Hmm, as a GBC Connoisseur I recommend the following;
Simulation/Survival- esque games >Survival Kids 1 & 2 (2 requires fan translation) >Harvest Moon GB series >River King series + a gaiden pirate game (there’s a fan translation out there)
Platformers >Shantae >Bionic Commando >Mega Man Xtreme series >Wario Land series >Samurai Kid (fan translation) >Tomb Raider series >Wendy - Every Witch Way (made by the same people as Shantae)
Action >Blade (licenced game) >Daikatana (unironically a good game despite console version rep) >Resident Evil Gaiden >Perfect Dark >Metal Gear Solid (in my top 5)
Pokémon >All the games obviously, including the TGC2 fan translations. >Some hacks I recommend though; >Prism >Crystal Clear >Quarantine Crystal >Perfect Crystal >Orange >Fool’s Gold >Spaceworld demo remake
Other Monster Tamers (GBC had a lot of Pokemon Clones) >Telefang series (fan translation) >Robopon series (you can only find the Sun version rom online - Star doesn’t work that well) >Medabots series (fan translations) >Dragon Quest/Warrior Monster series. >Network Boukenki Bugsite series (fan translation but really great weird games) >Monkey puncher (again, really great)
Action RPGs >there’s quite a lot but I’d just recommend the Zelda games and a game called Crystalis. There’s also a star ocean game which is pretty good but requires you to have played the second game in the series to get the most out of.
RPGs >Harry Potter series (chamber of secrets is unironically one of the best games on the system and in my top 5) >Mario Tennis/Golf >Dragon Ball Z LSW >Dragon Warrior/Quest series (III in my top 5) >Lufia (probably the best RPG on the system just not a fan personally) >Azure Dreams (underrated but the console version is way better obviously) >All the SMT games for the system. >Grandia (fan translation)
They’re some of my favourites at least, I can reccomend you some home brew if you want and I didn’t include any GB games in my list.
There’s a lot of good homebrew games out there like I said OP, just some people aren’t really into it. Also I probably missed some gems because they’re not really my thing. Although, all the games I recommend are great imo.

Recommend some homebrew RPGs. That would interest me.
I’d recommend searching “gameboy rom” on itch.io. There’s literally thousands of homebrew. My favourite, while not strictly an RPG, is The Machine GBC. Incube8 have a great website where you can see high-quality games.
Spoonfeeding is not a commendable act. In fact it's probably the absolute worst thing you can do here. Most oldgays know this, so stupid questions get stupid answers, which is why his post is not only mostly off topic, but also full of shit games.
So you're a samegayging newbie that likes shit games and got offended, got it.

Why should I answer you if that means more low quality content such as the post you have made? Now youre begging to discuss off topic games. I would rather call you a moron.
You don't belong here, tourist, and your pitiful attempts at fitting in are fooling nobody.

I really hope the money you're getting from GCHQ is worth it because they certainly aren't building the world they hoped for with these laughable tactics.
Wait, what’s going on here bros? Are people really just trying to destabilise people on a fricking unpopular rpg section of an unpopular anime board? I’m dumb what’s the conspiracy?

The "conspiracy" is total total loss of freedom under the AI excuse.
Oldgay here, you're a fricking moron. Yes, requests for sauce are annoying, but the absolute b***hes that whine about people sharing knowledge are infinitely worse. kys, homosexual
>that huge list >mostly monster catching games with many being hacks >the rest is far worse ports of games for other systems >left out the handful of actual good gbc rpgs
Oh no it has brain damage, like all handheld fans. What's the point of these dumb request threads when you can get better answers in 2 seconds from Google? All these threads do is proliferate people with moronic questions and equally moronic answers.
Wasn't depressed until I saw this awful thread, of which I am sure there will be plenty more of now that you've enabled it.

Let's just fill the entire catalogue with "what are some games for X?" Just tons of low engagement repetitive and uninteresting threads for people too dumb to contribute to discussion in a meaningful way that way to feel like their helping. Perhaps you will finally find that le hidden gem you'll never play anyways.

Come on, anon.
Nobody is gonna believe that one.
Quest: Brian's Journey isn't amazing, but it's a pretty faithful remake of the 64 game except with an actual plot with cutscenes and character interactions.
If you are out for physical copies, beware as there was another gameboy game branded with "Quest", except it was just a reskinned puzzle game. I was pissed when I accidentally bought the puzzle game years ago, especially since I previously had tried to buy the GBC port of Dragon's Lair, only to learn there was a knock off "Dragon's Lair" that was a reskin of a crappy platformer. I never expected to get fricked like that twice in a row.
