pretty uninformed take. morrowind has far more role playing options than any of the subsequent games, and you could practically go anywhere and do anything at any point in the game. the towns and characters also felt fairly down to earth compared to most fantasy rpg games. complain about the combat for the millionth time if you want

I tried Chrono Trigger and it was just shit. Casualised bullshit, you could beat the game blind by just mashing the highest-damaging spell. ATB is the worst thing to happen to JRPGs, much like RTwP to CRPGs. Add onto that simplistic, underdeveloped story and characters, and you've got a kusoge with very few redeeming values on your hands

Majora's Mask, for decades people talked about FFVI, OOT, RE4, FFVII & Soulcalibur as the best games of all time. Nobody gave a flying frick about majora mask until the EgoRaptor video and Creepypasta bullshit
It has extremely well done world building, characterization, side characters and side questing. Far better than OOT in that regard, it fails in terms of main game structure (dungeons, music, storyline, pacing, level design)
