Models are still the same in SWSH which was the problem as they originally said they cut the natdex to make improvements. If SWSH had these models no one would have complained.

Everything they've shown so far looks to be new models, but keep in mind things like eye depth can be faked with Normal Maps as well. Which the new Nrm and Specular maps have been shown off in the trailers too. Not everything is geometry.
Though I very seriously doubt GF would ever go this extreme because they are so lazy and don't know what the frick they are doing.

Most of the sprites present were new poses as well, even without the animation, which is arguably a step up.
They're pretty much exclusive to Hoenn mons which some people think is because they planned Gen 3 remakes. How much work it takes to create and pose them is not really clear.

There were still plenty of box fillers in that game, and the whole point of it was to catch a ton of the same Pokemon. Even just a couple more Ghost Pokemon would have been appreciated, because nightfall just means invasion of the Drifloom.
