Yeah, it's gonna be trash.
ALSO:
I think its best you all taper your expectations for Vol. 2 and it containing MGS4 kek... if they can't even be bothered to do keyboard + mouse controls for Vol. 1, you seriously think they'll put the work into porting MGS4? They aren't particularly doing much in the first place here as it is; just porting what was already a remaster to modern consoles and pc.
I played Phantom Pain with a keyboard and mouse and it was much more enjoyable experience than 4 of the MGS series on the PS1/PS2/PS3. Why are console gays such insecure losers who don't like how other people enjoy their games?
Yeah, it's gonna be trash.

[...] >why the frick would you want KBM controls on the platform where KBM is the main input method
Why are people like this so moronic? Only an absolute homosexual would use a keyboard and mouse to play anything that's not an RTS or shooter game.
You would think, but keyboard and mouse actually do work pretty well in more console games than you would expect. I played Dark Souls on a keyboard and mouse recently and was frankly flabbergasted by how well it works. I can see MGS2 and 3 working on a keyboard. The first game is a no-brainer since it has digital controls.
You realize the HD Collection ports were PS3/360 era, the Wii U was slightly stronger than both of them, and the Switch is slightly stronger than the Wii U by technicality? If this shit is 30 FPS and downgraded in any way (and judging by the trailers using footage, they're basically 1:1 the HD Collection so far), that's a bad port, not the Switch.
What was that thing about Konami updating the original collection to remove copywritten military footage? Or was it just outright removed from steam? Is it known whether or not it will be in the final product?
>what are the odds of this being a good port?
Not great, 1 will most likely be just a subpar emulator, 2 and 3 will most likely be based on the kinda fricked hd ports (see
[...]
). They will have to do something about the pressure sensitive controls, but that's probably all the effort they will put into the entire collection.
>pressure sensitive controls
Already sorted, thr hd collection was xbox too remember. They really aren't doing anything at all over than make mgs3 run on pc
0 because it's based on the remaster which was botched and missing content. It'd be cool if the FPS was uncapped and it had ultrawide support though, I guess.
Not every remaster fricks it up but yeah most of them do. Even ones that are good usually aren't 1:1. >Gamerstm are butthurt that Red Dead Redemption isn't a remaster but it's actually a blessing.
Yeah it'd be cool if it was just a port. I wasn't looking forward to it getting remastered like the rumors suggested.
>perfectly
everything Blue Point has done is garbage.
not a bit garbage, but pure garbage
and you just close your eyes and go la la I can't hear you >perfectly
you have no clue what you are even talking about.
Imagine if these were flipped. People would be seething about a "green filter" and saying it was soulless. Old good new bad crowd needs to dilate and take their meds already.
the more you look at it, the worse the HD Collection gets.
It's missing so many of the effects, and the way he just pops in looks terrible too, the transition from the stealth going off looks so much better on ps2.
The green filter I can do without, I actually think in terms of color tone the hd collection looks better but all the fricking effects are just gone.
>dude le kbm bad even though MGSV mkb was by far the best way to play the game
the first person aiming is fricking aids with a controller. i wanted to kms doing the sniper part on mgs2.
KBM was only good for shooting in MGSV but by all rights these games are not shooters. You want that analog movement for sneaking.
MGSV's kbm support was also pretty bad, I remember making an AHK setup just for that game.

I need a fix to the atrocious mouse movement while on the iDroid map and it's perfect for me.
I hope it's good. I still turn to my PS1, PS2 and PS3 when I wanna replay these games. I'm not holding my breath on seeing MGS4 in any subsequent volume.
I really hope they fix the graphical issues there were in the HD remasters. I can't imagine there's really any way that they can mess up emulation of the first game.
1/10
I think it will be just more convenient than booting an emulator and that's it. Chances are you won't be able to frick around with settings for better performance or anything.
>I think it will be just more convenient than booting an emulator
Nothing is more convenient than booting up PCSX2 dude. >takes like 0 seconds >press f1 to load a save state
it's game time
There's practically no fricking way that they're going to also port MGO, but god damn that would be so cool. I doubt we're even getting skateboarding in MGS2.
At this point if it runs like shit after having the 3ds snake eater ported to the 3ds I'll actually be pissed. I want this collection and RDR on my switch because the portability alone is what selling it for me.
>no kbm controls on PC
odds are extremely bad
It'll be alright. Nothing special, just a straight port which works.
Why the frick would you want that
>Why the frick would you want that
It's bare minimum they can do, it's a sign the ports will be lazy
>Why the frick would you want that
Why the frick would you want to aim and shoot with a controller?
Because MGS's controls are fricking horrible and would be 10x better if designed for a KB+M?
Yeah, it's gonna be trash.

No one fricking plays MGS with fricking keyboard and mouse.

>PC vegans are so mindbroken that they want to use office equipment on a game literally designed for controller
lel seek help anon
I don't care that much, the first three don't really need it. MGS5 was extremely good with KB+M so I'm hoping 4 has good support
Why are people like this so moronic? Only an absolute homosexual would use a keyboard and mouse to play anything that's not an RTS or shooter game.
Controllers are console kiddies shit.

