Sootopolis is explicitly a destination for people with frick you money, most of them retirees, who want to get away from the rest of the world. Its basically Martha's Vinyard; they probably have overpriced expensive food flown in from lilycove by sea from pacifidlog and cooked by personal chefs who dont even live on the island but have to commute 2 hours each way after cooking for these rich buttholes.
Pokemon locations have always been general representations of the town/city/whatever rather than the exact location itself. This is painfully obvious to anyone with the slightest imagination.
You not liking the series doesn't make what I said any less accurate. No open world game accurately represents the amount of agriculture or industry needed to sustain its population.
I would say Pokemon games are shit at world building, but you were supposed to stop playing these games when you were a child. That's why nothing makes sense about any of them.
they catch some pokemon in the long grass.

>work at the pokemart

would it have killed them to at least make a bridge to connect the left, right side and the pokemon gym?
This is the peak of "best places to hide during a zombie apocalypse meme"
>surrounded by high ground
>can't get any food or supplies
How would you survive zombies living here

Ah yes, just as fighting and catching pokemon is a general representation of good gameplay.
You not liking the series doesn't make what I said any less accurate. No open world game accurately represents the amount of agriculture or industry needed to sustain its population.
