What does this mean when aura of censure gets 70 elemental damage? Does the aura do 70 more damage or do I get 70 overall damage to everything when the aura is on?

spend a point and check it on a dummy
it usually means you gain weapon damage though
So which one is true? I don't really want to craft it before in case it's bad.
Virtue set?
>Virtue set?
not even close. does that frisbee look like fire dmg to you?
It very clearly says it adds to the aura, I am confused by your confusion. The aura does its own damage, it doesn't affect weapon damage. Why would it affect weapon damage?
There are items like 5% chance for 50% reduced cooldown to Possession that got me thinking because Possession obviously has no cooldown.
>There are items like 5% chance for 50% reduced cooldown to Possession that got me thinking
Can you name it? I've just checked if there are any and unless it's some sort of monster infrequent I haven't found anything like that.
He's talking about Bloodlord's Blade
https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/8872
It basically functions the same as the 'of gildam arcanum' suffix you can find on israeliteelry and belts. You just need possession for it to work
There are "buffs", like Possession or Aura of Conviction that give bonuses to you and there are "auras" like Aura of Censure or Vindictive Flame that damage enemies and bonuses to those work specifically on those "auras". Think of them as damage skills that work passively, not buffs to you.
>Think of them as damage skills that work passively, not buffs to you.
only applies censure in that example. Vindictive flame gives you hp regen and total % speed while also doing damage to enemies around you automatically every 2.5s
Vindictive is both, and you gotta use your head then. There are items that give it like 300 damage, and obviously you don't get that.
>Vindictive is both
yeah that's what i said. I was just clarifying your previous post. Only censure is a pure passive damage skill
It's like Night's Chill, dealing damage to enemies while also reducing their resistance.
Base Aura of Censure only does fire damage. Elemental damage is fire, lightning, and frost damage split 33/33/33. So in this case, you'd be dealing 23 of each per tick of the AoE without any adjustments from other gear or levels to the skill itself.
THROW SHIELDS homieS
Why did the choose 8 elements?
It's the same damage types as Titan Quest with the addition of Chaos for cthonians and Aether for aetherials
Yeah, they are ex tq devs.
I imagine tq choose as many elements, bc they wanted classes and elements to match and and to be distinguishable from d2.
Tq2 when?
They're making a new DLC for Grim Dawn so probably not in years.
you been under a rock or something?
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1154030/Titan_Quest_II/
It's made by the Spellforce 2 devs.
i hope the studio survives long enough to release it
Spellforce 3 devs anon. I assume that's a typo
Well shit, I missed this announcement completely. I hope they don't frick it up; my love of TQ wasn't quite overshadowed by GD, and TQ has aged so horribly it's jarring to go back to it after GD.
Fingers crossed.
A release date, please. Just a release date so I can ease my mind.
Hope q1. Almost starting to get desperate and flirting with bloodlines 2. Not going to touch it, but I find myself looking up vids about it.
>Yeah, they are ex tq devs.
No they aren't. Every single thread you homosexuals still say this. There is a. I repeat A, singular ex Iron Lore dev that is the CEO of crate. Iron Lore had 30-40 people, crate entertainment barely had a dozen devs that made GD and none of them except their CEO worked for Iron Lore. Fricking moronic ngger
Oh, really. I didn't know. Yeah, I likely catched it here somewhere.
Gd is still very similar to tq2.
When?
Yeah cause it's the same exact engine. Arthur Bruno, the former Iron Lore and now CEO of Crate, managed to buy the license and source code for it after Iron Lore died.
>Then it occurred to me that the Titan Quest engine was sitting in storage collecting dust. The Iron Lore owners had both gone off to do other things and no one was doing anything with the source code.
>I worked out a deal for the source code and thus began "Zombie ARPG".
https://www.shacknews.com/article/117830/iron-will-grim-dawn-designer-arthur-bruno-on-the-ups-and-downs-of-remote-development
Interesting. How much he paid? Curious.
