But I will say for starters giving Captain Boomerang a speed force gauntlet (made by Doctor Sivana of all people, really?) was dumb. In comic continuities he's just tapped into it like Barry, only using it for his throwing arm. It was just a bullshit excuse to give him a repetitive traversal gimmick rather than do something fun with his namesake
Okay so they extrapolated a dumb comic book hook to justify a gameplay mechanic, which is more import. I'm failing to see the issue.
The issue is Captain Boomerang's gimmick can be incredibly fun for combat, yet they chose instead to reduce it to a warped traversal mechanic in favor of GUNS. There should be a flurry of boomerangs bouncing around, catching to throw again, cutting enemies up or exploding depending on the type. There's no creativity here.
I was kind of surprised to see all the character mostly just use guns. Like you'd expect it for Deadshot but all the other characters have more recognizable weapons but no they just default to guns

King Shark is technically a demigod and their biggest heavy hitter, so in theory he should be able to scratch Clark. But again, that's under ideal circumstances.

In terms of stolen tech, you're thinking of Captain Cold, or one of the other Rogues. Captain Cold stole a cold engine capable of slowing down atoms/energy itself thanks to The Cold Field., which is useful when fighting The Flash. The Cold Field also stops bullets and such.

This and Darktide are the most mind boggling games for me. It's just inconceivable that studios full of people, spending years working on something could come up with those games as a concept. The succession of utterly moronic decisions you have to make, when working within settings that have so many amazing options for games, and you end up with a selection of the most worthless, forgettable set of villains, none of them have any abilities to even build gameplay around, fighting the heroes you actually want to be playing, in a superhero game where everyone uses guns etc. it's just mental. Truly, the peak example of everything that has gone wrong with AAA studio game design and development over the years.
Darktide is conceptually fine, playing as nobodies becoming somebodies in the inperium is a solid concept. The problem is they abandoned the character writing of Vermintide and them released a barely functional mess that was flat out unfun to play beyond a few hours.
