Wooloo and Lechonk. Both reddit meme Pokemon no one gives a frick about anymore.
>Literally just a lazy cartoon pig and sheep
No wonder people don't gives a frick about these anymore
For me the opposite. I like Lechonk and his evos after actually playing the game. They really advertised it as a meme piece of trash, but it was actually a fine design with a fine theme, and its a cute good boy. Besides, its a waaaaay better mon than "las gods bidoofa:)" moron that this tarddom kept memeing for years forcedly when it was never even a minuscule crumb of funny.
fennekin after people found out it evolved into a feminine furry garbage
probably both litten and popplio
idk this question is moronic. every past gen mons lose popularity after time. but disapppinting starters evolutions is the only thing that comes to mind bout a significant one
Most pokemon that were popular years ago are still popular somehow
>unovabort character in a phone game
>fell off
Zoomer thread.
Poliwhirl
Zoroark
Goodra
Zoroark was never popular, GF just tried really hard to make it the new Lucario until they eventually gave up.
It was pretty popular. They just fricked up it's distribution and comp value.
43000 of those votes are Masuda.
Not being the next Lucario doesn't make it unpopular.
They didn't try at all though
>oh no the pokemon we made an entire movie about is losing popularity, quick something
>gets regional
Imagine if we got tropical Darkrai wearing a Hawaiian shirt
Zoroark, they even had to make Zoroark 2 to make him relevant
zoroark
most gen 4 pokemon
lucario and garchomp kept their relevance but not much else
Piplup is still very popular, but outside of him and the other two you mentioned, gen 4 really fell wayside.
Gen 4 suffers from a very limited dex. Out of 106 mons, 14 are legendary or legendary-adjacent, 27 are cross-gen, and the remaining 65 mons are mostly niche. I adore Cherrim, but we all lnow ot was never winning a popularity contest. The only real competitors for any hope of mass-appeal were the starters, Shinx (who was practically dex-cut before it was cool), Garchomp, and Lucario.
Me, Ash and Gengar.
Greninja
Greninja didn't fell off. It was straight up thrown off a cliff by TPC themselves.
It's crazy how spiteful they became towards the frog for some godforsaken reason.
That's because greninja threatened CHARIZARD'S popularity so TPC had to do something about it
This. It also didn't help the BRASTO BAAM that 1 hit his last nail in the coffin, when it was obvious (even for CASUALS AND NORMIES) that a water type defeats a fire type.
I know the "Ash doesn't have to win" rule, but they could've done Alola like "now that I won, I get to have a vacation, and help this new league while I'm at it". Not prove the Charizard shilling and murder Greninja behind the shed.
>they could've done Alola like "now that I won, I get to have a vacation, and help this new league while I'm at it".
That's pretty much what they did anyway. The SM series as a whole was just Ash dicking around and occasionally trying to find a new Z Crystal, there was no overall plot based around the "league". That thing was just a random tournament they introduced 2 years into the series.
Infernape was very popular. Now he's just one of the bunch.
Greninja wasn't killed, now he gets equal treatment with the others. In Gen 6 he received shamefully favorable treatment, leaving Delphox and Chesnaught in the trash (something never seen before) and displacing Pikachu from co-starring in the anime.
I feel like Lucario is a lot less popular than it used to be.
Spiritomb? Used to be pretty popular and cool because of how you got it making it rare, as well as the type combination making it have no weaknesses and a lot of immunities. But with fairy fricking over the type, and it not really making sense anywhere but in Sinnoh games, it feels like it dropped off pretty hard.
Rotom, while I think is still generally liked because it can do a bunch of cool things - definitely is disliked a lot more nowadays. Rotom-Phone, Rotom-dex, Rotom-car, Rotom-fricking-vibrator - it’s fricking overkill and they’ve honestly just errored so much of the goodwill that used to be attached to an admittedly pretty cool design that you could catch in a cool way.
I think Staraptor used to be a lot bigger too. I don’t have as clear a reason for it - it’s probably just overcrowding - but I feel like it’s definitely there. Actually, you know what? It’s definitely overcrowding, because the same thing has absolutely hit Pidgeot too.
Man I didn’t want to shit on gen 4, but just spending a minute thinking about it, it’s just where a lot of those mons come from. Maybe it’s just an attestant to how popular a lot of them were at their height.
Furgays got a lot of new stuff, so they’re less funnelled into any one mon nowadays. Lucario used to be more unique when it came out, but there’s just a lot of competition. The only one that really kept it’s place imo is Gardevoir.
Could it be the Charizard effect? Where Lucario has gotten so much exposure that some people are tired of it? I mean Mega Lucario was still relevant well into Gen 8, in anime and spin-offs.
Lucario is still very popular but it has become part of the "background popular" and overall a general mainstay.
It helps that outside obligatory inclusions he's not getting crammed on your face 24/7 on every single project there is unlike with Charizard.
When was the last time you truly thought "Oh my God, fricking Lucario getting shoehorned again?"
Honestly, the last time I can think of such a thing is XY with it wanked as the first Mega and stuff.
Even Ash's Lucario was warmly received at first because Ash getting a Lucario was one of those things people wanted for over a decade. Granted, they completely botched the execution and it was also a bit of too little too late, but that's besides the point.
Im not sure if people even remember Espurr nowadays
Espurr was always a shitmon.
Blastoise unironically
Darkrai
I feel like Blastoise bros have fallen off, Charizard is the goat and Venusaur bros were always small but sturdy.
zeraora
I forget this Pokemon exists.
as you should
everything past gen 1
Mewtwo gets a lot more shit than he used to
Ampharos has been largely forgotten
Poliwhirl
Mudkip
Former meme status of Mudkip aside, there are a lot of Gen 3 pokemon that fell to the wayside as soon as a later gen introduced a pokemon that did the design gimmick but better.
Rowlet
Still a king
Maybe it was just because of the misconception people had in the west about some "secret" it had because of badly translated marketing, but for Pokemon that were so crazy popular and shilled so hard they made an unironic reskin new form complete with Z-Move and Anime protagonist syndrome these things barely even exist these days. Well, the quads at least, Midnight still pops up with furries.
I miss the extreme fricking autism of the Lycanroc smashboards, a shithole so deranged it made /vp/ posters look sane.
Jigglypuff.
Had such an iconic presence in the anime that they put her in the original Smash Bros.
adding jiggly in smash was by pure coincidence that it had a simple shape and moveset could be easily copied from kirby. if there wasnt a time crunch Bowser probably wouldve made into 64 instead.
Sylveon and Tapu Lele
Sylveon is the second most popular Gen 6 Pokemon and none of the Tapus are very popular
It is irrelevant to be popular in Kalos. It's all Cringeninja and a little bit of Sylveon and Braixen.
Tapu Lele was popular during the Alola era.
>Braixen
Fell off
Why are you still posting this chart like it matters
Eevees in general are always big, and they help keep each other relevent by being a group. They even ruined Penny’s fight just to shill them.
The least popular’s probably Leafeon???
Most is unfortunately vaporeon for obvious reasons.
