I've never played these games. Why are there multiple versions after 2 and what's the difference? Is it as unimportant as pokemon?
For 3 the only difference are some exclusive chips, 1 different boss and each version has an exclusive form. For 4-6 the differences are that each game gets access to entirely exclusive forms which mean they also get multiple exclusive bosses related to said forms and some different giga chips. Also in 6 the final boss is the cover beast of whichever version you chose since that's the one you fused with.
Due to Japan weirdness, BN3 Blue is closer to Pokemon Yellow. It has an extra boss fight, a far better giga chip, and bug fixes.
The bug fixes were ported to White when it was localized
Is there actually any major difference or is just like pokemon?
I went with Gregar the first time i played 6 and felt like the crosses were too samey, were Falzar crosses more varied? Also why the frick were there 2 fire based crosses?
I feel like faltzer's beast form may actually be better since i think it has all the benifets of gregar but also has airboots. Don't quote me on it. As for crosses, I don't know since I've only ever played gregar.
My primary problem was that too many Gregar crosses felt like they filled the same sort of niche except with different flavors of elements so I mostly abused Slash and Elec, souls in previous games felt less redundant. I was mostly just asking if Falzar crosses felt more different from each other.
I don't get why they give Tengu cross to Falza when you already have air shoes in Beast cross. If they swap Tengu cross with Charge cross that would have made more sense
Because Tengu cross and Erase cross being in the same game would be overpowered. One shits one auras and the other shits on Invis.
Didn't Red Sun also have Wind soul and Search soul that shits both auras and Invis at the same time?

Falzar doesn't have super armor, which makes Gregar not give a frick when mashing the chip or buster button in beast mode

He does, Falzar buster is slower than a vulcan while Gregar is a vulcan at x2 speed

That bothered me as well, should have given Ground to Gregar and either given Charge to Falzar.
Gregar is more focused on Power while Falzar focused on Tech

Now expert players who know how to dodge wont really care for the heal, but newbie players will love it.
Or you know what? Bring back Number and either Meddy/Roll as a cross as a secret bonus. Gregar gets Number, Meddy/Roll goes to Falzar

im a big starforce fan but i never played battle network so this collection will be great for me but i still want something new even if it was just mega man 12 using a slightly better version of 11's engine and with more playable characters

What's the appeal of any other style besides Team? You're going to end up using it anyways once you want V4 navi chips.
I never completed the library because of that, i wasn't going to give up my custom style just to get the chance of obtaining some chips that only exist to force players into team style
I never got it just because I didn't want to spend hours grinding battles just to unlock the style and max it out. I liked the Style system but it at least Souls didn't force that shit on you.
I hope they force you to beat each one to progress to the next one. Except in the cases of dual versions you need to beat one of them to continue

For that cutscene i picked Sonia, 99% of the time i’ll like the tsun girl more but Sonia is special is like she was designed to be the ideal first girlfriend, with that being said Luna is obviously the end game and will marry Geo

You kidding man? They're both completely equal outside of Luna getting some special focus by one dev for 3. It's also crazy you think Sonia is the "First girlfriend" type when she's the one who centers Geo a lot of the time and is almost always there for him in some way. Luna's all over the place in dependability and you have to put up with her incessant nagging nonstop in every single game. Nothing is ever good enough for her and she never really seems to drop her shtick no matter what is going on. She'll get reluctant about stuff and when the whole Ophiuca stuff happens she becomes withdrawn a bit but besides that she's always how she normally is.
I'm a guy who enjoys tsundere archetypes but even for me Luna is just way too much and not enough breaking her personality to show her true self to Geo.
Swap Blue Moon for Red Sun and I agree.
