As someone who actually likes 12 you are wrong as frick and the combat is easily the weakest part of it.
For 70% of the game you just have gambits doing everything because you never need to do more than >If Enemy 100% = Steal >Closest Enemy = Attack >If MP > 50% = Spell current Enemies are weak to >If Ally HP <50% = Cure
There are almost no job abilities worth a damn for the first half of the game and only bosses and super bosses are worth buffing up for.

This is really my ultimate problem for FFXII. The character customization is good but not for a long time and most skills are actually pretty trash for a huge chunk of the game. The really great bosses like the fights with the Zodiacs are awesome, but most battles and indeed most story bosses suck.
I wouldn't mind the outfit if he changed out of if when you left Rabanastre and that was just his casual clothes since it makes sense for a desert street rat. But having his goofy ass alladin getup while you're in the thick of it storming the death star just makes me want to bench him.
Yeah it's simple but characters do interacts with each other a lot more than in 12. Past the midgame they don't interact anymore that much in the original.
I didn't play the original on PS2 in 2006, were the old license boards more or less overpowered than the new classes and dual-classing in the Zodiac Age rerelease?
Id say IZJS and TZA are easier because your characters are stronger at what they do but what they do is more specialized
Havent done the math but it feels like you get more "relevant" boosts in TZA if you stack compatible jobs vs the original full board
IZJS falls inbetween but there isnt too much difference in difficulty between all 3 imo
That it's okay when Japan does it.
that final fantasy is gay
in a good way
it is pretty fricking gay.
like
very gay
Are these actual outfits in Crisis Core?
No, they're not.
That OP is fricking OLD.
To tell JRPG MCs to put some clothes on. FFTA2 did this, and it worked. Vaan became significantly more likeable.
That Final Fantasy is better now
Good We need more MC's with Beards in JRPG
Beards improve any character design
This is why I don't like modern JRPGs with their western pandering designs.
No we don't gay go back to your WRPGs and troony self insert maker games.
mad you can't grow a proper bear or a you a fujo woman?
> What can we learn from this?
don't make a main character who is irrelevant to the plot
>cherrypicking with Timeskip Noctis
0/10. He's only in the game for an hour
Wasn't the game originally designed all around Basche and they decided to add Alladin at the last minute?
Apparently, they were scared he'd be too old for the FF audience.
Good design need more to make buff men loving westoids seethe. If they make main shota it's even better.
Most of Ganker still gets filtered by FFXII which just shows they have awful taste
Matsunoshit is pretentious trash.
They don't want to kill Jesus, Ramza is trying to kill Lucifer who pretended to be Jesus once.
Don't feed the trolls.
St. Ajora is clearly inspired by Jesus.
St. Ajora curses a well like Jesus curses a fig tree.
St. Ajora was actually Satan in disguise, not Jesus.
imagine going through all the effort of making this while being completely unaware of the main themes behind literally every ivalice game
embarrassing
It's unironically the only playable Final Fantasy game. They really got it right with the battle system.

To be honest i prefer gambits as npc ai config it piss me off how dumb are current ais that you cant config
also ff7 swapping and aggro management sucks i was burned out at data bahamut bossfight
>Setting cure gambits at 50%
>That offensive magic gambit
Even a child can make better gambits than that.

He got a better costume later.

That Final Fantasy only has one good game in their mainline catalog
Penelo butt
Japanese Gay Arian Aladdin doesnt sell the game and makes it good
revenant wings is fricking good, I can't believe no one played it
Based, I love 12 but RW addressed many of its weak points, starting by having an actual plot from start to finish.
Winged Golbez is doing bad things go stop him and recruit friends

what is this?
A real time tactics game for the DS, it's great.
Tactical RPG, sequel to 12, released on the DS.
I'm Captain Basch!

Difficulty is exactly the same but differently from the original you don't tend to have 5 copies of the same build + 1 healer.
that a shirt can improve a design massively
Is that Captain Basch von Ronsenberg of Dalmasca?
>What can we learn from this?
Dont listen to Ondore's Lies
