It was just dice being bored of battlefield and doing something fun instead. I don't know if they ever intended this to even be more than a short sp romp through rooftops.
they made the MC ugly on purpose and no one wanted to play it
people pointed it out but it is still good actually.
climbing the tallest building was the best part of the game and had the true fun element that was in the first game. I still like this game, if you are a fin of the first one(I don't understand why you wouldn't be) you would like the second one.
One of the best theme songs out there.
Game was released too early, it would've been perfect if it was released now. It's an easy game and zoomers have no brain.
This. I gauged where the studio was for the time and knew the game wasn't going to be any better than the first. I was right. To this day, I still don't even know what the gameplay looks like because no one has ever posted a clip.
The frick is this? Is this a troll? Why would you ever pay money for a game, let alone an EA game, let alone one nearly two decades old where not a single dev will see anything from your money?
First one was kino, then they shat the bed with the second one making it a reboot with half of the story locked behind a fricking comic book, mixed with some boring open world garbage. Only the part that weren't open world were okay like the final level.
What do you mean what's after that? It's a released single player game, play the game or frick off.
It's not an MMO that releases new content constantly.
nothing, it flopped and got middling reviews, which means EA couldn't be bothered anymore so the IP is dead.
It's a sheer miracle we even got a game like the first one out of a company like DICE.
Original was simple and fun
Second game added on upgrades and overcomplicated it
I wonder if someone went back and added RTX support for the first game
They had to add something new to the second game otherwise people will say that they didn't add anything new to the second game.
They didn't want to overcomplicated it.
Would you even be able to go back and add raytracing on a UE3 game? I think RTX Remix only works on fixed function hardware-based renderers.
But even then it's not like it's going to matter since all of the lighting is already baked to extremely high quality around the idea of global illumination, and the environments are almost entirely static. Though with raytracing they'd finally be able to add actual lighting to all of the PhysX cloth.
the producer for the OG Mirror's Edge is doing Deathsprint 66, indies are doing Supermoves, dying light 2 is getting patched...we're eating good parkourbros.
>is doing Deathsprint 66, indies are doing Supermoves
when are any of these getting released, and how many of them actually understand the slow paced almost tomb raider esque "look around and find where to go" platforming puzzles.
Just having a female character who can win over men isn't w*ke moron.
Faith wasn't quipping after kills, making out with her lesbian lover in-between levels, going on tangents about men, or anything of the sort.
And EA insisted on the combat, so blame them, not DICE.
homies didn’t buy it
i wanna frick faith
Sorry I already claimed her
EA shit it up like they did every IP they've ever touched.
Guns never should have been useable
>Guns never should have been useable
Catalyst removed them and people hated Catalyst even more.
Name a better parkour game.
Dying Light
Dying Light is boring in everything else but parkour. 2 is worse from what I've seen.
Doesn't matter, they're both definitively better than both Mirror's Edge games.
Nah u trippin lol Mirrors Edge is much much better than that shit
You can't drop kick zombies in Mirror's Edge
You can do that on humans.
that is catalyst moron
the guns aren't the problem, it's the combat. faith should be weak and only able to run
>EA shit it up
By giving morons the open world they thought they wanted. You honestly brought this on yourselves.
>implying
as soon as they revealed it was open world I lost all interest.
It was just dice being bored of battlefield and doing something fun instead. I don't know if they ever intended this to even be more than a short sp romp through rooftops.
It's another mediocre niche title that made no money and died, but Ganker acts as if it's some achievement in gaming. Same thing as Gravity Rush.
It was ok.
First one wasn't some big hit either. It just lacks mass appeal because it's hard to sell a game where all you do is run on buildings.
First one was popular and successful and the reason why EA made ME catalyst.
They went woke and made the main character trans
they tried to ruin the second game very hard as
people pointed it out but it is still good actually.
climbing the tallest building was the best part of the game and had the true fun element that was in the first game. I still like this game, if you are a fin of the first one(I don't understand why you wouldn't be) you would like the second one.
Didn't they also wienerblock you from all fun movement abilities by introducing a level up system?
bruh look at this dood
Why is she in the indian street squatting position?
they made the MC ugly on purpose and no one wanted to play it
Why did EA even fund development if they were just gonna shadowdrop it with literally no marketing like Titanfall 2?
It was marketed extensively, especially here.
One of the best theme songs out there.

good taste fren
trooned out and died
first game was good though
This. I gauged where the studio was for the time and knew the game wasn't going to be any better than the first. I was right. To this day, I still don't even know what the gameplay looks like because no one has ever posted a clip.
It happened.
First game wasn't open world, Sequels rarely get buy in from people who don't play the first.
It didn't sell well so the franchise was over.
when is the first game going to go on sale so I can finally play it, and decide whether it's an underrated gem
The frick is this? Is this a troll? Why would you ever pay money for a game, let alone an EA game, let alone one nearly two decades old where not a single dev will see anything from your money?
I know that that guard can be kicked and the game will still awards the pacifist run. Officially he is not dead.
It regularly goes on sale for less than a dollar

I don't know what it was about catalyst. I just enjoyed it way less than the original.
I didn't buy the sequel because they changed the look of the main character. She went from bing a qt to being a eww wtf burn it type of character.
I released years ago
What do you mean "what happened to it"?
>What do you mean "what happened to it"?
What is the current state of the game.
Released?
I know it was released a long time ago dude, I want to know what's after that.
Yeah it's still released.
What do you mean what's after that? It's a released single player game, play the game or frick off.

it was pretty fun
Kinda weird that no one call this woke despite starring a strong, asian female that needs no man.
Just having a female character who can win over men isn't w*ke moron.
Faith wasn't quipping after kills, making out with her lesbian lover in-between levels, going on tangents about men, or anything of the sort.

It is woke, in the original, pure interpretation.
ESG type misandry just shit everything up.
literally impossible
