Modern graphics but with cool art direction
Campaigns as good as the ones from 1. most of them should take place at night. Snow campaign this time
Memorable cast with good non-uggo designs (survivors from 1 were perfect)
Horror collabs, like an official Resi campaign or some shit like that
Playable helicopter/truck/etc sections, like in zombie escape (ze_) maps in Counter Strike Source
point A to point B shooting zombies and special infected with lots of guns. no politics, no gender representation, no troony shit, no leftism no rightie bullshit. Just another left 4 dead with new characters, guns, maps, and infected.
You know that if they do two white guys, a black guy and a woman (Like the previous two) both sides are still going to shit themselves to death regardless.
cosmetic level ups like in deep rock to see on the first glance who is a shitter and who isnt
mandatory 25 max player servers
inifnitly scaling zombie ai that makes the game as fun with 4 players as with 25 or 60 on modded servers
the sme modability
since Source 2 can do some real mapping wizardry, layouts that can subtly shift per run so that players are forced or at least heavily nodded towards taking different routes per playthrough of a campaign, and then permutations of events within those shifting what you have to do every time. for people that don't like the element of random surprise, you can then toggle a setting for a standardized run, for those speedrunners or the like that plays more like the previous games
you can make decent-looking shit through pure mapping geometry without model importing, you can make massive maps that utterly dwarf source 1's limitations, you can subvert old skybox styles by instead creating a whole extra map layered on top of the main one that is virtually seamless besides whatever asset quality is used on that other map, and other stuff, but I am not a skilled mapper so someone with the CS2 workshop tools on-hand probably knows better than me
Source 2 can load multiple maps - as well as parts of maps - at the same time (It's how skyboxes work in CS2, and the main menu is just a ton of tiny maps). Make a set piece template in an area with a given entry and exit that connect seamlessly to the 'main' map, make a bunch of variations of said template, then tell the AI Director/random number generator or whatever to choose one at random.
I wouldn't mind new weapons and new common and special infected but keep the core mechanics
no perks
no xp/leveling
no weapon upgrades
or any shit they pulled in Back 4 Blood
I want Valve to do the '3' box. Half-Life 3, Portal 3, L4D3, Team Fortress 3. Now that Source 2 can do an FPS with networking as shown by CS2 (Regardless of how people say it's busted), Valve can finally get off their fat asses and make dem games.
>VR/Non-VR crossplay (come on valve you made a fricking index actually utilize it for more than one game) >Steam Workshop suppport just like with L4D 2 >Source 2 >8 player coop mode >8v8 versus mode >Better menu navigation that makes it easier to party up with randos and just play >Protagonists that are just as iconic as the previous ones >Make the movement and atmosphere feel more like L4D1 than 2
I mean, it's hard to add to perfection so most of the things I'd mention simply boil down to "minor QoL tweaks and well written protagonists who aren't obnoxious", the biggest addition I'd want is VR support of some kind. Not MANDATORY VR but crossplay like what Phasmophobia has.
less Black folk
keep the excellent gore
weapons that dont feel and sound like shit
randomised routes so that experienced players cant just rush the known shortcuts.
Truth is for those few who played it back then, new game couldnt match the old experience. There isnt any wall to break that would make it new and fresh. Then again i think they should try and surprise me, i wouldnt mind beeing wrong.
also can't forget workshop modding that is hopefully better integrated than 2's jumbled nonsense at times, though it won't inherently fix some people creating rough shit anyway
>perks >skills >skill tree >prestige >loot >cosmetics >battle passes >rewards for logging in continuously
Don't really care for Steam workshop or whatever.
needs a more depth and fancy physics, as in more ways to interact with the world
e.g. more tools to light things up, some enemies react differently to different light types, electricity and shiet, things being able to catch fire & fire forcing players to leave areas permanently & fire extinguishers, occasional stealth recommended sections for more reasons (not just car/witch), some campaigns you should start with melee weapons only, some campaigns you shouldn't have default flashlights and have to use lantern/torches, etc.
25k+ players only, no realism verses. If you're not playing realism verses, you're not actually playing the game. Being coddled and told what enemy you need to prioritize proves your incompetence.
Versus is a piece of shit mode taking hours to finish a game
Realism is way too boring, once you Saw it once, you Saw it all. Woah a whole gamemode where you don't see outlines!!!!
Scavenge is where it's at!!
Quick match, New way to play the infected, New strategies for both team
Source 2
New campaigns
2 New infected and 4 new survivors
And of course an easy way to port mods from L4D2
Optional
Reworking portable ammo and give it a buff
And new weapons
>Remplacing those boring gatling guns with water hose >Common dies from drowning >Specials get pushed away >Do not use on burning zombies
Also in weapons >Flare gun >More defensive melee like an riot shield or protected sleeve to boxes the zombies yourself
My ideas of New infected would be a pregnant zombie who fetus mutated to crawl at you, playing it like those little robot in Rainbow Six
And turning a simple cold into a mutant who can make snort Trap in corner to damage survivors

ngmi
nothing of that is important we already have tons of modded maps and decent campaigns
I just want new infected and that's it
What about maps made by actual experienced devs not fricking Crash_Bandicoot (v1) (Beta)
I just want to see it
The only good part was the hotel level in Dead Center. Everything else was overedited and ultimately mundane and stale.
did you even play the first game compaigns? they are far better
Bitch, do you even remember what the alpha/beta build even looked like?
I want the maps to become larger than ever while having a good art direction and more customizable campaigns.
Also for versus to work on any map regardless if it has built in support for it.
agree longer maps should be better and focused the game on PVP casual and competitive option with less medickits
it would be funny if they actually did it, but it was left 4 dead: resurrection or something like that
The good 'ol times, to go back to the past.
to play the shitty games that suck ass?
vs today where we get shitty games that suck ass + microtransactions along with a dead internet?
wouldn't you rather have a buffalo take a diarrhea dump in your ears?
i'd rather eat the rotted butthole of a roadkill skunk and down it with beer
He’s the angriest gamer you’ve ever heard
I'm the angry Ganker nerd
Are you also the angry youtube and twitter nerd?
Damn, you're probably the angriest gamer I've ever heard
Wouldn't you like to eat the rotten butthole of a road killed skunk and down it with beer?

If they can make a homie half as based as Coach or even Louis, there will be no issue.
boring game like any other horde shooter game. i hope it never gets released.

Midnight Riders as playable characters.

Source 2 L4D mite be cool
needs a more depth and fancy physics, as in more ways to interact with the world

If it has the features like what CS 2 does, you should be able to push around the environment objects to create barricades.
They should do like a card system or something, roguelites are popular right?
STFU ALL OF YOU, YOU NEEDY c**tS
I DON'T SEE ANYONE PLAYING REALISM VERSES. YOU CAN ALL CHOKE ON EXHAUST MUFFLERS
Bro it's a 10+ year old game.

it's almost impossible with randoms

More of the darker setting and options for less melee emphasis.
