I'm about to play this game. Pretty nervous about it based on what I've heard from Ganker it's braindead easy casual slop that is extremely simplistic and not even actually allowing for creativity at all. I'm just trying to play something different, because I haven't been enjoying videogames recently so it'd be really mind breaking if the game ended up being disappointing but frick it. I already bought it, so I'm hail marying it

From how often Ganker talks about the game being brain-dead easy and then posturing that they played on the highest difficulty, I'll probably just go for the second highest difficulty instead. There MUST be something wrong with the highest if every moron that plays it says there's no resource management or challenge, even though they praise SS2 which literally has a portable recycler and you get far more OP later on.
Just hope it's survival horror aspects hold up long enough.

I don't get all the hated for Prey, I thought it was pretty good and I liked the atmospheric horror a lot, of course the ending was clearly rushed but the first half of the game was good.

You're delusional. It definitely couldn't work as an isometric game, but I always thought it should be Third Person rather than first. Just feels right when I think of exploration and sandbox in general, It's much nicer to actually see your character doing the stuff but maybe that's just me.
