57ff548934dbeba0cc7c62cdf9f34
then run the shortcut, afterwards run this in win+r
>"C:Program Files (x86)Gigantic_enGigantic.exe" LV_Grassland
So fricking happy to see him implemented.
please got let them finish potshot and also get devon cady-lee back on the devteam
if they finish Potshot I will love Gearbox forever
I am not exaggerating that this guy is one of my favorite character designs ever
plus he reminds me of Dawngate a little
>spoiler
One quality game robbed of life getting a revival was already a miracle.
Both of them is far too much to expect.
I hope they get as much of the original devteam back as they can. It just wouldn't be the same game without Motiga's passion.
I'd love to see all of the almost-made-its finally realized. Potshot, Bolga, Javash, that unicorn woman. I know they don't exist in the same way as the cat assassin guy, but it'd be incredible if some of the Motiga artists and designers got to come back and actually finish these characters.
UNLEASH HIS FURY.
>friends have been making fun of me for years because I told them to play gigantic and then it died shortly after
Finally, redemption. In the form of a 2 day event
Some more maps to test that you can load in
>LV_MistForge
>LV_Canyon
>LV_WizardWoods
>LV_Valley
>LV_SkyCity2
so cool seeing the maps again, they really were great
>SkyCity2
Holy shit, I just rewatched the farewell stream and saw the untextured map. It has decorations and it looks all sci-fi now, this is so cool
I just got a beta invitation on my Hotmail account. I never get any notification on that email anymore, this is how old this is.
What time does it actually start tomorrow?
21:00 CEST as per the email.
>>It's just for PC right?
This event if just for PC and is done via the Arc launcher. There's been nothing about Xbox.
Wow, so they really did just dig out an old mailing list.
It's just for PC right?
why are consolegays always like this
b***h I was an early beta teaster on Xbox I'm just fricking curious if I get to play again
I tried putting
>start Gigantic.exe
after using cd to get to the file's location and it runs but doesn't do anything, and doing LV_Grassland after that command doesn't fix it. what are the commands you guys are using to make it work?
Gigantic.exe LV_Grasslands
one command. EAC may still stop you, if so do
Check out some of the new levels posted ITT, they look straight out of Borderlands
made it work! thank you i was just trying to figure out how to do it on linux for steam deck, apparently i just had the wrong wine version. runs beautifully and the game looks pretty fun 🙂
It looks like the artwork itself on the command keys at the bottom has been simplified, though.
rs is rush, lv is standard, br is ??? -- brawl sounds like tdm. neat
Having a TDM mode to get people used to the combat is actually a really smart idea.
Evolve revival when
>he doesn't know
Evolve came back dude. And then is supposed to or was shut down again for real this time sometime this year.
From what I understand, all that happened was 2K finally shutting down the last remaining network infrastructure allowing for p2p matches, which were working the whole time
They accidentally turned on the servers like last year, and then they shut down said servers this year and now they're also shutting down the P2P stuff I think
God imagine how funny it would be if Gigantic came back. OW2 would be even more of a laughing stock.
Gigantic was always way fricking better than Overwatch and the fact that Overwatch lived while Gigantic died is a warcrime.
is there gonna be a way to look at usage stats?
Probably not from our side.
Wu a qt
Sex with annoying little goblin girl
>Gigantic is alive
Nature is healing
I don't care if it's limited, it's based.
>sega drag queen extraction shooter gets canned before release
>gigantic comes back from the dead and more
This is more than nature healing. This is some alternate reality planetary alignment shit right here.
we just need dawngate to get world peace
PLEASE
>Already found a game breaking bug
Sorry for what I'm about to do to you all tomorrow
>anon proves to Gearbox that the game is a still a buggy piece of shit and that they should cancel the revival
Thanks a lot, anon
I think a dev forgot to change back a value on a certain ability when they were done testing something. Hopefully it's an easy fix.
tell us what it is, anon
we need to know
>some of you guys are okay. Don't go to the Battlefield tomorrow
proof?
Didnt they use to give away codes that you can enter and get ALL the playable characters? I remember getting some of them and gave away to some friends.
All I remember was playing this game for 1 or 2 weeks before dropping it because my pc wasnt strong enough to run it smoothly and I hated that lightning b***h that would stealth and instagib me in 2s.
Yeah, they had a Founders Edition they gave away for free constantly in a desperate bid to attract players.
Back for 2 days before it gets back in its shallow grave cause its a shit game and no amount of yt videos will change that
Edgy
Its not even a hot take
This is like celebrating the comeback of spellbreak shit will just die in a week like the last 3 times
theres a lot of changes under the hood that had no reason to be there unless there was more going on
you dont polish a vase before throwing it away like a moronic ape
so theres some justified hope to be had gayola
>the devs want it to succeed so it will
lol?
it literally does not matter what the devs intend
it died the first time it'll die again because it's just plain boring
Genuinely nobody cared about this before funke or whatever homosexual made a vid crying about how it was actually the best game ever cause you could use abilities to double jump
Its like mandalore conjuring up a million marathon "fans" just in time to get mad at the new teaser
>it's just plain boring
hey everyone is entitled to an opinion
even flies, but i wouldnt trust their enjoyment of shit personally
you do you and all
you thought this was a clever response
it worked wonders
it just needed quicker game modes for people that are into the gameplay but aren't into mobas, by the looks of it they added exactly that, so it won't be as boring for the people that aren't into that
The reasons this shit fell on its face run deeper than a gamemode and progression
Eternal Return is a BR and a MOBA and its doing pretty well
Paladins was always better than both this and overwatch
Hell I'd sooner reinstall smite
this but completely veiled in sarcasm
Can't fricking wait to play Zandora and HK again, bros.
Where the furry girls at?
I never played this back in the day because I didn't have a gaming PC at the time, is it possible to sneak into this with a new account?
did you actually look at the thread before posting this
i think you already have the answer to that question so why ask
/sarcasm on :3
See
See you guys on the airship soon. I am gonna be binging this shit like there is no tomorrow.
