What game purchases do you regret the most?
For me it's easily Diablo 4. I knew nu-blizzard was shit and that none of the old devs worked there anymore, but still bought into the hype. Now the game is barely fixed and they already announced a paid expansion.
Nu hitman, that shit sucked so much fricking ass
Brink was pretty terrible. Fallout 4 sucked ass too.
Factorio.
is it because you are a brainlet or because you wasted thousands of hours on it?
I have developed a crack addiction with out ever taking crack
None.
I don't buy bad games. If I'm not sure I will pirate.
Get some taste so you will able to make decisions based on taste
Recently AC6. I thought I’d get a lot more out of it but I didn’t enjoy it hardly at all.
I almost bought it, but then it was cracked on day 1 so I pirated it. Really glad I did. It's not a bad game, but also not worth 60 bucks.
Probably Diablo 4 too. I dont know what I expected but surely not a Jailor 2.0 with breasts
Overwatch
I got memed to buying it by friends and I hated it
pokemon ultra moon
the last one i ever bought
i haven't even bothered pirating most of their other games since
Didn't buy it, but I dropped it after like 4 hours when it became obvious that the game would never really let you play.
i thought that you guys were just talking shit because you got filtered, but this is legitimately everything i don't want to see in a game combined
Guess you got filtered
Yes, the fourth crawling in a vent section in a row made me realize i wasted my money
Bro, what do you mean, the total aggregated time for those sections is only equal to like an hour and a half. That's pretty good for contemporary AAA!
Monster Hunter Rise
I had enough fun with world but by the time I got around to Sunbreak I never wanted to touch modern monhunny again.
>Diablo 4
The most recent one I could think of. Shit had to have been made by interns and junior devs. Such a janky piece of shit.
I switched back to D3 when the last season started and it's really hard to fathom just how much better it feels to play. It's like night and day.
I made a habit of not preordering games prior (became a rule after ZTD, saved me from Payday 3), and made an exception for this as I wanted the preorder bonus watch having enjoyed the first 2 games. The preorder frickups were handled so badly by both Amazon and Aksys that I could rant about the preorder frickups for an hour, and that's not an exaggeration.
Then the game shat the bed for the series too by setting up for a 4th game when it barely got a 3rd (ZTD) after an indefinite development hiatus, while not concluding several of the 2nd (VLR) game's set up plot points.
SEVEN YEARS AND I'M STILL MAD.
MGSV
Incidentally this was the last time I actually got hyped for a game
I think Brink was the first game I was genuinely disappointment having purchased.
I got the $100 Starfield edition
Elden Ring by a landslide. Wouldn't have been so bad if it was at 30 bucks or something, but at full price it was absolutely not worth it.
I think I've never played a game where my opinion on it changed so much during playing it. 20-30 hours in I think ER was legit one of the best games I ever played. After finishing it I think it's worse than DS2.
why would you admit that you have no opinions of your own?
Same experience really. I was having the time of my life at the start, but slowly along the way it just went south, not an immediate nosedive, but gradually getting more shitty as you progressed. You can tell that this is one of those "super big games" where the later areas lack the same amount of polish as most of the first areas.
There where some outliers though, like the area before malikth or whatever his name was, that area was actually amazing and felt like a proper souls area again.
Then you get to arguably one of the most bullshit bosses ever created in a souls game.
Exploration being "rewarded" with dogshit low level soul pick ups and nascent butterfly x1000 got so grating. To the point I knew exploring was a waste of my fricking time. Like, why couldn't they give the crimson butterflies? You know, something useful for all the moronic rot spam everywhere?
And don't get me started on "Poison Swamp Super Saiyan 4!!!"
That was when I knew, with 100% certainty, that I wouldn't replay this game
When you first start playing you're collecting regents for crafting, enticed by the idea of discovering settlements and friendly NPCs, day/night events, important over world encounters, you’re completely convinced that “it won’t be more of the same”
Then by the time you reach Rennala you realize that, yes, they really did just make Demon’s Souls with a different coat of paint yet again where all you do is hold forward and kill enemies
Alone in the dark the one on the 360, from the first few minutes I know this shit isn't for me.
The Wii U, ten years ago, was probably the stupidest and worst gaming purchase I ever made.
E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy
I love the setting, but the level design is boring.
I like the plot, but often times it feels slapped on.
The gameplay is good, but you kill the same handful of enemies.
The mechanics are neat, but there's only a few times where you use them.
I don't necessarily regret buying this game because it was only a dollar, but sometimes I wish I bought something else.
I bought the dlc for Skyrim Anniversary edition and just played a couple hours.
The new content is way too overpowered.
Battleshit Remastered... believed the hype. What a garbage game
Starfield, really didn’t enjoy it and kinda bought into the hype.
i bought shadowlands and didn't even finish the main quest line
i think i got to shadowlands and stopped playing
worst expansion ever
nevermore thanks God im free from wow
regret pre-ordering FFXV
I wasn't expecting an Early Access game for a game worked on for 10 years
>he buys games
oh no no no no no no no no
Probably Kenshi.
I am not autistic enough for it.
You can skip the grind with 5x EXP rate mods or just open the FCS that comes with it to fool around with god stats. I can't imagine anyone going through the early game grind more than once if at all.
Thank
like 20 usd on hero wars
Spore
Recently Remnant 2. Biggest regret was an import Naruto game on Gamecube. I'm from EU and 15 at the time and we didn't get this shit. Bought it for 20 euros over full retail and had to invest in a Freeloader to unfrick region locking. Ultimately the Freeloader paid off when I used it for other games but this hurt.
I have a hard time thinking of a single game I bought that I wish I hadn't.
For Honor. I even bought the deluxe edition. Granted i was intoxicated when i did
I pirated Far Cry 3 and beat the campaign then bought it full price on Steam to play MP before realizing the MP meh. Only played it for like an hour but this was before Steam's 2 hour refund window was introduced.
Also spent like 500+ dollars on War Thunder shit back when that game was fun and WW2/early Cold War-based, but the last like 5+ years of updates have been predominantly modern shit that isn't balanced around the shorter ranged WW2 maps/mechanics and it just plays like shit. 2 plane stabs, darts, and modern jets/helicopters frickin ruined that game, and all the fricking npc casuals eat that modern warfare slop up.
Also reminder that sseth is a fricking casual pussy b***h for only playing arcade and recommending everyone else do as well. Like turning Gran Turismo into Hotwheels Turbo Racing.
*Which
every game I ever played. I have video game addiction.
same game, i still feel so stupid because i've been hating nu-blizz for years and still got the ultimate edition to play early. not only that, to make things worse i'm unemployed so money is extremely tight, what a fricking waste
The last game I bought was in 2005 so I don't remember.
Starbase
30 bucks stolen for early early tech demo bullshit thats been left for dead
Would have been better off paying for starmade premium lmfao
bought sea of thieves to play it with my friends, too bad that they are all turbo-normies that always jump on the newest AAA shit so we ended up never playing it as they are constantly occupied by some fps or by fricking fifa. I never even opened it ffs, and neither did they
I've got a friend that does something similar. Gets us to buy some game, we play it for a session or two, then grinds it alone and burns himself out before we can get together again. Fricking obnoxious. Wonders why we don't game with him much anymore lol
yeah thanfully with my buddies it was an isolated incident, but for the most part our tastes are really different so we can't find a game to stick to together long term
>I knew nu-blizzard was shit and that none of the old devs worked there anymore
you deserve it for giving money to nu-blizzard homosexual
