Were there any games for that kind of 90s cyberspace aspect? I mean like Reboot, Tron and the whole "The Internet is a glowy space that you can hack into" thing.
I know Shadowrun did it, with deckers, but I'm looking for a game that's primarily set in...THE WEB.

Bump for interest. I've always wanted to give Alternity a try, but I don't think it has quite the setup you're looking for, even if the aesthetics are probably pretty close.

I've already tried getting cyberspace discussion going here; nobody is interested in it.

        It's been 2 days and there's only 10 replies.
Nobody gives a shit, just like when I posted my thread about cyberspace.

Cyberpunk 2020 has 2 whole sourcebooks and like 15% of the corebook dedicated to fricking around in cyberspace.
It does not mesh well with meatspace gameplay, but on its own it might work better.

It's the same with Shadowrun, at least the first and probably the second edition, too.

Then you might be interested in Server Crash, one of old /tg/'s homebrews:

I've played Engine Heart, Blam! and Time Wizards, all of which are great beer & pretzels games for one-shots.

      This. Digits have already confirmed

Honestly, Cyberpunk 2020 seems to be the best for this. Cyberspace is divided into different and distinct virtual realities (Pacifica, GUSMAT, Africani...). If all characters are netrunners nothing stops you from running a Cyberspace campaign.

Netrunners could work. Note that by RED it works very differently though.

RED is just a cash grab following the release of 2077. It sucks.

A long time ago I started working on a game that was based on exactly your concept of the cool 90s future internet, OP.

I called it Cyberspace 1999 and looking back, I don't recall writing this much text.

Not OP, but is this all of it? Because it looks pretty cool.

Sorry, OP, people just aren't interested in this subject.
    It's a shame.
People would rather ignore you on the subject until you challenge them, and then all you get is deflection after pathetic deflection; not actually addressing the potential of the premise.
