There is really no way of knowing who would win because they came from such a different time and vader spent most of his time stomping force users who were amateurs compared to the old republic but saying Revan wasn't a duelist is moronic as he dueled and killed one of the greatest warriors of his time.
He was the MC for one game so every time a work jerks him off, nerds identify with it and take it to heart. >Hmm, yes I do feel like my fantasy OC should be able to win against everyone
In truth, Revan is a dogshit character in KOTOR1 and was only made halfway interesting in KOTOR2 as a mysterious wunderkind

I like to see the reasons why Jedi switch sides then I find it interesting that the player can either make him good or evil even though Revan becoming good again is canon I think

>I like to see the reasons why Jedi switch sides
That isn't actually in KOTOR1, the loss of faith in Jedi-ism is explored at length in KOTOR2 though.
>the player can either make him good or evil
The characterization of what "good and evil" is in KOTOR1 is extremely shallow and frankly idiotic: you either kick puppies for fun or follow the orders of the religious conservatives.
playing on jedi master was the only way to extract fun from this game. I legitimately feel bad for low iq morons who deprived themselves of one of the best star wars games of the decade by playing on any other difficulty.
You might be on to something. I played on the Jedi Master difficulty and really enjoyed getting stronger and better at the combat as I went along. Now I wish I had done it on the Grand Master level.
Exactly, and her inclusion to this game automatically makes the game a 0/10, and completely ruins Star Wars. People need to stop pretending this shit is good.
Not true. SW as a franchise has been on downward trend since George Lucas made the prequel trilogy, which was complete and utter non-nonsensical and non-canonical horseshit.
Exactly, and her inclusion to this game automatically makes the game a 0/10, and completely ruins Star Wars. People need to stop pretending this shit is good.
This is why I held back from playing the game originally as well and only got around to giving it a shot because I got it for free on Origin, but I have to admit the story and gameplay make up for her hideous face.
it's the best piece of star wars media since the disney enslavement, and it's a decent enough sekiro clone
7/10, maybe 8 if you mod it so you don't have to look at the gingers face
Shitty meaningless exploration. Lightsabre that doesn't feel like a lightsabre and more of a fricking baton. I'd take Jedi Outcast or Academy over this schlock.
let's face it the 2 cool things about playing an action game with lightabers are: >melee combat >force powers
How can a SW game suck so bad at these two things?
How is it that it has been YEARS since jedi knight and the force unleashed, and not a single SW game has been able to update those mechanics to what is possible in modern hardware? Where is the "but can it run crysis?" version of SW jedi knight? Where are the environments that get slashed into pieces by lightsabers? where is the force push power that allows you to throw 54 stormtroopers through a wooded door with splinters flying everywhere?
Fallen Order is just a tomb raider remake with a shiny club as a primary weapon.
>where is the force push power that allows you to throw 54 stormtroopers
go play force unleashed homosexual, people like you are the reason star wars turned to shit
I liked it but I had to crank the diff down at a certain point bc the boss battles were too soulsy for me and I suck at those games. I think it really got the ambiance and setting/music right. It really felt like SW universe just like KotoR.
Psst anon the game comes with a second executable that completely flies under the radar of any client and can be played DRM-free. No, they won't tell you about this. But it's there.
It will, at least on Steam. Find the install folder and launch the smaller of the two exes.
Be aware though that when I say it flies under their radar, I mean it. Your playtime, achievements and shit won't be tracked at all. In case you care about such things.
>Your playtime, achievements and shit won't be tracked at all. In case you care about such things
if you beat the game in less than 2 weeks would refunding still work?
i really dig the revan mod but cal's height and demeanor just take me out of it, god i'd kill for kotor's combat to be like fallen order and keep everything the same
Currently playing it for the first time and I'm really liking it. I'll be looking forward to the sequel provided they don't do something astonishingly dumb.
I thought it was okay. It has two major flaws, tho.
1. It feels rushed. The final 1/4 of tje game features weak puzzles and hallway dungeons
2.Nonsense story. The story ends in that you'd have achieved the same by not doing anything. Also, I don't like that vader jobs. Would have preferred a noble sacrifice instead.
Yup. That's jobbing to some folks. Despite Vader being accurately portrayed as an unstoppable monster, which he was the entire game, that split second of him kneeling was apparently too much.
Psst anon the game comes with a second executable that completely flies under the radar of any client and can be played DRM-free. No, they won't tell you about this. But it's there.
It's fairly decent but all this shit for me is like "What's the point"
We know they'll never succeed in doing anything or rebuilding the order because it's all slave to the timeline.
God why don't they just set things past the sequel trilogy and just ignore all this shit.
