I get that it’s the point but having Nemesis following you everywhere was annoying and tiresome.

Then how come everyone and their mom praised 2make for doing the same shit

Mr X doesn’t appear nearly as much as Nemy though

At least you could fight Nemesis and he'd drop useful shit. Mr. RemakeX just kneels like some cuck after you shoot him a few times and that's it. Also homosexual gets utterly destroyed by geometry and is slow as shit while Nemesis will just fricking rush you to rape your face. Granted once you learn to abuse his patterns he's not hard either but at least he's more of a threat.

not if you got good at fighting him, it's exhilarating

One of the best games in the series.
Objectively superior to RE2 in many ways.

Mr X doesn’t appear nearly as much as Nemy though

Incorrect. Nemmy pops out and goes the next moment. You can also KILL him to get rid of him for hours.

2 is the peak of the series but 3 is a great replay and Jill will always be best character. Any of the classic games are better than 4.

It is the worse one, without a doubt.
      1 > 2 > 3

No, it's the weakest one. Still very good, though.

I liked it but I still prefer 2

I don't know how people can prefer 2 considering it's so incredibly easy. 3 perfected difficulty.

it's just over too quick and feels like the levels have less depth, you're meant to steamroll through the thing instead of chill in one area at a time

        All three were easy.

If I wanted difficulty I would play games where I an not hampered by controls. I am fine with tank controls, but RE3 really stretches how far you can take it and it does feel frustrating a couple of times. And dodge is shit.

homie get good, the dodge works if you know the weird timing (can consistently perfect dodge Nemesis without fail) and the 180 flip made tank control way better.

            Anonymous

The problem with the dodge is not the timings but how random it feels. I guess it is enemy dependant, but sometimes you just dodge, sometimes you push an enemy back, sometimes you roll away. I want a universal system, where I know the results that I will get, not where I have to try it with every enemy before I can actually think if it is worth using it.
Also why even risk using a dodge when you just run to the right of Nemesis and he will just miss.

The controls are what make it fun, you homosexual poser fan. morons like you probably think Castlevania and Ghost n’ Ghouls should have Super Mario Bros 3 controls.

My favorite in the classic trilogy

I'm split on it, it's a smaller game than the other two, added much less to the series canon but I'd say it's my subjective favorite. Nemesis really rounds out the horror element and I'd say it easily has the strongest climax of the 3 games.

    I > 3 > 2

2 was always the worst out of the original three so it was mind-boggling to me why it was held as the great one for so long, especially makes no sense when REmake (a remake of 1) was treated like the second coming of Christ like it was an entirely different game. I always associated it with Johhny-come-lately fans trying to ride the hype wave after 1 blew up since 2 was their first game.

Oh wow, another thread where people who prefer 3 will downplay its flaws while overstating 2's shortcomings as a way to magnify its virtues.

And 2 fans will do the same in response.

Nemesis is what happens when mommy neglects you. Momcest chads don't end up like that, they live happily ever after with their Momwives.

RE1 is just classic raw kino. RE3 is by far the best playing. Movement is snappy, game moves at a good pace, unique stalker enemy in Nemesis, multiple paths for story adds replayability. RE2 is a stone cold classic too, but I find the game simply not as fun to play as the other two.
