This was my biggest issue with the show despite me really liking it. They basically took existing characters and plopped them into roles that didn't fit their pre-established personalities. Bugs was basically a rabbit Jerry Seinfeld, Daffy became a slacker instead of either being a hyperactive lunatic or a conniving swindler, Taz was a literal pet, etc. The only ones that basically stayed the same were Porky (as he's dull no matter what), Granny and Tweety. Even Sylvester and Speedy were subdued compared to their usual selves.

People got so heated over the implication that they would add a Goonies character, among other live action characters. The same people only want CN and AS characters in the roster, which would be fine if they were open to literally anything else. I get the majority of the fanbase is naturally going to be zoomers but it sucks how they forget multiversus is supposed to be about the entirely of WB, not the random 2000s cartoons they grew up with

As far as being tilted over a Goonie's rep, with it being that late into the open beta and everything slowing down, there was legitimate worry that the game would outright die and not come back so choosing a rep from that movie as opposed to one from a much more popular source material seemed like a really bad idea.
Saying that "anything is on the table" doomed this game to a level of rosterhomosexualry hell comparable to how bad Smash Bros went. People got so invested into their never-ever picks that any newcomer that isn't up to their standards gets shit on.

As far as roster gayging goes, the best way to do it is to at least try to be creative and come up with a moveset and whatnot for your pick.

My big concern is that with everything they have done so far, their potential to make interesting stages might be shot. Like consider the fact that ramps don't exist in any of the maps. A simple piece of geometry that could be used to make interesting maps might be impossible to implement.
