you're using 2 fingers out of 5 on your right hand

Because aiming is the most important thing with a mouse, hitting it on the side is detrimental to that even if only slightly.

Jesus, do you have to grip your mouse like a brick?

unless you propose using a controller
there's no way to get the fact that your hands can only focus on two things
and pressing buttons moves the mouse unless you are gorilla gripping the mouse

it aint that hard homie you dont press that shit constantly, just like once every 20 seconds for quick melee or whatever
this
when I used to play WoW I had one for ctrl and the other one for alt, that way you could press 3 different skills with just 1 key. >q >ctrl+q >alt+q
Tried one of these, but I don't play games that would actually take advantage of the extra keys, so I ditched it. All the extra keys did was get in the way.
How do you reposition your mouse without moving the cursor with these? You can't lift it up by gripping it with your thumb and ring finger/pinky without pressing buttons
>it's true
FRICK
they're not even replacing it with an alternative and other numpad mice are inferior due to the lack of the third mouse button on top
literally the greatest mouse ever created and they fricking discontinue it for no apparent reason
Big thumb button is melee or if it's one of those games with a half-aim like DayZ and PUBG, then I put that there. Small thumb button depends on the game.
I globally map them Page Up and Page Down, so browsing the internet is comfy as frick with just one map.
Usually I bind the upper one to map, since putting map to M button is realistically useless.
The lower one, depends on the game. In FPS I bind them to alternative scope/sights, while in TPS I bind it to switch camera shoulder.
shit I only need rarely. except in some shooters I will bind zoom / ADS to the closer thumb button (usually called mouse 4) and I will use HOLD to zoom as well. kind of weird but I got used to it at some point in Quake Champions and it stuck ever since.
The little button is always interact. Very handy in shooters so that I never have to take my fingers off the movement keys. The big button varies, I use it for melee in Destiny and transference in Warframe.
Depends on the game of course. When I was only playing Titanfall 2 I had them with tactical + grenade and that was very useful for playing as titans too (usually shield and special attack). I could do those easily while moving. Some people liked to use them for crouching too.
I quickly noticed that nobody would use their shield ability while walking to the left because they would have to press q, wouldn't use the attack while walking right because pressing g. It was weird to win so many fights because of stupid reasons like that.
I have 3 buttons on that side of my mouse. >single button away from the other two
Pause/Play, so I don't need to alt-tab out of games to mess with the music/podcasts/videos I have on in the background. >other two buttons
Back+Forward in browsers, inventory+something from the right side of the keyboard in games
broswer: back and forward
productivity: cut and paste
games: auxiliary things like melee attack, throw grenade, alt fire, use special power, drink potion, etc. etc.
M1: shoot
M2: alt fire/zoom
MMB: Grenade
Th1: Switch grenade/throwable
Th2: Melee
I'll never be able to get muscle memory for G or Q grenades/throwables, playing Halo as a kid reprogrammed my brain.
>camera moves every time you jump or crouch
fat hands make your mouse move that much fatty? >have to use toggle crouch
i literally fan the the crouch button with my the middle section of my thumb while i jump i dont toggle at all
but weve established that you have hooves for hands so if its that much trouble you can swap them out
In games where the default button for scope, melee, grenade, etc are a keyboard button by default, I usually map those to it. In FF14, I map 3 of my side buttons to alt, ctrl, and shift modifiers. Else, push to talk
Left/Right Lean if the game has it. Otherwise nothing. I usually see it bound to voice chat but I don't like adjusting my aim grip to hit a button, VC is better bound to a key (or even better, open mic)
Why are all modern mouse wheel encoders absolute fricking garbage? I just bought a new mouse like 2 weeks ago and the scroll wheel is already skipping.
For fast-paced shooters, magnify optic and reload.
For slower paced shooters, usually something more specific. For example, for Escape from Tarkov, I have them set to Page-Up and Page-Down because those are the optic magnification buttons when in a match, and when I'm in a menu, they snap to the bottom or top of any given list.
Reload & action.
Melee usually
Nothing, side buttons are cancer.
Why?
Grenade and melee
Pushing the side of the mouse has to be the stupidest fricking thing you could ever do.
This is still the perfect design.
>it's the dumbest because i haven't adapted
You have a keyboard you fricking cripples, use it.
you're using 2 fingers out of 5 on your right hand
Because aiming is the most important thing with a mouse, hitting it on the side is detrimental to that even if only slightly.

