Gen 1, biggest & best regional dex, most non-linear, most different versions (Green, Red, Blue, Japanese Blue, Yellow), most glitches to mess around with, best ROM hacks and nuzlockes
y'know I'd probably agree. gen 1 is such a goofy as frick game that you can play it a tonne of ways with a tonne of things. by technicalities there's almost infinite playtime with it just by dicking about with glitches and challenge runs
..but I would be lying if I didn't say gen 8. For challenge runs it's amazing, there's over 500 pokemon to frick about with, the raid dens are really fun, you can actually replay it without actually needing to delete your save data thanks to the multiple account system that exists.
..also, y'know, that works for BDSP, PLA and SV too? but like. PLA is a bit lengthy, and SV is just one of those things that wears off on the second playthrough.
>Biggest regional dex
Unova has 156 in its regional, beating out Gen 1's 151. >Best
Seems like a fairly equal dud:awesome ratio to me, but you're welcome to your opinion... >everything else
Correct.
nothing is worse than gen 7. gen 5 might take the title in the remakes because they'll do a cutscene with dumb animations and fades to black whenever npcs want to talk to you, but at least in gen 5 you can button mash text quicker and get through it
BW2 >start game >tutorial on catching pokemon >go through one gym, a route, a side map, a brand new town, a new gym >get a tutorial on movies for a couple minutes >no more tutorials for the rest of the game
You guys are full of shit with your parroted complaints. The very worst of the series in terms of never letting go off your hand, is USUM. It's the only Pokemon game I've ever dropped, and I dropped it right after getting to the second island.
Gen 7 is actually borderline unplayable cutscenes just make games worse
I went into USUM wanting to give it a try due to people claiming it fixed everything. But, like I said, I dropped the thing at the second island. Going through all those interruptions was mind-numbing, even more so when I knew that the second island was just as bad in stopping after every route and town.
Yeah I love replaying BW2 where I have to spend the first half of the game mindlessly mashing through tutorials and the second half of the game mindlessly mashing through piss easy trainer NPCs while constantly getting railroaded by roadblocks. So much fun bros! Did I mention it’s the peak of the series yet?
>I have to spend the first half of the game mindlessly mashing through tutorials and the second half of the game mindlessly mashing through piss easy trainer NPCs while constantly getting railroaded by roadblocks
I challenge you to find a mainline Pokemon game that isn't piss easy and mostly linear.

>forced explanation about medals >join avenue tutorial >hidden grotto tutorial >PWT tutorial >”th-there aren’t any more tutorials!”
yeah sure moron, at least in USUM outside the tutorials the gameplay is engaging because they actually tried making the game more challenging, BW2 doesn’t even have that going for it.
and before anyone mentions the join avenue tutorial, it's entirely optional
I played BW2 and I distinctly remember getting annoyed because I forced to stop and mash through moronic Join Avenue shit. The problem is I’m more familiar with BW2 than its apparent fans are.

apparently not because you don't know you can skip the tutorial
unless you're counting the cutscene before the owner leaves as a tutorial. but that would be moronic.
you're not moronic, are you?

I don’t understand how people can have fun replaying pokemon games unless it’s been like 10 years since they last played the game or something. The campaign is so unbelievably boring.
I had fun replaying them back when nuzlockes were new and before it was ruined by "pro" youtubers. After that I got into rom hacks, nowdays I just play rom hacks of the games, enhancement/difficulty/qol and such.

It’s not a real nuzlocke without a comic to go along with it.
I play and replay Pokémon games with someone else, these games are fun when you can have occasional battles against the team someone else is raising in their playthrough of the game.
the first 2-3 towns of the game are completely different, but it starts to feel pretty much the same when you reach castelia. After that it plays more like your standard "3rd version" when it comes to towns and gym leaders, although there are still new areas and towns sprinkled in here and there, plus a very different regional dex throughout the game. The story is also different but it's not that great

FUN? FUN FUN FUN FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUN ALLOWED
imagine a sun/moon mod that >removes all checkpoints on the map >removes all cutscenes and severely cuts down on text boxes to summarize the most important plot points during "those" parts of the games where you would mash A through the text >everyone stops treating you like you're a helmet wearing special needs kid that everyone has to be overly nice to because they feel sorry for you
I wish I could play the game for the first time again like this.
Everything after gen 4 is bogged down by unskippable tutorial crap and story cutscenes that makes huge chunks of replays into waiting around for nothing.
Despite being associated with the a younger demographic, Let's Go is actually one of the easiest recent games to jump into and replay since it's tutorial content is relatively short and there's little story to slow things down.
I tend to feel that Gens 1-4 replay the best. Gen 1 in particular is easy to just pick up and start playing through since it’s more straightforward than other games
All the games NOT made by gamefreak.

You have to be joking.
This is too true its also relatively short so its easy for a one session replay.

BW2 is great but its not replayable, it has the most dialogue out of any of the games

lol whoever said that was memeing hard, USUM fixed nothing. it added some features while making the story slightly worse
genuinely never understood why the cutscenes got criticized so much, gen 7 is the gen i replayed and finished the most tied with gen 1
The frick? Not even close
Here is a list of mainline Pokemon games with more forced dialogue than BW:
USUM
SM
emerald rogue

Calm down son, it's just a videogame.
unovagays dont care the game they only like muh characters like N skyla coomer etc..they call bw so ""mature "" because muh anime trailer
I'm pretty sure only unovaborts and johtoddlers obsessively replay their games as-is on a regular basis
they're good games

PLA
wow that was easy what do I win
What do I get out of White 2 that I wouldn’t just get better from XY or either of the other two games?

No it isn’t.
yes it is. after the old owner leaves you can walk right past the assistants and never return. thanks for confirming that you don't play the games.
>after the old owner leaves
He only leaves after a forced tutorial, moron.
thanks for confirming you don't play the games

oh no
you are moronic

Do you consider the gym battles tutorials too?
In BW2 they might as well be since they're so fricking piss easy on a level that makes SwSh blush

yea, nuzlockes went from a thing about creating more loving bonds with your pokemon to people being cringe about being "perfect" with it.
It’s not a real nuzlocke without a comic to go along with it.

BW and BW2 have a ton of replayability but for me it’s Emerald
emerald, FRLG to an extent. gen 3 just feels so damn good to replay
Bw2, hgss, gale of dank memes
SWSH and SV. Many wild Pokemon to have completely different teams every time.
I think the only gen I ever played more than once is 4, Platinum especially.
is b2w2 the same as bw1, like the emerald version? If I played every game besides b2w2 did I play every mainline game?
No, BW2 is a sequel, with a new story and expanded region.
It's like GSC lite.
thanks bros

That's it, those are the holy trifecta; the objective best. Don't need anything else.
Where did the Kevin James meme come from
Normie forced meme
FRLG because it's a pretty straightforward remake of an already straightforward game.
BW because you can skip dialogue and grind with Audinos up the ass, though the game slows down heavily after Burgh's Gym.
I think SWSH are also pretty replayable but i can't tell why, for the love of god, would anyone want to replay that dogshit.

i've replayed GSC the most
