higher end places would be a few hundred, and some of the most exclusive just flat out don't let non-japanese people in unless you enter with somebody else who has authority (in one case for me, with a C-suite exec from NTT at one point)

Are you on Normal or Hard? Because if you're not on Hard many of the combat complaints will mean little to nothing to you.
I know people were complaining about the blocking but weren't there also a ton of complaints about the setting/story? so far the only thing that sucked was the cabaret minigame but I powered through it
People have complaints about the pacing and they're completely valid. It bounces between the orphans and the actual main story pretty frequently, you spend anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour with the kids justwhen the story is getting interesting, and they do this several times. There's also an entire chapter dedicated just to exposition for about an hour with nothing else happening.
