Depends on what you mean. I'm fine with stuff that stays subtext as long as it doesn't feel like the writing is forcing itself to hold back, but I prefer when things go all the way. BR Second Light has both with Ao's relationships being the former and Yuki/Rena being the latter. I also want to kill everyone involved in the creation of BR Sun.

I'm not even really passed the intro because there's so much goddamn talking. I don't even really know why I downloaded it really since it's not my thing at all.

For example the people who force themselves to play Souls-likes even when they hate the concept and the games they've played, complaining all the way and asking if the next game will be of their liking (even when they haven't played the previous seven or eight they already played) because they can't deal with the idea of not doing the same things other people are doing at the moment.
Don't. One of the main features of the second game is going on dates with the other girls and that's all dialogue with a couple dialogue options. It's the vast majority of your playtime if you go for the optional dates and even if you don't, the main story also has lots of dialogue. I suggest playing something like Ys VIII instead. Still fairly dialogue-heavy, but it gets you in the action much sooner and more frequently.
Yes the gameplay in the second is much better. Don't be afraid to skim through the dialogue I know I did for my first playthroughs ans still fell in love with the series.
Ao has a scythe cause she's chuuni, Hinako has a sword cause she has the soul of a hero, Kokoro's dad goes hunting so she has a gun cause shes seen that before, Rena is rhytmic gymnast so she has a hoop, Hiori has2 swords cause in the anime EVERYBODY just had a plain sword cause the anime is a fricking creatively bankrupt disaster and giving her two swords was the only thing they could do to keep her consistent with show but unique for the game
I hate Ao so much, she was a literal mary sue. Evil Uta seemed interesting but nothing happened in the game, same with Hiori's sister whose name I can't remember.
Always fun to go back here after playing Cuphead. Anyway, another thing worth mentioning is that from what I've read, the PC version is the only version that can be played at 60 FPS, if you have a powerful PC at least. The game is 30 FPS on Nintendo Switch *and* PS4 even if you use a PS4 Pro, so, the PC version might be the best version not just graphically but also when it comes to performance.

Between the two games (not counting Blue Reflection Sun), Blue Reflection: Second Light is even better than the first one.
I love both Blue Reflections but the first one was special to me cause of all its weird experimental gameplay systems

Some people have a pathological desire to "fit in" so they don't move on when they should.
For example the people who force themselves to play Souls-likes even when they hate the concept and the games they've played, complaining all the way and asking if the next game will be of their liking (even when they haven't played the previous seven or eight they already played) because they can't deal with the idea of not doing the same things other people are doing at the moment.

There was a thread about UI and someone posted this game and I thought it was pretty slick.
Don't. One of the main features of the second game is going on dates with the other girls and that's all dialogue with a couple dialogue options. It's the vast majority of your playtime if you go for the optional dates and even if you don't, the main story also has lots of dialogue. I suggest playing something like Ys VIII instead. Still fairly dialogue-heavy, but it gets you in the action much sooner and more frequently.
Yes the gameplay in the second is much better. Don't be afraid to skim through the dialogue I know I did for my first playthroughs ans still fell in love with the series.

Ao has a scythe cause she's chuuni, Hinako has a sword cause she has the soul of a hero, Kokoro's dad goes hunting so she has a gun cause shes seen that before, Rena is rhytmic gymnast so she has a hoop, Hiori has2 swords cause in the anime EVERYBODY just had a plain sword cause the anime is a fricking creatively bankrupt disaster and giving her two swords was the only thing they could do to keep her consistent with show but unique for the game

Always fun to go back here after playing Cuphead. Anyway, another thing worth mentioning is that from what I've read, the PC version is the only version that can be played at 60 FPS, if you have a powerful PC at least. The game is 30 FPS on Nintendo Switch *and* PS4 even if you use a PS4 Pro, so, the PC version might be the best version not just graphically but also when it comes to performance.
