Prices are through the roof and it's impossible to find somewhere to rent regardless. The reason is a mix of covid massively increasing cost of living and some dumb fricking laws they recently passed that makes landlords no longer want to rent their shit out anymore, so they're not, every inspection has like 100 people at it and the prices are jacked.

Im in my late 30s and been playing online games here in Australia since the 1990s (starting with Age of Empires on MSN gaming zone back in the day)

Ive noticed a big difference between Australian and Americans in online games

Most American online gamers seem like normal people, with jobs, families, etc; but most Australian online gamers seem to be all centerlink bludgers, unemployed, living with their parents.

You will never find "normal" Australians with their life together playing online games, its just full of degenerate NEETs.

Another thing is, every single Australian gamer just so happens to be a druggy or alcoholic.

Ive always wondered why this is the case, why all Australian online gamers are NEET, druggies, alcoholics, but American online gamers are relatively normie in comparison.

I played WoW for example with Americans and they were all married, with kids, had careers. Meanwhile playing WoW with Australians, its just all NEET incel druggies.

As a neet alcoholic gamer off welfare I can confirm this is true.

        because cenno

Yeah but why is it that no "normal functioning" Australians play online games, but tons of normal functioning Americans play online games?

The closest thing a normal functioning Australian who touches video games will do is maybe play FIFA on single player mode or against their friends in person (not online) together on the couch.

Why is it only the absolute lowest of low in Australian society that play online games? Yet plenty of normie Americans play online games.

It was such a mind boggling transition going from an American WoW raiding guild, to an Australian WoW raiding guild, it was like going from a professional upper class white collar office to going to a bush-pig blue collar building site full of bogan laborers.

Well its not no normal functioning people, a lot of the blokes I play counter strike with have wives and kids but there are also certainly a lot of people off centerlink doing booze and drugs gaming all day like you said. Maybe its the kinds of people games like WoW attract that you are encountering that many?

Australia glorifies surf and crocodile chads while America glorifies money and nice material objects. So an American in the private sector will take pride in his expensive desktop gaming pc.

Right, but why is it still not changed even today? Plenty of "Normies" in the US are online gamers. "Normies" in Australia are borderline Boomer tier when it comes to online gaming and don't touch it.

Usually about 10 years, but my case was a bit different.
My girlfriend and I actually saw it on a normal real estate site, then at the inspection they told us it was public housing but they'd put us in anyway if we wanted. We took it because it's impossible to find anything else and it was a brand new apartment that is (still) amazingly cheap for what it is. It was 10/10 until about 3 or so months later. Which is when all the burnout drug addicts started to move in. Shit has been fricked since then. One c**t got pushed off the 10th story balcony and folded in half. Then a couple of months later some c**t confronted some guys in the storage cages in the car park and had some guys pull guns on him. Only for one of those guys to later accidentally shoot himself in the stomach (kek) and get kicked out of the car by the other guys. I've seen some high as frick degenerates tweaking out in the hallway outside my apartment. People smash walls. There are very often massive junkie screaming fights and such. Makes me hate junkies immensely, gives me no sympathy for them at all.

that said you probably only see burnouts on wow because its wow

I've never played Squad but when I was curious about the game and watched a bunch of gameplay videos, there was a shitload of Aussies in the footage. That's the only game I really associate with them.

If you used to work in an office and now you don't, than that's legitimately how it feels because you don't have people up in your shit anymore or useless meetings with "action items". Yet I've gotten more salary bumps since 2020 than I ever did before, it's fricking clown world.
