1. It's splatoon without the main reason people play splatoon (cute squid characters)
2. That color pallet is now cursed. Even normies will see those colors and associate it with the annoying weirdos known as transexuals and ignore it.
3. Playstation exclusive lmao
>1. It's splatoon
it isn't though, it doesn't have nearly as good of a concept as the ink mechanics
I wouldn't expect this shithole to understand anything about gamedesign but splatoon's core gameplay is legitimately genius and you can't just attempt to copy it and expect to be successful, doesn't work like that
>but splatoon's core gameplay is legitimately genius and you can't just attempt to copy it and expect to be successful, doesn't work like that
Well yeah, that's why Square failed. Doesn't help that they tried jumping on the splatoon train way, way, WAAAAY too late.
What game genre is Splatoon? I know is a team base TPS, but, there is something more specific for it?
t. moron that hasn't played the game, only came to laugh at Square Enix
It's a very bad idea to know at all times where the enemy is at. What's the point of the foam? Imagine if in splatoon you could see the silhouettes of the enemy team at all times.
These are characters in Splatoon. Do you notice how they don't look like metaverse avatars and have their own unique designs? >But Foamstars has a unique style, it isn't realistic!!!
No it looks like every other Western game that tries to be "cartoony." Take half this roster and put them in overwatch and they'll look right at home, and vice versa.
Splatoon's aesthetic is unironically the biggest draw to it, if you can't figure that out you're off to an awful start
Nothing. Everything.
Give a wild guess, idiot troon.
there was like 500 dollar worth of DLC day one.
>m*le characters
>ps5 exclusive
They shouldve known better

if they actually tried to copy it, it wouldn't have been so bad.

TPS/platformer hybrid I'd say, lots of 3D platformer elements in the game (even outside of the singleplayer campaigns)
gameplay was sluggish
aposematic flag colors

echolocator was fricking great
For me? Probably not enough actual interesting looking characters aside from Soa. Wtf is that *smack lips* character and green trapper dude?
They made a multiplayer game with niche appeal in the era of dickriding hype beasts.
They wanted to bait the splatoon audience by trying to hook in the overwatch audience.

A distinct lack of Marie.
sony funded. they lost no money on it
Foamstars is a great game tbh, not sure what people have against it
It looks like AI art.
Not on PC, where multiplayer success stories are born.
Not enough dev time. If they gave it another year and the focus was more on the co-op mode it would have been pretty alright.
Fortnite art style for one
>ynr Snoys saying this would kill Splatoon
no, i don't
They literally did during the showcase

Not a Splatoon guy but I can say with certainty that black hair girl is superior.
Sorry, anon. You're not just wrong, you're criminally wrong.
Those are some pretty generic character designs.
Splatoon but ugly.
Why developers dont think art direction is important?
