This does actually unironically piss me off and the question of where the toilets are.
I know it's dumb, I know there's no point in it, but it still pisses me off to no end. Elden Ring has this too with some shitty three house villages (at best) with no farm fields that would support the grand scale of civilization the game implies the world once had.
miyazaki's games generally do this. it's not such a big deal for me in the more constrained games, but Elden Ring gamifying the entire world where practically everything in the entire gamespace is hostile has been a huge distraction.
Nothing about the world suggests anyone did anything other than military and stand the frick around waiting for "the guy" in the hopes to kick his ass.
Open world was a mistake. I unironically will take skyrim over this shit.