Oh, thx for the link.
Probably never disclosed that. Can't imagine it was too much considering it was just collecting dust and him being jobless and all
Yeah, likely 6 digits, still a lot of hours in it. 6 digits isn't all too much in some states. Very clever move from him.
It's became a moronic forced meme (aren't they all?) for whatever reason.
demolitionist wienertail bros ww@
standing by
god I wish poe had a training dummy, torchlight infinite and grim dawn both have one. testing obscure shit would be so much easier.
>testing obscure shit would be so much easier
This is probably the whole reason poe doesn't have one
bro your third party dps calculator PoB?
your third party filter generator?
your third party logout macro?
your third party trade discord?
so fvcking zased
>no mortars
Do you even 'Nam?
Another question: In which order the buffs get applied in Kymon's Blade? Does the weapon damage get converted into lightning damage and then it enjoys the 12% weapon damage buff or does it apply the 12% weapon damage buff as physical first and then convert it to lightning damage.
146 physical damage X 1.2 or
146 lightning damage X 1.2
https://www.grimtools.com/db/items/12746
it just converts all damage to lightning and then adds the 12% weapon damage to the already xx% weapon damage EoR has. So if your EoR is at rank 24 it'll have 36% weapon damage, that blade will just raise it to 48% weapon damage. You can see what your weapon damage is in your stat windows 2nd tab
>all damage to lightning
all physical damage to lightning*
flat -> conversion (only once) -> percent bonus
Anyone make any new HC characters for 1.2? Currently got an Archon, hit level 100. Heading towards the Forgotten Gods content. I love lightning but I am fed up that most 94 gear I have found is majorly vitality based. Not a single Ultos piece yet.
ultos is so boring. make
or a spin2win cyclone archon instead
How much difference does like 100 armor make? I have a lvl 40 soldier with full guardsman set and I'm loathe to drop the set bonuses but a lot of individual items are starting to look like it'll be worth it
If you have other sources of damage reduction you can skimp really hard on armor
Thanks guys, much appreciated. I suppose I'll keep an eye on resistances more than anything else and only switch to different pieces once I see survivability tank
Armor is neglectebile.
>Damage
>+ to skill
>E. Resistance is important
I have resistances (exkl aether) maxed around lv 45. From there you only check if drop is better in terms of damage or +skill.
Nah it makes a pretty big difference when you graduate from 100-300ish armour pieces to the big boy ones with 2000+
The way armour works is that it will block 70% of damage lower than the armour value (by default), so 100 armour is the difference of 70 damage.
Interesting.
You can raise the % of your effective armor with compnents and some passives
Armor applies last after all other reductions iirc, losing 100 armor probably won't get you killed
Each armor slot has it's own armor rating. Losing 100 on one piece is pretty meaningless, losing 100 average would require big damage gains to offset it.
>Want to do a playthrough and do some grindan
>Kind of want to wait for new DLC to play new class instead
Given how long they stalled 1.2's release, it's probably not worth waiting.
Prolly. I just need to decide what to play.
I've never actually played Soldier. What's a good combo with them?
Soldier just werks with everything since most of their shit is weapon damage based
Cadence with a gun gets you a fricking huge piercing shot every 3rd attack, or Forcewave or Blade Arc are pretty easy to build around
Guess I'll do some looking around. I was thinking Nightblade or Demo but both could probably be pretty cookie cutter.
I had fun with my physical cadence Warlord.
Have nightblade for passives and mainly 2h soldier skills. Put a lot into spirit for amulets aso. Game is laughably easy all of a sudden.
How viable is a pet build? Like necro with the wood dude and the golem thing
Works fine, becomes total autopilot when you get your pet's resistances sorted out at endgame
Pet builds are so strong the devs keep nerfing them. You have to go all-in on them though, no hybrid allowed.
You can cheat a little with player scaling pets from the Blood Knight set and the Reaper constellation