It's a giant billion year old galaxy where the technology largely remains the same over a thousand years or so. Go forward a couple centuries, it's not like it matters. Just don't be tied to any of the OT and ST and PT shit. I'm tired of it all, I know how it all ends.
Even this High Republic shit is so lukewarm. 200 years because they were too afraid to go TOO far away from the norm. Nobody gave a shit about KOTOR being super far in the past, nobody will give a shit about new stuff being super far in the future.
The problem is that Disney took 40 years of material and just threw it in the trash because it doesn't fit their family friendly and inclusive vision of Star Wars. They bought it to murder it and prostitute out the corpse, which is what they've been doing. They will never make anything interesting. Any time there's the opportunity to do so they'll just frick it like with the new Kenobi show. Nobody working on anything Star Wars actually gives a frick about Star Wars which is why anything new will be dogshit.
I've never play a more mediocre, bland, and disinteresting game as this. Star Wars I general sense just puts a bad taste in my mouth. It was cool back in the day, but not no more.
>oh hey this is pretty cool, a story star wars game >that was a really cool intro >"in order to save the game you have to use campfires" >"if you die you lose any progress" >mfw
uninstalled and thanking god that im on a PC
from the very little i played if you died you had to go back to the enemy that killed you, hit them, and you regain all your xp
but you'd have to go back through your skills and reupgrade any that you loss, it just shouted game padding to me
>but you'd have to go back through your skills and reupgrade any that you loss
You never lose upgrades nor anything that you have already unlocked, not even unspent skill points. Worst case scenario is that you lose nearly one skill point's worth of experience right before you fill the bar.
Eh, checkpoint systems are nothing new in action/adventure games. For example Soul Reaver had it too. But yeah, it's basically like that. You respawn at your last checkpoint, and if you die your 'exp' gets stolen by the enemy that killed you. If you damage it you get it back, if you die to something else it's gone forever. On the other hand if you die to platforming you just have to return to the section where you died.
I surprisingly enjoyed it. I thought it would suck like most of all the other shit disney has created that has star wars attached to it, but I actually recommend it.
I think I'm just starved for good new star wars shit, The Boba fett show sucked, The Mando show was ok, The obi wan show sucked ass besides like 2 minutes out of all the episodes, and the movies sucked.
Could have been cool, but instead you play a character nobody's heard of supported by a cast of nobodies. Why not just make it an rpg with character creation? Or use any number of fan favorite characters
>you play a character nobody's heard of supported by a cast of nobodies
this is the best part of the game, im glad we only saw vader once and the game focuses on it's own characters
Imagine a next gen Jedi Academy sequel using unreal engine 5. Instead we got this dogshit souls combat and lightsabers made of pool noodles, frick (YOU).
It was fun and I liked it. The end kind of put me off but I ended up liking it a lot more on a replay >Trust ONLY in the force
Plus the power progression feels really good
I'm playing Grand Master and I can't imagine lowering the difficulty, though it does turn some enemies into bullet sponges. But you can adjust difficulty on the fly anyway so just experiment with it.
lmao Revan would have destroyed Vader
lmao no he wouldn't revan gets clapped by vader
>Vader good at anything
>gets his hand chopped off by his poorly trained and deficient excuse of a son who larps as a Jedi
Nah. Darth Vader is an overrated character who is only made ""powerful"" by Extended Universe content (i.e novels, comic-books and video-games).
b-but george said he's the strongest
no
Revan was a tactician and speaker. Vader was a duelist and an executioner.
force lightning the asthmatic c**t
b***h please, Revan knew kung-fu. Would have high kicked Vader, leaving him choking.
Combat-wise, I can't see Vader beating Revan either. Old Republic/Ancient Sith power levels are whack.
There is really no way of knowing who would win because they came from such a different time and vader spent most of his time stomping force users who were amateurs compared to the old republic but saying Revan wasn't a duelist is moronic as he dueled and killed one of the greatest warriors of his time.
true
would he though? why does everyone think revan is so powerful, i dont get it
because he was cool
he was frickin cewl
he's pretty cool
cuz he's cooler than vader
he's just cool, you don't get it
he just is
He was the MC for one game so every time a work jerks him off, nerds identify with it and take it to heart.
>Hmm, yes I do feel like my fantasy OC should be able to win against everyone
In truth, Revan is a dogshit character in KOTOR1 and was only made halfway interesting in KOTOR2 as a mysterious wunderkind
you know you like you revan anon
What did you like about Revan in KOTOR1? Not counting the sweet outfit, that's the free bingo space
cause he's cool
Why is he cool
cause he's revan
see
I like to see the reasons why Jedi switch sides then I find it interesting that the player can either make him good or evil even though Revan becoming good again is canon I think
>I like to see the reasons why Jedi switch sides

