Bayonetta doesn't have the souls camera with lock-on, emphasis on retrying encounters, stamina, 5 armor slots, 7 rpg stats, estus flask, random equipment drops and so on.

You need some serious mental gymnastics to convince someone that bayonetta is a soulslike. Meanwhile anyone who isn't a niohgay can instantly see that Nioh is essentially the same thing as souls but twitchy and ugly.
They added stances in Nioh 1 and later all the other crap in Nioh 2 but forgot to give an average player reasons to use it. A lot of players literally used a single attack in one stance to beat the whole game, some even bragged about never using all this so called combat depth at all. Essentially Team Ninja wasted their resources on a proof of concept experiment for a minority of combo nerds and is not planning to repeat it in the near future (considering it survives their next game about japanese diogenes).

So? There's obviously surface level souls influences. Doesn't mean it isn't 90% character action kino.
Calling nioh a soulslike is like calling every game with platforming a mario like, nioh 2 combat is really something else and ruin most games for me, sure it lack good level design and loot doesn't last long but it's strength overshadow everything else

Bonfires are just levels/checkpoints and in my experience people complain about too many multi-enemy encounters. (A stupid complaint imo)