it aint that hard homie you dont press that shit constantly, just like once every 20 seconds for quick melee or whatever
or you could just learn how to use a keyboard.
>and pressing buttons moves the mouse
what?
t.exclusively gorilla grips
Do you only play FPS games?
Not enough buttons that are easy to reach.
You are not gonna make it, my friend.
>Unironically responding with "It... It just is, ok?!
Lmao
because it is
unironically
if you need more than two mouse buttons and a scroll wheel while playing games you are genuinely a moron with manlyhands
>Combustion carriages have to be the stupidest thing you could ever ride.
This is still the perfect design.
voice chat
I only like pressing the button closer to the back. the one in front is too awkward to press
Same.
t. fingerlet
I don’t. I accidentally press them and then my mouse feels weird and it takes me a week to get used to it. Then it happens again a few weeks later.
>T. Fatfrick
Guys, is it fat to have thumbs?
That means they're bound to changing cursor speed. Just press the other button to fix it.
Push to talk
PTT
*backs your web browser*
what ever it's bounded by default
sprint and crouch/sneak
Melee on forward and push to talk on back
Nothing
it just fricks your aim up
Ping/callout and emote wheel
scripts
one that open chat and spam racial slurs and the other spams ear rape over voip
Push to talk
this
when I used to play WoW I had one for ctrl and the other one for alt, that way you could press 3 different skills with just 1 key.
>q
>ctrl+q
>alt+q
makes me want to go back to turtlewow
Home and End
I just got a new mouse and don't know what to map the other 10 side buttons
Melee, Grenade, Roll, Slide, Last item on a inventory bar like Minecraft or Valheim.
imagine only having 2
peak MMO performance right here
with a few macros you dont even need a keyboard anymore
Tried one of these, but I don't play games that would actually take advantage of the extra keys, so I ditched it. All the extra keys did was get in the way.
How do you reposition your mouse without moving the cursor with these? You can't lift it up by gripping it with your thumb and ring finger/pinky without pressing buttons
MMOgays don't need to move the mouse very much. They just click on a few menu options and then use the side buttons for their cooldowns.
ive had an original Razer naga for over 10 years now
you can definitely easily pick it up without pressing down the side buttons
Wireless version when? I’ve used this for many years but use a wireless light logitech mouse for cs2.
>discontinued
the west has fallen

FRICK
they're not even replacing it with an alternative and other numpad mice are inferior due to the lack of the third mouse button on top
literally the greatest mouse ever created and they fricking discontinue it for no apparent reason
The only thing that will pop in those is the cable or an omron mouse switch. Both are easy to replace if you're not a dumb hole.
usually abilities or spells with a long cooldown
Foward and back.
Depends on the game but mostly melee. Sometimes prone. In darktide I map the front button to jump
Melee, flashlight, fire mode toggles if they are used often, alternate fire modes etc.
camera rotation in top down games
Melee and voice chat.
weapon quick switch
Voice chat, or toggle variable zoom/zeroing
Big thumb button is melee or if it's one of those games with a half-aim like DayZ and PUBG, then I put that there. Small thumb button depends on the game.

Same here
abilities on buttons that my hand struggles to reach, lean, melee
travel and debuff
shit I only need rarely. except in some shooters I will bind zoom / ADS to the closer thumb button (usually called mouse 4) and I will use HOLD to zoom as well. kind of weird but I got used to it at some point in Quake Champions and it stuck ever since.
Merele
Sprint
Action/Interact
Consumables
Flashlight
>cheater buttons
You didn't beat the game.
I WILL NEVER USE SHIFT+CLICK NONSENSE
The little button is always interact. Very handy in shooters so that I never have to take my fingers off the movement keys. The big button varies, I use it for melee in Destiny and transference in Warframe.
Build mini sentry
Works great during a chaotic firefight.
pitch up/down so i can move the camera while flying a plane
Copy/Paste and game dependent
crouch and action usually melee
Melee/Grenade or Push to Talk, depends on the game
I generally do
MOUSE4 => Melee
MOUSE5 => grenade.
Grenade and Push to Talk
This has had unfortunate consequences in Hell Let Loose.
Melee and weapon swap
check magazine
un-jam weapon chamber
Depends on the game of course. When I was only playing Titanfall 2 I had them with tactical + grenade and that was very useful for playing as titans too (usually shield and special attack). I could do those easily while moving. Some people liked to use them for crouching too.

