Its been a while but were the dungeons better in Bloodborne? There was definite cut and paste but I remember there being unique bosses and surprises and also some actual difficulty
Chalice dungeons were procgen trash, they're fricking horrid and to this day I've never managed to force myself all the way through them. ER's minidungeons can get pretty samey after a while but they're at least all handmade and a lot of them have unique gimmicks and puzzles and shit
I remember thinking that chalice dungeons were a neat addition to the lovecraft theme, and that maybe they could've been more fun if they had gotten more attention. At least the individual rooms/pieces were designed well. I also always felt bad that the devs designed a shocking number of enemies that only appear in the dungeons, which a huge number of players never saw. They should've thrown a bunch of them in a side area in the main game.
But yea, when you compare chalice dungeons to more typically designed dungeons like in ER they do lack a bit of something.
I still wish they would have just scrapped the chalices entirely and used that dev time to make more main game content, Bloodborne is great but it's really short
>ER's minidungeons can get pretty samey after a while but they're at least all handmade
lol, they used the same procedural mapgenerator to make those too
it's just a newer version, and once they generate the maps they manually adjust them
>procgen trash
The procedural generation was the best part moron. Making a random cursed, fetid, rotted ihyll pthumerian chalice is the funnest part of Bloodborne
>dungeons better in Bloodborne
discounting the bonus minecraft chalices, Bloodborne doesn't really have dungeons. the whole game is just one long dungeon
The dungeons themselves weren't better, but they did have a lot of bosses and enemies you literally couldn't find anywhere else in the base game, which was cool.
I remember something weird happened a couple of times when I died and then returned to a chalice dungeon section. I went back into a little side dungeon before the boss and I swear all the enemies aggro'd from any distance as soon as I walked in. I could hear one of these frickin madmen screaming as he zigzagged through halls and down ladders towards me, aggroing from like 2 floors up and 3 rooms over. A genuinely good scare
Some madness weapons.
A boss fight that can summon you after you beat it.
A 3 phase boss fight right at the start to filter shitters that get carried the entire game.
>a boss fight that can summon you after you beat it
DS2 and DS3 both had this and people fricking LOVED it, why the FRICK did they not bother adding this in a game as big as ER? I do absolutely love invading people during open world bosses though
>Some madness weapons.
More madness incants too please. We get >un-aimed random firebolts from the eyes >un-aimed random firebolts from the eyes but longer duration >a scream that only affects tarnished so is useless basipally >a decent snipe blast for trashmobs >an ok ghostrider grab
And weapons we get >an admittedly badass spear >a really gay 6 gorillion pound shield
More fun bosses, more fun weapons, cool areas to explore. Ideally they'd also add back in some questlines that were being developed but didn't make it into the final game.
every dungeon is unique, even the minor ones, including music
not a single repeat boss, no bosses that are just regular enemies
more bosses like mogh and godrick, less like maliketh and malenia
enough field space to feel explorable but not so much that I get sick of riding torrent, especially on repeat playthroughs
Godwyn, gloam eyed queen, outer gods, marika's giant breasts in my face, miquella (obviously we're getting "him"), some three fingers madness shit, 5 headed placidusax, godefroy the grafted to finally claim his elden throne
I want malenia reborn as a full goddess since she bloomed for the third time when we defeated her. I want an even more embiggened dragon. I want all moronic hurdles removed from multi-player, just let me play with my frickin friend. I want some spells and incants that both look cool AND don't suck.
>at least 2 new open world zones >at least 2 legacy dungeons >at least 3 remembrance bosses >at least 10 other bosses besides those >at least 35 new weapons >at least 20 new spells >at least 15 new ashes of war >at least 10 new spirit ashes >at least 20 new full armor sets >more perfumer recipes >more physics tears >more complex minor dungeons >harder than base content >shops for currently shit i have to grind for (STRING!) >something i dont know i want
I feel these are reasonable demands after 2 years of development.

>rebalance the later areas to not have inflated health pools >he overleveled the frick out of himself and got mad when the enemies started to fight back again in mountaintops
Lol weak
I'm curious what lore will be touched on and what won't be. I wonder which threads they'll leave to our imaginations. I'm also wondering if they're planning a sequel or what, with all this success. Though the industry might become shaky in the near future
>used it for my friend every time we're clearing a boss in his world >he runs in moronicly and dies every time
I went through those leaves fast as frick trying to get him slightly less shit
me going through at level 700 with my buddy who's only level 100 and killing anyone who nvades them, man i love the password invite system in elden ring

and i look forward to even more seething about seamless co-op ruining the game (it actually improves it by 1000%)

I don't even care what they add in the DLC before they fix that.

