I feel like you could get used to it if you insisted, and by that time you adapted your brain would have changed in a way that would be beneficial to your ADD.

I guess you have to move towards what feels challenging or uncomfortable. If you weren't able to focus on a single task without having something on in the background or multitasking I'd give you the opposite advice.

I have no problem with total silence or lack of stimulation, I just get bored of games without anything else on. Obviously it depends on the game too, if it's heavily story driven or atmospheric I'll just play the game. Right now I'm doing an NG+ run of Sekiro and I since I already know the story and it's kind of a relaxing flow state game I prefer to have something to listen to

I’m 31 and I’m at the point now where if a game doesn’t completely grab my full attention and eliminate any need I have for a background distraction or podcast or whatever, then I generally can’t bring myself to keep playing it.
