I remember Rage one was boring but had a cool boomerang I think. I didn't even realize there was a second Rage.
Boring crap with good gunplay.

The looks of the setting and the fluid animations were amazing
Shotgun was nice.
I like Rage 1 probably more than it deserves. I was really hoping they'd expand on it with a sequel, because the main issue I have with the first game is how rushed it all feels. But instead they made this abomination.

I agree with everything you said except this, because both games have incredibly boring maps.
the worst part of the first game was driving between mission areas, and that's still the worst part in the sequel.
By the time the gameplay gets fun because you finally have all the cool powers unlocked the game abruptly finishes.
As for setting, characters, plot, world and everything else it's completely forgettable

Doom 2016 but worse due to open world, boring enemy design, shit story, and terrible pacing. The only upside was the gameplay didn't revolve around melee kill cinematics to restock ammo and health.
If you play on difficulties above normal (and/or new game+) running up to groups of people and using shatter or than jump-and-slam move is the most effective way to play as enemy damage scaling is absurd and enemies drop the magical healing crystals.

Played the first one for a couple of hours, saw horrendous texture pop in when turning the camera. Didn't play further, nor the second one.
Ignore it. I will never play games that look like this.
It's sort of like a Far Cry game except you have a super suit along with guns and powers that turn people into paste
I honestly love the game and its setting, if you can look past the misguided marketing it might be your thing

The thing is nobody makes any quips in game and the gang the purple haired people are part of are only a small portion of the game. In other words it is dead easy to see who never played the game and just take some potshots based on marketing.
I remembered there being some shitty bug keeping many from being able to complete the game. Including myself.
Absolute mediocre to awful slop except for the combat and that's the only part id software worked on funnily enough.
I remember I didn't play it because they didn't fill it with a bunch of cute grills like the first game

The shotgun is the best in any game ever. And it's stuck in the most mediocre shooter I've ever played.
It isn't the best. Top 5 maybe, but nowhere near the best. It is however the 2nd best weapon in rage 2.

It felt like 3 different studios worked on it and just slapped everything together. Half the guns didn't work with the run and gun style of gameplay and the vehicle was entirely useless
The vehicle is the only viable means of actually crossing the map. The ones found in the world 9and the game kinda sorta maybe suggests collecting) are worthless as when they run out of health, you fricking die as they explode. Your vehicle just wienerblocks you and has a nap until you threaten it with your fist and it heals. Plus phoenix is kinda horny for walker.
What I meant by useless is that all the car parts of the game have zero use to you. 90% of outposts don't let you drive the thing in, you have to fire your guns at a single enemy for 10 seconds to do damage it them, and the reward for killing caravans is just upgrade parts for the car so you can kill more caravans. Once you get the hover bike, you never need the car again. I did like the VA for it though.
It was on the PS extra subscription, its trailer had "adult cartoon" style humor, there was a boomerang, psychic powers maybe, mutant rednecks and some space Nazis called the Regime or the Authority something like that
Never played it, decided to play fallout 4 instead
90% holding holding a button and looking for chests and trinkets, 10% actual fun.
