That's true though. Act 3 straight up has no upper city and the ending is rushed game of thrones tv show/mass effect 3 tier slop. Meanwhile Shadowheart and Laezel only go from being a zealot of X to a zealot of Y. The other companions literally just don't have actual stories.
It has a professional voice acted cutscene for literally every piece of dialogue and the characters are all quite memorable. they all try to frick you every night when you go to sleep but you can ignore them if you want. there are also mods to make some of the characters less ugly. Clearly there is at least one angry troony working at Larian. It is also not optimized yet, runs fine on my 4080 desktop, but my 4070 laptop can't handle Act 3 even on 1080p.
First CRPG I've played and I'm enjoying it so far, will give crpgs another shot after this
