at the moment I'm playing tomb raider legend and it fricking sucks, but I want to finish the legend trilogy, so it's not like I'll keep playing it indefinitely. I'm ok with playing shit games (specially old ones) just to see what they're about, but anything longer than 20 hours is a waste of time.
the Legend Trilogy has the weird feelings where it has some genuinely like bad or shallow design features, but it either never lasts long enough, or is so frequent, that you'd just stop playing. So it instead hangs over you as this cloud of "This doesn't really feel that fun? But it's also not that bad I guess? I should keep going and see what it has to offer" People always call the games "fine" or "fun" but they're a waste of time because it's inoffensive, but it's still like bad and mediocre. So you're just going through an experience the entire time that realistically you'd want to stop normally but can't bring yourself to because it's just "supposed to be okay and fun"
That's how i feel about the games. And no section of the game reaffirms this more than the bike chase or whatever.
It's called discipliine.

Skyrim on Survival Mode as an Argonian Mage. Holy FRICK is the constant "ur cold :-DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD" health reduction annoying. I had to do the 1st Alduin fight a couple of times because if you don't stun-lock him with Dragonrend constantly he starts flying around which causes you to just die from exposure. The only way to make the fight manageable is to track down fire salts so you can craft hot soups (no other soups count btw) and do it during the day. Also am I just moronic or are better spells weirdly rare compared to Oblivion? Like I've been using novice spells for most of the 15 hours of playtime and even the fireball spell that I got from the mages college is barely any better.
Without mods, Destruction magic doesn't scale with skill. It only gets better for the AI because they get shitloads of raw health per level internally, when you only get like +10.