better than forced unleashed
because he's revan homosexual
I have infinite FP for my lightning
Star Wars fricking sucks.
It was ok, but it's yet another game where lightsabers are clubs that you bonk people with, and the ot era is boring and done to death.
I enjoyed it. It's a sekiro clone. Play it on hardest difficulty setting or it plays like this guy described
playing on jedi master was the only way to extract fun from this game. I legitimately feel bad for low iq morons who deprived themselves of one of the best star wars games of the decade by playing on any other difficulty.
Jokes on you I played it on easy because a Jedi is strong as frick.
>Cal is the most powerful force user in all of existence
interesting way to role play but to each their own.
You might be on to something. I played on the Jedi Master difficulty and really enjoyed getting stronger and better at the combat as I went along. Now I wish I had done it on the Grand Master level.
it doesn't change your criticism but there are decent mods that negate the bonk feel
unironically best done vader in a long long while
Up until *that* part
Which part?
AIIIEEEEEEEEEE HELP ME SHEEV-SAMA
THIS NIGRESS JUST PUT HER HANDS SHE'S NOW INVINCIBLE I CAN'T DO ANYTHING AAAAAAA
>every star wars disney product continues to emasculate and pacify one of cultures most well known villains
It's decent. I'm just tired of the series adding know it all magical black people.
8/10 I liked it
My Origin tells me I finished it but I can't even remember playing it, so yeah.
The nigress is so fricking ugly. Might be one of the ugliest gorillas I have ever seen. She must be cheap to hire since she looks horrendous.
Exactly, and her inclusion to this game automatically makes the game a 0/10, and completely ruins Star Wars. People need to stop pretending this shit is good.
Disney is what ruined Star Wars.
Not true. SW as a franchise has been on downward trend since George Lucas made the prequel trilogy, which was complete and utter non-nonsensical and non-canonical horseshit.
The PT was the golden years of star wars video games
true but mainly because it was also the golden age of video games in general
can't be worse than the obi wan nigress
Look in the mirror.
This is why I held back from playing the game originally as well and only got around to giving it a shot because I got it for free on Origin, but I have to admit the story and gameplay make up for her hideous face.
The force powers are not very much fun.
This is unfortunate reality of most light-side force powers in any SW video games.
Dark side has all the fun stuff.
false, Force Unleashed, Jedi Academy and Jedi Outcast have awesome powers all around.
See
Only good SW games are KOTOR1/2 and Force Unleashed just to go OTT with the force.
it's the best piece of star wars media since the disney enslavement, and it's a decent enough sekiro clone
7/10, maybe 8 if you mod it so you don't have to look at the gingers face
Good assessment. Also agree with the last part I don't know what is up with recent gaming and why they feel the need to make characters so ugly.
if you played all the other jedi games then this is all you got
whats the wolfenstein girl doing in star wars?
unfortunately not enough, don't even understand the point of her character at all, I was hoping for Ventress and got this instead
haven't played it
i just finished squadrons yesterday and was shit
i'll play some other shit before playing fallen order
more vaderwank
It was fun.
Shitty meaningless exploration. Lightsabre that doesn't feel like a lightsabre and more of a fricking baton. I'd take Jedi Outcast or Academy over this schlock.

A star wars immersive Sim would be pretty cool
>where is the force push power that allows you to throw 54 stormtroopers
go play force unleashed homosexual, people like you are the reason star wars turned to shit

Uninstalled and refunded when it demanded I make an Origin account just to play it.
Which is a shame since I actually liked the look of it.
Psst anon the game comes with a second executable that completely flies under the radar of any client and can be played DRM-free. No, they won't tell you about this. But it's there.
ok i'll play ball, if it doesnt work in pissing on your grave
It will, at least on Steam. Find the install folder and launch the smaller of the two exes.
Be aware though that when I say it flies under their radar, I mean it. Your playtime, achievements and shit won't be tracked at all. In case you care about such things.
nah dont care about that shit
>Your playtime, achievements and shit won't be tracked at all. In case you care about such things
if you beat the game in less than 2 weeks would refunding still work?
I have no idea. But simply copying everything over to a different folder would probably also work, so I don't see why not. Haven't tried it though.
alright homosexual
you were telling the truth
Why does literally every character in this game look like a fricking mongo?
i really dig the revan mod but cal's height and demeanor just take me out of it, god i'd kill for kotor's combat to be like fallen order and keep everything the same
>i'd kill for kotor's combat to be like fallen order
why? its the most boring combat of any star wars game ever
i like fromsoft shit and as far as clones go it's probably the best one, also koto's combat was bad even for it's time
Currently playing it for the first time and I'm really liking it. I'll be looking forward to the sequel provided they don't do something astonishingly dumb.
I thought it was okay. It has two major flaws, tho.

