I remember watching Conan in the late 90's as a young boy.
Now I'm over 30 and this shit is STILL going.
Apparently not even a year has passed in the Conan universe.
lmao as if Gosho has a say in this. The publishers gonna force the authors to keep their manga going forever, the only exception to this is Togashi but he's too fricking lazy to finish his manga anyway.
It's just so weird when a newer episode shows the backstory of a character whom I've known since the early 2000s involves them using a smartphone for something. I can ignore everything else but that specific thing did not compute in my mind. I think it was something about a smartphone and Akai Shuichi's brother in particular.
That's depressing. If you were a Simpsons writer, you might want to keep it set in the 90s and just avoid modern technology, but they're probably so desperate for storylines that they need to talk about modern stuff too. Then there's the celebrity guests, which can't just all be celebrities from the 90s.
I just recently watched seasons 2-8 and the movie, and boy am I happy to pretend that they ended there.
The struggle is that the Simpsons were once THE poster child for the imperfect American family, people resonated with that really well because the Simpsons were really a product of their times. Since they no longer have that image I suppose they're deciding to try and get it back, but it's such a "hallow shell of your former self" move that its hard not to say they should throw in the towel, but because Fox still prints money with it who wants to kill the golden goose?
>that time anon went to Japan found a perfect waifu and then accidentally told her to kill herself >she actually did it
What are some other kino Conan cases?
The series peaked at mountain Villa murder >Faked being fat to avoid suspicion >spooky as hell costume >Savage fricking murder, dude carries a fricking head under his shirt >Goes after Rachel, frick you I started with the dub, because she accidentally saw that he was faking being fat >When Conan solves the murder, the murderer threaten to kill himself, and Conan actually tells him to fricking do it.
The old art style for DC was filled with so much soul.
Holy shit, I have my homebrewed 3ds just sitting at home collecting dust. This is perfect, thank you so much anon! I didnt even know it was translated!
German dubs got good again. I tried some random animes on Netflix in German and they're pretty good. I looked up the dub info for some of them and I found that what they had in common was that some dude called Renee Dawn Claude was the director. I looked up some interview with him and apparently he was an anime viewer who was so upset with the state of German anime dubs that he had to become a dubbing director and do something about it.
>got good again
I highly doubt that, so I'll continue to go with the safe bet of watching everything the way they were meant to be, in their original language.
Conan was good when it had main plot progression but it just...doesn't, anymore. I don't think anything has happened since Ai.
I remember plowing through a lot of chapters thinking it might have an upswing but it just gets worse and worse. The phantom thief stuff is just dogshit as well and it began to take up more and more of the manga I think that's when I stopped.
It's at the point where you can't even get good scans because nobody wants to translate it. Nobody cares anymore
I knew maybe a couple of dozen chapters in that this is a status quo manga that will never resolve the plot until the very end when it bullrushes everything, like a worse Naruto
Conan is aggressively bad at this though, it doesn't even try to stray from the procedural format. Not even the illusion of progress is given. It's probably the worst case of stagnation in media that I've seen. On par with George rrmartin not writing a book for over a decade
need conan bussy

>Now I'm over 30 and this shit is STILL going.
The art style went to shit though (like with most anime)
Over 1000 chapters by now. iirc it was planned to run around 5 or so years but with the imense success it had Gosho just let the gracy train run.
lmao as if Gosho has a say in this. The publishers gonna force the authors to keep their manga going forever, the only exception to this is Togashi but he's too fricking lazy to finish his manga anyway.
They went from using 90s technology to using smartphones and that boi still smol

Its like how they're retconning the Simpsons to say Homer was a child of the 90s

kino german dub
Back when the dubs had effort put into them, 20+ fricking years ago