Mark enemy and any comunications wheels/emotes
idle worker and town center
I have 3 buttons on that side of my mouse.
>single button away from the other two
Pause/Play, so I don't need to alt-tab out of games to mess with the music/podcasts/videos I have on in the background.
>other two buttons
Back+Forward in browsers, inventory+something from the right side of the keyboard in games
left up is melee
left down is ping
right up is an ability
right down mostly goes unused.
melee / grenade
Depends on the game. For Squad both buttons are VC. Most other games its melee and sprint. Some stealth games its sneak/crouch
F5 and back for better browsing
>being a mousegesturelet
my right mouse is fricked so right mouse
Grenade and melee or alt fire depending on game
Map?
autorun to back and something instant to forward
Sprint & Stealth
broswer: back and forward
productivity: cut and paste
games: auxiliary things like melee attack, throw grenade, alt fire, use special power, drink potion, etc. etc.
alt tab
M1: shoot
M2: alt fire/zoom
MMB: Grenade
Th1: Switch grenade/throwable
Th2: Melee
I'll never be able to get muscle memory for G or Q grenades/throwables, playing Halo as a kid reprogrammed my brain.
front button: melee
back button: grenade
Based
Crouch is also acceptable depending 9n the game. In which case you make melee or grenade middle mouse button
I have one mapped to mute my mic and the other to change my mouse dpi when I scope in fps games
I use the official microsoft mouse and keyboard
reminder leaning should never be bound to mouse buttons, it should always be toggle and q & e
the fact that sprint toggles off in some games when you stop moving is cancer
foward crouch backward jump try it you wont go back
>camera moves every time you jump or crouch
>have to use toggle crouch
it's obvious you have never been good at any game.
>camera moves every time you jump or crouch
fat hands make your mouse move that much fatty?
>have to use toggle crouch
i literally fan the the crouch button with my the middle section of my thumb while i jump i dont toggle at all
but weve established that you have hooves for hands so if its that much trouble you can swap them out
t. uses a big boomer logitech with extra weights added, was never good at any game
>hooves for hands
my fingers are long and I have around 15% bodyfat
then you should have no issue being able to hold the foward button and tap the backward with ease
i don't because i don't want to break them
In games where the default button for scope, melee, grenade, etc are a keyboard button by default, I usually map those to it. In FF14, I map 3 of my side buttons to alt, ctrl, and shift modifiers. Else, push to talk
I have the 12 button side, but their uses can be for any number of actions or menu function. I tend to only use the 6 closest buttons though.
yup, sounds about right
Left/Right Lean if the game has it. Otherwise nothing. I usually see it bound to voice chat but I don't like adjusting my aim grip to hit a button, VC is better bound to a key (or even better, open mic)
Mouse4 = Melee
Mouse5 = Grenade
Hang on, if you people don't use M3 for grenade, what the frick do you use it for?
Pinging. I used to use M3 for grenade, but several games have mouse wheel to switch weapons without the ability to toggle that dogshit off.
Nothing, they're too far back on the mouse for my thumb to naturally rest on them, so it's not worth trying to remember to bind something there.
Melee, push to talk.
Control and Middle Click
Why are all modern mouse wheel encoders absolute fricking garbage? I just bought a new mouse like 2 weeks ago and the scroll wheel is already skipping.
have you tried not cumming into your mouse?
Out of game voice chat and in game
forward - reload
back - aim
Push to talk and cough button
i developed repetitive strain injury from using a mouse all day and now i have to play games with this ancient pen tablet. still has 4 buttons tho
Crouch for slide and melee usually
For fast-paced shooters, magnify optic and reload.
For slower paced shooters, usually something more specific. For example, for Escape from Tarkov, I have them set to Page-Up and Page-Down because those are the optic magnification buttons when in a match, and when I'm in a menu, they snap to the bottom or top of any given list.
Melee attack or Rocket launcher to mouse 4, I dont use mouse 5 too awkward
top button exit game, bottom button uninstall
weapon 1, weapon 2. If not applicable to the game, close button is something i use very often and the other is something I can instantly utilize
I don't, I press them on accident and it fricks up my web browsing flow. moron whoever mapped those to forward/back
mag check / fire rate
They're wirelessly rigged to rack and fire a shotgun that's aimed directly at my face