2.Nonsense story. The story ends in that you'd have achieved the same by not doing anything. Also, I don't like that vader jobs. Would have preferred a noble sacrifice instead.
>vader jobs
how?
People don't like that the black woman tapped into her connection with the dark side to force Vader to kneel for about five seconds.
you mean they are mad that vader kneeled and was mildly amused at a jedi master using the dark side before effortlessly overpowering her best attempt?
Yup. That's jobbing to some folks. Despite Vader being accurately portrayed as an unstoppable monster, which he was the entire game, that split second of him kneeling was apparently too much.
They really hate black people anon
I'm interested in it, but how does it differ from Jedi Academy? Does it get lightsabers right? Can I decapitate stormtroopers?
only with the dismember mod, a well done mod but its a mod, requires a drag and drop
You can't cut humans. Must be some weird ass Disney mandate because you can dismember and cut in half creatures and droids.
Disney doesn't let lightsabers cut anymore because it's not family friendly and Asian cultures don't like decapitation.
I wanted to try it but origin is cancer
See
Merrin is cute
Fun game, will probably get the sequel on day one.
It's fairly decent but all this shit for me is like "What's the point"
We know they'll never succeed in doing anything or rebuilding the order because it's all slave to the timeline.
God why don't they just set things past the sequel trilogy and just ignore all this shit.
because the sequel trilogy gave nothing anyone can work with, the universe is dead
It's a giant billion year old galaxy where the technology largely remains the same over a thousand years or so. Go forward a couple centuries, it's not like it matters. Just don't be tied to any of the OT and ST and PT shit. I'm tired of it all, I know how it all ends.

>nobody will give a shit about new stuff being super far in the future.
disney wont allow it
Disney's biggest success in the recent times was telling a story that was largely unconnected to any of the shit going on.
People care more about Pedro Pascal and his old baby man son than anything else period.
The problem is that Disney took 40 years of material and just threw it in the trash because it doesn't fit their family friendly and inclusive vision of Star Wars. They bought it to murder it and prostitute out the corpse, which is what they've been doing. They will never make anything interesting. that's why i was surprised i enjoyed fallen order as much as i did
why was spartacus in the game?
what did he even do?
>plz join me cal, because..... uh
>JOIN ME
Best Soulslike until Elden Ring.
I don't play video games.
any mods out there to swap out the negress to something more attractive
Look for Cere stuff on nexus
there's just one and it puts a helmet on her
good enough
>revan
>purple lightsaber
Black person
????
I've never play a more mediocre, bland, and disinteresting game as this. Star Wars I general sense just puts a bad taste in my mouth. It was cool back in the day, but not no more.
unironically better souls game than elden ring

>"in order to save the game you have to use campfires"
>"if you die you lose any progress"
>mfw
uninstalled and thanking god that im on a PC
>"in order to save the game you have to use campfires"
I thought it was just the combat — is the game THAT much of a Dark Souls ripoff?
It is Dark Souls but jankier
dark souls is constantly saving progress regardless of using the fires, so it's actually worse
from the very little i played if you died you had to go back to the enemy that killed you, hit them, and you regain all your xp

I think I'm just starved for good new star wars shit, The Boba fett show sucked, The Mando show was ok, The obi wan show sucked ass besides like 2 minutes out of all the episodes, and the movies sucked.
How the frick is there still no Darth Maul game?
Awful game.
fun but forgettable
Could have been cool, but instead you play a character nobody's heard of supported by a cast of nobodies. Why not just make it an rpg with character creation? Or use any number of fan favorite characters

bought it in the sale, hope it's good
Jedi master or grand master for first playtrough
I heard story and jedi knight are just baseball bats
I'm playing Grand Master and I can't imagine lowering the difficulty, though it does turn some enemies into bullet sponges. But you can adjust difficulty on the fly anyway so just experiment with it.
Pozzed garbage just like the rest of nuWars.
I just turned the game into a 10/10