This has never been the case in a single one of these games

Agreed, the only useful one is explosive ghostflame
>They really just need to buff the shit out of Golden Order incant damage
not really as long as the enemies aren't resistant to holy golden order does quite a bit of damage, the problem in the base game is that the entire endgame is just holy
One big open world area that connects 2-3 big legacy dungeons. Time travel shenanigans, pre-flowering Caelid, some bosses in their prime, Moon being a zone and having its own legacy dungeon full of eldritch stuff. More madness and sleep usage. Cute waifu questline, cut Miquela content. Ranni boss fight. A way to replay boss fights.
I found Elden Ring to be a very unpleasant game to play, especially in my style of always trying to make the fight as frank as possible. I went a lot of the game without a shield with a Great Club (before the update that made it viable). The Great Club was terrible, but it was perfectly possible to progress through the game with it, but the boss battles were all quite annoying, with "gotchas" in every movement to try to trick the player.
What I want are bosses that are "predictable" in the sense that their movement makes some sense and you can use your instinct to dodge attacks, but that are challenging nonetheless. How to do this in this shit ass "Dark Souls" combat? I don't know, but I'm not the developer, let's see if they can do this, or will they make the bosses have cheap moves again.
Note: I'm struggling to get Elden Ring to run at 60fps without stutters and seemingly random frame rate drops, and I don't know what else to do. I have a fricking RTX3090 and I haven't been able to eliminate these problems completely. Can mods save me?
Just update your driver's and don't buy shitty Chinese hardware. It's like a flashlight that boasts "500,000 Lumens!" sold to you by chingchong holdings. No it fricking doesn't. The performance you're getting is not what's listed on the box.
Honestly it just better be really fricking good, I enjoyed the base game well enough but when I've thought about going back to it it just never felt worth the hassle. Ideally I'd start from a new character since it's been two fricking years since I last played it, but the thought of trudging through so much unenjoyable filler content all over again just doesn't appeal to me. It wasn't fun fighting the same boss 6 times the first time around, the DLC had better be fricking amazing for me to even bother.
Dunno what to tell you man, the actual fun moments of the game that continue being fun the amount of times the game expects you to do them are too few and far between. It has the most content but is ironically the least replayable souls game.
>ironically the least replayable souls game.
Likely true. And sekiro is ironically the most replayable, at least for me personally. No way I could ever do elden ring 7 times.
It's been 2 years so >SOTFS style remix of the base game >adding cut questlines/NPCs like Kale's quest >big new content: 3+ legacy dungeons, etc. >make INT/FTH no longer terrible by adding an infusion and better spells >improving the Elden Lord endings

how about no >adding cut questlines/NPCs like Kale's quest
none of them fit anymore, they were all earlier versions of those character's and their lore >big new content

the Elden Lord endings
...with what? every ending that could be interesting is interesting, and the ones that are just "sit in chair" are just... exactly that
there's no conceptual way to le "improve them"
You poor sad pea-brained moron. Just show what the fricking narrator is talking about. A funeral march of the undead in Fia's ending, the disfigurement of the cursed masses in Dungeater's, etcetera. Your almost robot-like lack of creativity is no excuse for Fromsoft's lazy copy-paste job.
>Hewg's eating crab, telling literally anybody that looks in his direction that he took them for dead >Roderika uses separate cooked crab pieces to put together a new crab >Boc made everybody bibs for eating crab >Enia eats crab with her fingers >Nepheli talks about how the taste of the crab reminds her of her first hawk >Gostoc's stealing crab off of everybody else's plates when they're not looking >Kenneth makes Boggart a knight as reward for the crab >Torrent gets a big pile of protein pellets >Miriel eats more crab than anybody else >Ranni pretends to not want any crab but then eats half of the Tarnished's plate anyways >Iji berates himself for being a poor war councilor because he didn't think of this crab recipe >Blaidd eats uncooked crab >Jerren loudly proclaims that the Boilprawn Shack festival has begun >Sellen astral projects to get crab to go >Alexander is just constantly putting any scraps in himself to grow as strong as a crab >Jar-Bairn befriends the uncooked crabs >Millicent does a thirteen hit combo on the crab with her utensils before eating it >Melina keeps getting dragged away from sitting to close to the fire by the Tarnished >Diallos swears vengeance against the crabs for giving him heartburn, citing that 'the Tale of House Hoslow is told in Cajun spice' >Mimic Tear becomes crab >Goldmask is just in the corner standing there with crab stuck to his mask when the Tarnished tried to fit it through to feed him
the ending we DESERVED
>People surprised DLC is in development hell >Not remembering that GRR Martin likely also got asked to give notes on the backstory for it like base-game.
Lots of things, but i'll stick to something no one else will say >more craftable items with interesting effects, comparable to spells and scaling with STR/DEX
More interesting tools for hybrid builds. >new weapon infusion type that scales INT/FTH, equivalent to fire/dark infusions in DaS2-3 >more hybrid spells and casting tools for INT/FTH and INT/ARC that don't suck ass >weapons with special R2s or L2s that cast spells, like the blue flame sword in DaS2 or heysel pick in DaS3 >ash of war usable on staffs/seals that allow you to 'hotkey' one of your spells for instant use without having to keep flipping back to it in your spell list
Also more pieces of armor with interesting secondary effects.
To fix all the shitty dungeons and remove some of the repeat boss encounters.
nailed why I couldn't care to replay it

