The graphics are really meh, it looks like a PS2 game but in HD, but that's not the full issue, it has performance issues and load times are longer than the PSX version, there's no excuse for this sort of shit, and this is standard for third party games on Switch.

They made an honest effort to extend an olive branch to third parties this generation, but most of them chose to be spoiled brats/lazy c**ts for the past half decade and leave obscene amounts of money on the table (by either ignoring it, or shooting themselves in the foot with almost deliberate incompetence in nearly every attempt they did make at working with the Switch). Third parties treating the Switch like shit doesn't do anything to Nintendo, it's just them cutting their own noses off to spite their faces.

They've been making ONE fricking video game for the past 5 years. Everything else first-party is a port and/or crowdsourced from a partner dev.
Anon, Nintendo have never been prolific with major first party releases within the same franchise. Each console generally only gets one 3D Mario, and one Zelda built from the ground up for it (not crossgen like TP/BOTW). Especially after GC/Wii era, their pace has slowed down dramatically because HD development just takes longer. Monolith Soft are the only studio with the ability to pump out large scale games with incredible efficiency, but they cater to a very niche audience so if anything it only breeds resentment with the average Nitnendo console owner. It's funny, because they do so while helping Zelda team make BOTW games.
To be fair they've also been focusing on the Mario movie/theme park, that has to take a lot of focus away from actually making games

Still baffled at how they managed to get Nier Automata to run on the Switch. Though I thought about, it seemed to be something impossible. Always figured the Switch would just literally explode trying to boot it up. Mario + Rabbids 2 launching in October is good to see. That's one more mystery crossed off on Nintendo's lineup of big releases for the year.
