Yeah, pretty much. I can't quite believe after all these years we've still never had ANY kind of crossover material. The franchises do work under very different rules but surely SOMETHING could be done with the two biggest names in the monster battling/raising/collecting genre. I'm not even that big a fan of Digimon, I just want to see what a collab would look like.
Aside from that... hm. Maybe something like a Dynasty Warriors mashup? It worked for Zelda, Hyrule Warriors was pretty fun. Maybe some pokemon villagers in Animal Crossing for something more mellow?
The entire Digimon-Pokemon "rivalry" was invented in the west mostly due to "they both end in mon lol". It makes sense there's no real interest in such a crossover in Japan where such decisions are made.
A Pokemon V-Pet would be enough. They even did a Tamagotchi for Eevee but no Digimon.
Actually they did a Tamagotchi for Eva too despite Digimon making way more sense.
As someone who's been on board since Pokemania it's wild to me there's never even been a hint of an official crossover. Must be that nip pride.

I want to see Sanrio themed sync pairs in Pokemon Masters EX because Sanrio collabs with everything and it would be weird of they never did, but so far DeNA seems to not be interested/have a need for collabs.

I hate burger localization so much, they're fully to blame for morons not understanding that this was a big crossover game between two franchises and not just some random Pokemon spinoff game.
