Where you getting issues? Works fine for me, and I'm using my original CD's.
How? I still have the original CD and it's not working at all. Changing compat mode doesn't do anything either.
Try trying off Data Execution Prevention for the game in windows
Also, try starting with no third party apps.
I notices RivaTuner for me stop lot old games from working.

The GOG version worked for me on winblows 10.

Very well, I stand corrected.
I liked it as it offered fresh content for me as a Sudden strike player (at the time), but in hindsight it was a bit bloated and unpolished.

The Stalingrad Map from pic rel is pretty epic but you might get filtered if you are not familiar with the games mechanics already.