Probably more great runes too, at least Miquella's and maybe even Ranni's and Godwyn's
Triple all that at a minimum.
you forgot: a whole new DLC dream island realm dimension that is populated entirely by enemies who use sleep attacks
It's really the same basedslop as always. Why people are excited for this garbage?
spam roll to melodramatic british accented bosses over orchestral music
An even higher STR requirement hammer.
Marika super mega ultra boss
>rebalance the later areas to not have inflated health pools

obviously we'll get some more stuff about Miquella's dream world and the eclipse
but its not going to be what you want to know about it

Black Knights in Kiln of the First Flame?
High drop rate for chunks, not 100%, and that's one enemy type literally at the very end of the game
It is 100% for chunks not weapons. Some will always drop normal red and white chunks. Also
Titanite Demon in Lost Izalith.

Melina Gloam Eyed Queen bossfight

All I want is a fricking fist weapon and armor that isn't overdesigned garbage
More int/fai weapons
strong int/fai spells
They really just need to buff the shit out of Golden Order incant damage and Death sorcery damage.
Not that Ancient Death Ranco needs to be fricking shit up it's already extremely strong at staggering, but maybe something like a ghost flame bolt.

A three phase boss that can top Sister Friede or even the first four phase boss of Souls.
Sister Friede sucks and 3 phases was a stupid gimmick
One big open world area that connects 2-3 big legacy dungeons. Time travel shenanigans, pre-flowering Caelid, some bosses in their prime, Moon being a zone and having its own legacy dungeon full of eldritch stuff. More madness and sleep usage. Trick weapons, or at least a paired weapon with an infusueable ash that isn't fricking claws.
A weapon that's just a revised/improved version of DS2's Bone Fist.
A puzzle boss
A new legacy dungeon
A new overworld section
Eclipse Lore
Radagon pre-fusion lore
I'd like the option to alter more armor pieces, like being able to remove Godfrey's scalp from his fricking crown.
This is the goofiest shit ever, I'm convinced the devs do this shit for a laugh. "oh they wanna wear the crown that badly? heuh heuh heuh"
To explore the origins of the loathsome dung eater and why zanzibart doesn't forgive him
Note: I'm struggling to get Elden Ring to run at 60fps without stutters and seemingly random frame rate drops, and I don't know what else to do. I have a fricking RTX3090 and I haven't been able to eliminate these problems completely. Can mods save me?

>>make INT/FTH no longer terrible
Int/fth is fricking great though
for them to NOT add in some broken over powered weapon that only gets a balance patch once and still ends up being a broken over power piece of shit
1. Some of the boss's damage output was fricking dogshit not to mention the speed of some attacks. They really need to be adjusted.
2. Make more builds viable and fun to play.
3. Replace repeat bosses with new ones.
4. Make things far less cryptic to find.
I will say that i only played a little bit of the game so these things might have already been fixed. The game needs to be focused on fun.

Sekiro boss rush.
my expectation is that nothing in the dlc is susceptible to either bleed or frost
It's been so long I wouldn't be surprised if there's an entire alt dream version of the base game in the dlc
>People surprised DLC is in development hell
>Not remembering that GRR Martin likely also got asked to give notes on the backstory for it like base-game.

Make it so I can buy the last tier of smithing stones.
60 fps on steam deck
Lots of things, but i'll stick to something no one else will say
>more craftable items with interesting effects, comparable to spells and scaling with STR/DEX
More interesting tools for hybrid builds.
>new weapon infusion type that scales INT/FTH, equivalent to fire/dark infusions in DaS2-3
>more hybrid spells and casting tools for INT/FTH and INT/ARC that don't suck ass
>weapons with special R2s or L2s that cast spells, like the blue flame sword in DaS2 or heysel pick in DaS3
>ash of war usable on staffs/seals that allow you to 'hotkey' one of your spells for instant use without having to keep flipping back to it in your spell list
Also more pieces of armor with interesting secondary effects.
