The game has gotten several patches to address performance since that Tweet, like removing the npcs walking through battle scenarios in cities and capping the spawns of mons in Casseroya. They just haven't suddenly made the game run perfectly, which they never promised
good point. when time travel does happen in the series fossils will then be pointless
