Yes and the ghost Joit (Ifarnal in the flashback I think) is one involved in that flashback and after he kills Tidus by throwing the bomb at him in the forest, there is the keep him strongly in your thoughts thing, where he's implied to use the same sex-Fayth method they used during the flashback era, because that makes literary sense. It's not just that they somehow manifested Tidus' Fayth from Yuna's concentrated thoughts in a totally new way. The sex is implied in the odd dreamlike fade-to-black.
And yes this is separate from the Tidus/Yuna fade-to-black sex scene way earlier in the book, but yes that's there too.

Also that would have killed him and he would have had to have been alive. So there's no real way. A bit near the end of the novel is also Yuna straight up wondering how Tidus is even back and questions if she actually beckoned him or something else happened. This can tie back to the whole repressed memories of his death thing but it's implied that since she's talking about the method and questioning it that it's not just a blindspot or something.

The point of thinking about Tidus was so that Tidus would become the core rather than Joit by transferring the focus. Yuna then proceeds to pray at Tidus' Fayth every day as shown by -Will- and Tidus must never find out he died or he'll disappear,so Yuna distances herself from him. It fits quite well.

Yuna just passes out as his head rolls towards her and then she has a series of confusing dreams where she talks to ghosts claiming to be "gods" and shit.

My understanding, because the summary people probably missed it due to it not being said explicitly and it being woven with poetic obfuscation, is that on the 1000-year insane unsent ghost Joit (Ifarnal) sees Tidus and Yua on the dream island, kills Tidus, so Yuna and him can resurrect him with the sex-Fath method, so that Tidus becomes a Fayth, who can then will them to the real Spira, so they can find the other unsent Briar (Kush?) there, so the two unsents can pass onto the Farplane. Tidus and Yuna are sort of collateral damage during this insane plan.
