This is the opposite of why GMOs even exist btw, the whole point is getting more value out of less land usage.

A plant that grows faster but provides less nutrition will do nothing other than reducing tonnage per hectare output value which is what the entirety of modern farming is based upon. There isn't a farmer in the world who's interested in a product that requires more labor and gives less value.

Anon-sama, feel free to look into some of the grimy things that go on in agriculture. And also: farmers are interested in what is subsidized at this point, because it is the only profitable way for most of them.

Incorrect, farmers like subsidies for the same reason that everyone else likes free money. New Zealand got rid of farm subsidies and their farmers aren't all going broke.

I know that the utter morons who buy Battlefield and EA Sports slop will literally never, ever consider quality of the product, but considering how incompetent they are at handling works even when they have their hands directly on things, I can't imagine this resulting in anything other than exponentially lower-effort trash than their usual near-zero effort trash.

It would make RPGs more interesting
Like you could actually have conversations with npcs as the character you want to play rather than set choices from the game. Like FO1 did but instead of of “if then” logic it’s a chat model to make the setting more intuitive and immersive. Some games have been doing that already but a full AAA game having it would be neat
