I have always tested INTJ and got really wrapped up in that classification, until I realized
it's all just glorified astrology for "intellectuals", and trying to boil down every person to one of just sixteen cleanly separated personalities makes no sense. Everyone is a complicated blend of traits that will never fit cleanly into a single category. For example, even though I've always gotten INTJ, my passion is writing dramatic literary fiction. It doesn't match my personality type at all, but it's something I'm good at even though I shouldn't be, according to the Myers-Briggs test.

It's not even the same topic as jungian psychology, which is about archetypes and a system of personalities, that Kermitson knows very well, while the Big 5 is like behavioural or something. Well the issue is that even 5 too many to form a broad based test. Only 3 traits seem shared between many cultures and languages. They are extraversion, agreeableness, and conscientiousness. Adding more types than that starts to get into more culture and racial divisions than is useful for a broad test for use worldwide.

The problem is thats its a binary scale. If you had some test and 100 is extremely extroverted and 0 is extremely introverted, and one guy scores 52 on one test and 48 on another. He gets lumped in two completely different groups. The Big Five system works a lot better since it uses better axes and uses a 0-100 scale instead of binary

Finally getting the hang of Rimworld. I was trying a tribe run for a while but couldn't get past mining some steel and building beds, then some minor inconvenience would absolutely annihilate my tribe. Now I'm playing the classic Rimworld with the three survivors and it's going very well, I have five colonists now and they're thriving.
I was playing Crusader Kings 2 before that, as the king of Sussex, but got fricked by RNG. I'll play again if I want some mindless relaxing fun.
Otherwise I've been emulating PS2 and Gamecube cames from my childhood, mainly the Sims (2 and Urbz) but the emulators are unstable and it kinda pisses me off.
Still gotta continue Baldur's Gate 3 but this game is too powerful for me, just when I nut the game keeps sucking and it's making my brain go weird. Some night when I'm awake (I'm a good boi, I go to bed early), energised, with a stock of fresh beers, maybe a joint or two, I'll continue the game.

Primarily by going to intent. The psychoanalyst intends to create a completely mystical dogma that only he and his fellow initiates "understand" which distinction they use to elevate their social standing and denigrate or institutionalize critics. Going against that would be "heretical" internally.
An outsider though, might actually apply the framework consistently and in a repeatable way. They would be more likely to approach it with some actual scientific rigor or interest in creating something with utility, since their purpose is not to set themselves up as some kind of holy man.

The trve thinker understands that his instincts have been honed by millenia of human experience. You should understand your environment and think about each option, but unless empirically proven wrong, go with your guts.
I'm hearing you, and I agree intuition is extremely valuable. But the testing threshold between S and N is thin enough in my experiences that just caring about whether you're first thought is right or not is enough to swing it.
Sure, there's plenty of genuine dumbshits who rote-memorize their way through compulsory education without grasping a single concept, and just do the official "correct" thing in every scenario. And I hate those people too. But the N end is also choked with pontificating weirdos whose intuitions are built on dogshit anime they watched or crackpot books they read with no attachment of any kind of reality who lack the intellectual interest to test or develop their intuitions and just get angry that no one understands their gay, wrong, entirely uninformed theory of everything when they haven't even made the attempt to be right or even comprehensible. And I hate those people too.
Alls I'm saying is have some compassion for your S brothers. Many of them DO think. Many of them ARE player characters, and it's legit easier to reach them than extreme Ns if you're willing to speak their language.

This shitty test can never decide if i'm a INTJ or INTP. All i know for certain is that i couldn't care less about "analyzing" shit or "having a thirst for knowledge". I just hate being around people, especially overly emotional ones and spend half my time daydreaming.
Also i'm playing the system shock remake right now. It was pretty good until i reached maintenance.

The test is inaccurate because a lot of you lie to get your Ganker approved types.
That's a problem with the person taking the test, not the test itself. No test is immune to fake answers.
The problem when it comes to the test is that a lot of questions could be answered either way, or in some cases neither is an appropriate answer. So you just have to guess which is closer to what's actually your answer, rather than what's accurate.
It's on the test taker to try and understand what the questions are really asking for, instead of being a pick what you really want.
Being left up to interpretation is part of the test, though, and the fact of the matter is while no test is perfect it is up to the individual to figure out what is going on ultimately.
For example I'm an extremely extroverted individual, but I never leave my house. Why? Because I unfortunately live in an area where the women are all fat as frick, or meth heads. There's not much out there for me in this area. So while in reality I would answer "Yeah I hate people" on the test, the fact is I don't hate people but wish I was in a better environment.
A test shouldn't need to be interpreted, because that's what leads to people "faking" answers because what they're perceiving isn't accurate.
Tests are supposed to be standardized so the same type person should be answer the same way. But that's not the case.
I'm not in disagreement with you, however in the world of psychology and all that it isn't the case.
You would reel at the horrors that are the "standarized" NCE testing to become a therapist. There are like 300 questions total and like 60 of them are thrown out automatically and you have to pass with 86 right answers or more meaning 60 of those questions could be ones you got right, but it don't fricking matter. On top of that all the questions are interpretive shit.
It was a fricking nightmare.
There's a reason psychology and sociology is such a joke.
Still get a laugh how I randomly look a senior level psych course for shits n giggles because i needed to stay full time, and i fricked the curve because everyone there is a bumbling moron.
