What do you think about Pokemon challenges? Are they fun? A waste of time? Know of any interesting ones?
>inb4 only ecelebs play shit like that
Not what I asked.

They're a fine way to add a bit of spice to a game that has become bland. It can be interesting to watch the strategies people use. Tried a nuzlocke once and it was kind of interesting I guess.
This nuzlocke I did was fun, I wanna do a gen 3 one but I can't think of a good romhack to do it
Do perfect emerald or ultra violet if you want a neat vanilla+ experience.
Nice! thank you, that's exactly what I want
>PSYOP
>NINEELEVEN
>CHADWARDEN
inclement emerald, or kaizo emerald but kaizo is stupid hard for no reason
elite redux
Challenges are always a good way to make the generally super easy JRPG genre a bit more interesting.
Planning on doing Legend of Dragoon with Albert and Kongol one day.
>level 90-100
How long is that rom hack?
>How long is that rom hack?
elite 4 was lvl 80 i just ended up grinding way too much accidentally after almost having all my pokemon die twice
only ecelebs play shit like that
sorry but i like playing with the most powerful badass pokemon and sometimes the really loose looking ones
I like mono type runs but that's it
Don't bother. Just watch ecelebs like Jrose11 doing them instead.
>I wasn't asking about ecelebs
Don't care either. Shit idea to do.
>watching a homosexual autistic mouth breathing israelite who makes the same 5 jokes over and over again
i mean i do too but i still dislike him
Mental illness.
waste of time, great for bragging rights that absolutely no one will respect you for
"Wow due, you can beat super mario (insert title here) in 37 mins? how cool is that!"
said no one ever
They're weird as hell and they all clearly just copy each other. Most of them do this thing where they narrate their challenge as if they actually went on a journey and it was all real, but full of lame "jokes". Those are strange and annoying, but the one that bugs me is that channel that's like "This PRO Pokemon player attempts this challenge" and it's his own channel so: 1. It pisses me off because stop calling yourself a pro Pokemon player. And 2. Stop referring to yourself in the third person for your video titles. It's like fake hype.
So yeah I watched some for a bit when I was hunting for a way to making Pokemon more challenging and then just got tired of them all being the same.
all pokemon "challenges" are "look how hard i can grind", rng central or both
none of them are remotely entertaining
also frick off to /vp/
Pokemon had the answer to these problems later in Gen 5, it's called Easy and Challenge Mode
But they were moronic and placed it as an option after you beat the game instead of an option before you start your journey
Pokemon Company is delusional that they think their main audience are children when in reality majority of their audience are the same millennials who grew up with the peak Pokecraze in the late 90s-early 00s
doesn't matter, it still sells. why try when you can spread your asscheeks over two bags and sell piping hot shit to morons hand over fist. pokehomosexuals deserve to have their money taken from them
The challenge modes in Gen 5 barely even do anything
I think they're fine, its tantamount to doing a sl1 run in dark souls or something. With pokemon though it does highlight a big problem with the series in that the games are so pathetically easy the only way to get any challenge out of them is to do some goofy run like that.
They're fun and the right way to play the game after the first time
A nuzlock of a vanilla game can be fun but won't be that much harder if you get at least a few good mons and don't lose your starter.
But those difficulty hack hardcore nuzlocks are stupid, there isn't any skill in needing 10+ minutes for a single turn because you need to use a calculator before you do something and it's also an RNG nightmare.
The new trend of difficulty hacks that just remove good encounters seem interesting though.
>train to level 100
>beat the baby game easily
wow that was so interesting holy shit
They're fun to watch sometimes. I can't play any pokemon game without savescuming and speed up, so there's no point in trying to do a challenge run.
I've started to see challenge runs of games as just being a way for chronic min-maxers to trick themselves into having fun, instead of just doing the same things every time.
What’s the most annoying time consuming Pokémon to evolve and why is it Feebas?
Raising beauty isn't that bad if you know what you're doing. The worst pokemon to evolve are all those fricking Gen 5 first stage shitmons that evolve into their second stage at like fricking 50 or 60.
I played pokemon run and bun recently and it was pretty fun.
A bit long, and a chore at time. It really made me think that having random easy to beat or avoidable trainers was actually a good thing to do sometimes. Also they removed the xp grind which is a very good thing, but it add to the chore somehow since you don't get xp over beating trainer and it can be kinda frustrating. But overall a nice and challenging experience
No, I like the collecting aspect of Pokemon, not so much the combat. I've tried one or two Nuzlockes, but I always get bored before getting halfway through.
Is the emerald roguelike mod a pokemon challenge? I enjoyed it.
it's tough but the game gives you enough tools to make it as difficult as you like
i put heatran and sky!shaymin as my starters
