    2 come to mind
    >AC Rogue
Halfway through the game I had that moment of why am I playing this shit, I hadn't even enjoyed AC in awhile.
    >Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
Was about 40 hours in and saw an article about how the developer speedrun, that is story only, was 40 hours long, dropped it right there.

      >Assassin's creed Rogue
      how, literally how
that game is like 5 hours long and it's a successor to Black Flag which is unironically one of the best games ever made, how the frick aren't you finishing it.

frick Ganker you're all so fricking ungamer and gay.

        What's wrong with Bayonetta 3?
I've never played Bayonetta and of the action genre I've only played the DMC games sans the reboot and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1.

The beginning is great, and speedrun strats make the rest of the game palatable from one of the ESR runs I saw a year or two ago.

      But RTS parts are great.

Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus: it was a braindead button masher and bored me so much I only played it a few hours before dropping it for good
The Witcher: when the MC was sent to help with the logistics for a marriage ceremony on a town I couldn't take it anymore; I realized I don't like WRPGs.
Scarlet Nexus: on top of the combat sections being dull and repetitive, you had to go through several hours of cutscenes and walking around like a cretin before the game (an action game) let you play the action parts.
Hyperdimension Neptunia rebirth 1: one of the cheapest and more simplistic JRPGs I've played so I couldn't play it after a couple hours.
Code of Princess: when enemies became damage sponges because the game expects you to grind. Did I mention it's supposedly a beat'em up?
Soul Hackers 2: it was so dull and repetitive I couldn't keep playing after finishing the first metro tunnels dungeon. Apparently said dungeon is reused several times more so I didn't want to stay and see it by myself.

I would claim that I need to stop playing anime games, but besides the above I've enjoyed the ones I've played. I just need to listen to my gut more.

Witcher 1 might be one of the hardest games to get into solely because of its quest systems and controls so i dont blame you

Octopath Traveler. The dynamic of eight different characters is just dull when they barely feel connected at all other than formalities. Persona 5 has better and more diverse dialogue walking around Mementos than Octopath has during the entire game.

Its because most of the games by the Bravely team fall apart the moment you either get halfway or near the end

Granted i didnt touch Octopath 2 so maybe it for once fixes the problems?

Like sure the graphics are cool and I liked the gameplay but the loop of:
        >visit area for each character chapter
        >do three (3) tasks
        >fight boss
        >leave
Got really fricking old. I didn't play 2 either. morons just love EPIC GRAPHICS!!! so it somehow got a pass. How do you manage to have eight characters and have none of them be compelling?

All the minecraft spinoffs completely fail to hold my attention compared to the actual game

I tried minecrap legends on game pass and it really cant decide if it wants to be pikmin or a deeper strategy game and is a weird inbetween that kids probably wouldnt even like anyway

BotW. I was hyped and tried to so hard to like that game. Started out well, but became such a boring slog of a chore a while after the Plateau. God I hate what Zelda has become.

      Same anon
I played all the way till the 3rd divine beast but all the while I was thinking how much I miss old zelda games
New zelda focuses way too much on its shitty combat and 'creative' approaches but falls flat at what makes zelda games good
The puzzles, story and sense of progress and adventure whenever you enter a new dungeon
Its like they saw dark souls and ubisoft games and were like 'yes...this is what our audience wants'

    Genshin Impact

Love the game, but there's always going to be another banner and something to grind.
