What's the point of non 50/50 gender ratios? I realize it's supposed to make breeding more "challenging" but there's nothing challenging about genders, it's just more RNG bullshit to deal with if you happen to need a specific gender.

For starters specifically it was to add an extra hoop to jump through to discourage people from just all breeding their starters and trading the offspring among their friends and all play through the game with all three starters.
