Anyone played it?
Its on sale and I have a itch for more harvest moon.
For the record I really liked the snes and N64 one and enjoyed the remake of mineral town also.
I need opinions, thats what you do right?

Any reason why you think is not that good?
      Characters? map? mechanics? MOOD?

Shallow I'd say. The maps, characters, and whatnot do have that feeling fullness say A Wonderful Life or Animal Parade has.

    It's decent. I bought it 3 times.
Get it on sale. It'll scratch that itch.

Enjoy littering your farm with like a million different kinds of makers. It isn't as bad as it used to be though, they added a patch to let you queue more materials in them after people complained about spending all their time babysitting them because you could only put one mats worth in at a time

And I think you have to finish the town's development to unlock the multi harvest ability right?
I just litter the first area with makers.

From a design standpoint, HM after BTN (With the exception of AWL maybe) are completely different game than SNES and 64.

      >HM after BTN
Yes, I played them (almost) all
I really miss the mysterious mood of the snes one like you wouldnt know, Not knowing what the next day would bring was the best part.
The wandering pedler knocking at your door, or the storm breaking that tree...
      Good times

I think it's more about the games trying to tell a story vs. minmax-ing everything on a farm that goes on forever. Time limits should return in HM

It's ok, I played it before they unfricked the games shit and was disappointed at how lacking in content the cast were, but the farm improvement and attempts to get max rank crops and animals, and gain fat stacks was addicting for a time

    >the mainline games have become so lame after AWL that an indie dev with free time managed to beat them at their own niche
