Without stagger, extra damage or anything to buff the str weapon, the dex weapon will out dps because str weapons cannot capitalize on smaller openings, while dex weapons can. They only have the same dps on a training dummy that does nothing

The fights are some of the best if not the best in manga. I guarantee 95% of posters on Ganker only read shitty 240p scanlations instead of the actual books
Yeah I checked out the Dark Horse books from the library myself. Viewing that art in in printed form is probably far better than a scan from the late 90's/ealry 00's

The Deluxe editions are so nice. I really gotta get round to picking up more of them.
I bought the first one and while the size and print was good the quality of the binding was really fricking bad for how much they charge for them. maybe I just got a bad one though.
I'd be more interested in hearing what Hieronymous Bosch would think. MC Escher also drew a lot of cartoony and monsterous things that look right at home in early D&D, so he might appreciate some of it too.

the realm where they meet the Godhand in Berserk is just a giant tribute to Escher. I'm not sure if there's many Bosch references though, maybe some of the demons during the Eclipse

Apparently he just worked all day. Didn't really take much time off, just spent pretty much all his time painting. So there wasn't much "off canvas" time.
It is not even the best in its own genre of overrated edgy slop. Both Blade of the Immortal and Vagabond are objectively better when it comes to fights.
Actual god tier fights(i.e. Negi vs Rakan, Gensai vs Agito, Ragna vs Artemisia) completely blow Berserk fight out of the water.
