It's one of the best videogames for ACTUAL roleplaying, has sufficient build variety, and good exploration. Feigning disinterest won't make you seem cool.
unironically fallout 1 was one of the most enjoyable to me to play once you get used to the fact its a 90s CRPG. My only complaint is there wasn't more but whats there is soooo much a vibe, it all synches up so well.
Even if it's a good game, which I won't confirm or deny because I kinda drifted away from it during Downtown, it's still a mediocre-to-bad RPG. Roleplaying freedom is abysmal.
you have to come to accept that you are a sheep who only starts playing a game once a tv show has been made about it. frick i hate these people.
>2010: huh, fallout what? never heard of it, sounds dumb and nerdy, pathetic loser.
>2024: HAVE YOU PLAYED FALLOUT? WOW I AM GOING TO START! THE SERIES IS AMAZING HAVE YOU SEEN ALL EPISODES, WOW! WHAT AM I IN FOR?? IS IT LIKE THE Amazon SERIES?!?
Bros, I have a serious problem. There are so many games I want to play (especially Fallout 1,2, NV), but I don't want to drop my Stardew Valley farm. I'm 55 hours in and I'm only at the year 2 spring 27.
A non-canon fan game. It doesn't really have the spirit of Fallout but its fun in it's own way. Vault-tec and the Brotherhood of Steel, the main factions of Fallout, hardly even appear.
That's why I prefer Fallout 5 Brotherhood of Steel: The Brotherhooding of the Steel.
It contains the most Fallout of the Fallout factions:
The Brotherhood of Steel.
You are a member of the Brotherhood of Steel and must find a Steel with your Brothers.
if you don't do anything else, pick up some of the bug/crash/stability fix mods and consider grabbing Tale of Two Wastelands since it combines Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas into one massive game via a railroad that connects the Mojave Wasteland to the Capital Wasteland.
Just order your HRT now, so it arrives before you finish it
are you guys just trolling or unironically believe this

it's been 8 years anon...
Yeah, the trolls already left years ago. It's just tourists and autists that remain. Welcome to the late stage phase of a meme.
what's there not to believe?
An ok rpg with extremely clunky combat and generally dated systems.
It's still best in class but the class is special education.
Quality witty post. Shame it's wasted on an undeserved negative remark concerning a good game. Would have been even funnier if it properly applied.
Fallout NV is the best of the 3D Fallouts but it's still a severely mediocre game and massively overrated.
It's one of the best videogames for ACTUAL roleplaying, has sufficient build variety, and good exploration. Feigning disinterest won't make you seem cool.
I am stealing that.
Should have started with Fallout 1

I'd say it's for the better. fallout 2 is a lot more but has worse tone, pacing and balance.
Bugs, crashes and stuttering problems... but if you use all mods to fix those it will probably be the best western RPG you ever played.
>best western RPG

>*chinatown softlocks you*
Western as in cowboys obviously anon
Get the JUST assorted mods so it plays more like Fallout 4 without being Fallout 4
Yippie-yaaaaaaaay~
There'll be no wedding bells for todayyyy~
Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter.
>what am in for?

why would you assume this? are you okay anon...?
Videogames.
Its just more of you being a homosexual sorry

For a big iron in your ass
Get ready to move 5x as fast indoors as you do outside because physics is tied to framerate :^)
an alright experience.
The open world can be tedious after your first playthrough, so I suggest mods after the initial playthrough.
I would recommend crash/stability mods for a first playthrough, the game runs pretty atrociously on modern PCs.
I forgot about that.
Kek I am so used to installing crash mods that it's second nature now.

Much better than that non-Fallout slop.
Comfy, one of my favorite game worlds. If you don't like it by the time you get to the strip drop it but at least give it a chance until then
