Yeah, it was basically just saying "Frick U" to people who liked monster hunter. FU was the monster hunter world of its time, abandoning the hunting sim aspect for the portable era that "streamlined" it.

I'd say 4 was the "World" of it's time. Portable 3rd is pretty close too but had more old than new in comparison.
I'd say it was Tri. it had the best online capabilities of any console/portable MH but the event rotation quests were cancer.
