um jammer lammy and a lot of kaizo smw hacks
Thracia. The capture system is shit.
not emulating right now but advance wars 1&2 and golden sun are always at the ready on any system I own that I can emulate on.
Dual Strike mogs AW1-2 so hard I lose any desire to play them at all, which is a shame
Just finished Dragon Quest 9, am now starting Rocket Slime
It really doesn't
Based golden Sun enjoyer gotta ask tho who's the better protagonist and game? Issac or Felix?
Felix by miles.
Mother 3
Unpopular Fact: GBA library sucks with the exception of a couple of great games, just like with the N64 and Super Nintendo
agreed. What are the games you consider worthwhile?
>Pokemon Emerald
>Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen
>Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga
>Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission
>Wario Land 4
>Minish Cap
>Golden Sun 1 and 2
>Mother 3
>Advance Wars 1 and 2
>Mega Man Zero
>Mega Man Battle Network
>Fire Emblem 6-8
>Aria of Sorrow
>FF Tactics Advance
All of these were good. Really the worst thing about the GBA was that it was loaded with SNES ports, some good but rarely superior to their original versions.
>Super Nintendo library sucks
no it doesn't
The Switch version of KoTOR on Steam Deck since the PC version does not have proper gamepad support and the ones people made are garbage.
Not at the moment. Plan to play fe path of radiance at some point
Currently playing Final Fantasy Adventure. It’s pretty great. I love the weapon and enemy variety.
I don't emulate anything at all, Mr. Anonymous on Ganker. I buy all of my games, even the retro ones. 🙂
Shining Force CD. Finally going through the gems I missed out on growing up.
was dabbling with SMTV last but i got bored somewhere around akihabara iirc.
started playing through all the final fantasy games just because I’m curious about the series, working my way through FF Dawn Of Souls on GBA. Getting pretty into FF1.
FF2 is very moronic...
You don't get XP from enemies, you level up HP from losing half your HP in a fight, and similar for other skills.
The most effective way of leveling up is hitting yourself repeatedly, it is a bizarre and stupid concept that was never used again for good reason. You will probably hate FF2, consider skipping straight to the SNES games or at least 3.
What filter is that?
>Hitting yourself for HP in 2
You did it wrong.
Persona 3 FES... on Retroarch
Yes I use the PCSX2 core on Retroarch and you can't stop me.
is there really no way to use retroarch shaders outside of retroarch? I know reshade exists but they're not all available right?
Completed Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare on PC. God bless Xenia devs for making them playable on my junk hardware.
On Android - Picrel (playing DKC2, completed everything else) + Pikmin 1 on Dolphin. Also finished Zelda OoS not a while ago via standalone Pizza Boy.
>Xenia
how much work is getting red dead redemption to run on a emulator?
didn't mean to greentext Xenia
Like zero work. You just download the emulator and the game, select the game rom path via emulator and it works. The only inconvenient thing is the lack of an actual menu for settings. If you want to enable/disable v-sync, or set the resolution other than default or enable anti-aliasing (more recommended, as the non-native resolution may lead to bugs) you change the config file via text editor. Other than that - no problems. Also you can find pre-made configs and patches if you want some extra optimization or fixes, but I just played as is.
Cool I'll look into that. Been looking for a way to replay this without having to buy a xbox or PS3 just for it
NTA but 360 emulation has seen some rapid progress in recent years. I'd say that if there's a compatible ROM for it I'd pretty much always recommend it over trying PS3 emulation.
I've been playing Pokémon Clover on Retroarch on Switch. It's the most fun I've had with a Pokémon game in a long time.
Jumping between Brain Lord and Lufia II
Decent games so far.
I've been trying radical red but I'm not enjoying it much

The Switch version of pic related, but it plays pretty badly with mouse and keyboard. So much so that I've even considered buying a controller for the first time in my life.
Pokemon XD
>XD
Back to Rèddit.
3h on RyuJinx
Mario 64
Guilty Gear Slash
just finished ff2
Just started DQ3 K. Mix
Aria of Sorrow with Alter romhack
I just finished FF4 recently. I got distracted from it when I tried a while back but I ran through it in a few nights and it was pretty great. I realized once I was about halfway into the game that I was hilariously underleveled (cecil was getting hit for half his health by random encounters, my party wasn't even all at 50 by the time I got to the final boss) and needed to lean on status effects and just generally have the casters step on the fricking gas and chug ethers. Turns out the combat is way better if you do less of it. Until I had to grind for an hour at the end anyway because my party wasn't even all at 50 by the time I got to the final boss
Mostly still the game i'm developing, but working on the audio driver(s) so no much in terms of visual improvement.
Pengin MegaMan. I like it anon keep up the good work.
>game has a penguin protagonist
I will now play your game
Don't forget to tell us when you release it, anon.
Of course i will
Metroid Dread. It was pretty good.
Drakengard. Got four endings so far, just need to get a few more weapons to unlock Chapter 13.
@FBI
@NINTENDO
mario galaxy 2
minish cap but i actually remember this game a lot more than i thought and now i kinda want to drop it. like i already know all the puzzle solutions so it's just not that fun anymore........
Rune Factory 3, it's my favorite from the series
Daytona USA on RPCS3
Replaying A Link to the Past, crazy how well it holds up
SNES for ROM hacks
>level 99
damn homie how long did that take
3 seconds with a hack, you mong. After I beat Doom Dragon fairly I went back into the pre-battle save, went into the debug room, and powerleveled everyone so I could save that and use it for battle arena. Also used the debug room to get the best shit. I thought fighting Star Wizard in the arena was a joke... it's not.
>i cheated
oh, cringe
FACTS
PREACH IT SISTER
GETTIN REAL SICK OF LOSERS WHO DON'T KNOW HOW TO GRIND IT OUT AND WANT EVERYTHING HANDED TO THEM
Just finished Zero 3, but honestly I'm feeling like replaying it with the Ultimate mode I unlocked instead of going to Zero 4 right now.
Xenoblade Chronicles DE, loving it so far. Didn't expect to find so many little things that makes it enjoyable to me personally.
Shining Soul 2, fun little Diablo clone. There's a multiplayer functionality but I've never seen anyone play this on netplay sadly.,
Been using SkyEmu to get non eye burning brightness, it helps immensely for Harmony of Dissonance.
Bro what the frick is that filter, turn that shit off.
Why can't we talk about the games instead of autistic shit like filters.
Have you played Shining Soul 2 anon? What do you think of it?
If you use save states while developing a game, does the game stop being a game?
ESL?
I keep hundreds of save states when working on translations so I don't have to keep playing the game over and over again to verify things. Still takes a long fricking time...
I don't think save states should be used in any context other than translating, and for games where it's lack of good checkpointing is a legitimate criticism against the game even back in the day.
>emulate
I play on original hardware only.