It's going to look worse than the originals because they need it to reach 30 FPS on the Switch
>Jewtindo holding back the industry since the 90s
when will this piece of shit of scammy israeli company go bankrupt already?
When Pony admits defeat.
>when will this piece of shit of scammy israeli company go bankrupt already?
It's a port from the PS3/360 era you moronic snoy
2 and 3 were already ported to shield
You realize the HD Collection ports were PS3/360 era, the Wii U was slightly stronger than both of them, and the Switch is slightly stronger than the Wii U by technicality? It's the switch, bro. Literally underpowered.
The most demanding game there is a PS2 game you mouthbreathing moron
Both of those games ran at 30 fps on the Vita
It's going to be one of the most low effort ports ever made. Right along Read Dead Redemption 1 for Nintendo Switch.
Who the frick plays mgs with subtitles lmao
I always play MGS with subs, it kinda fits with Kojimas attitude, he's always putting words on the screen
They're on by default and can't be disabled, which you'd know if you'd actually played any single MGS game.
found the zoomer
>Who the frick plays mgs with subtitles lmao
...there's a way to NOT play with them?
And why would you ever disable / not use subtitles??
I end up reading the subtitles instead of looking at the scene
shill tries to deflect from the fully broken Blue Shit port
>hurr why subtitles
>hurr why don't you skip cutscenes
Virtually every ported PS2 game has issues like these. Even emulation above native res has the same issues as HD ports.
>even emulation
>even
you will download 95% of the game and you will pay $50 bucks for it
as a matter of fact I won't. But the vaccine npcs will.
What was that thing about Konami updating the original collection to remove copywritten military footage? Or was it just outright removed from steam? Is it known whether or not it will be in the final product?
they wont have all the content, hard pass.
I'm pretty sure they will include VR Missions, Substance and Subsistence
That's not what he means.
What did he mean then? The only things I can think of that likely won't be there are Ape Escape and Tony Hawk.
>what are the odds of this being a good port?

I won't be surprised if the 2 and 3 ports don't even have graphic settings
the mgs1 "port" is just a fancy ps1 emulator. also you can't turn bilinear filtering off.
t. knower
There are more chances of finding intelligent life outside Earth in the next 5 years than Konami shitting out a good release in $CURRENT_YEAR
0 because it's based on the remaster which was botched and missing content. It'd be cool if the FPS was uncapped and it had ultrawide support though, I guess.
damn this webm makes me seethe.
I just want to play perfect ports of the greatest trilogy ever made, is that too much to ask for?
It cracks me up how every remaster needs to have a least a couple frickups. It is literally impossible to take a game from HERE and put it THERE.
Like, why is it so hard lmao?
Gamerstm are butthurt that Red Dead Redemption isn't a remaster but it's actually a blessing.
Not every remaster fricks it up but yeah most of them do. Even ones that are good usually aren't 1:1.

If its so easy to perfectly port the game where your port homosexual? Whats that? You havent ported any games? How quaint yet utterly pathetic.

everything Blue Point has done is garbage.
not a bit garbage, but pure garbage
and you just close your eyes and go la la I can't hear you

What that? Oh.... I thought youd post all the 10/10 perfect ports youve done seeing its so easy.
Lets see your ports homosexual
Imagine if these were flipped. People would be seething about a "green filter" and saying it was soulless. Old good new bad crowd needs to dilate and take their meds already.
You are a mindless contrarian.
The top is unironically better
soulless
the more you look at it, the worse the HD Collection gets.

I need a fix to the atrocious mouse movement while on the iDroid map and it's perfect for me.
They've already shown they've at least fixed the "long Codec loading" bug from MGS2's PS3 version
I hope it's good. I still turn to my PS1, PS2 and PS3 when I wanna replay these games. I'm not holding my breath on seeing MGS4 in any subsequent volume.

disgusting
please don't have denuvo
Was it true the physical carts weren't the actual game themselves?
Doesn't that defeat the entire point?
I'd still buy it for MG 2 & MG 3 on the go here's hoping 3 has it's multiplayer left intact!
There's practically no fricking way that they're going to also port MGO, but god damn that would be so cool. I doubt we're even getting skateboarding in MGS2.
She's cute who is that
Everything says it will be Dark Souls PTDE tier port, just a compiled build for the PC platform with 0 effort.
At this point if it runs like shit after having the 3ds snake eater ported to the 3ds I'll actually be pissed. I want this collection and RDR on my switch because the portability alone is what selling it for me.
This, I don't own a Vita and am eager to have MGS2 and 3 available on a handheld.
Think it'll include the option for JP voiceover?
Steam says so. But whether or not we'll be able to use English subtitles for the japanese audio is yet unknown.
You can easily emulate all these games on a computer so I doubt they'll frick it up.
I'll be getting it but my question is, if this does well.... it means they'll do the same with silent hill 1-3 right?
They better. I don't know what's taking them so long.
It's basically just the HD Collection again, but with MGS1 instead of Peace Walker.
