No dude, if you dont have writing skills every game will be shit regardless of the setting you use. Its the shit AssCreed been doing and its always shit. Learn from the failure of Assassins Creed as a series that should have died out long ago but over stayed its welcome.
>fantasy RPG
No shit.
Plenty of games with Egypt settings or levels though >Shantae >Castle Crashers >PvZ 2 >Mario >bunch of RTS >Tomb Raider >Smite >WoW
there isnt a single fantasy RPG about gaul, babylonia, ireland, russia, or india etc., etc. either, but egypt is far more represented than either, and probably all of them combined.
Not him but I went there years ago to an oasis..there's this abandoned city that looks like a nice setting for a game. It was like a maze that we needed a guide for it.
Here's the place.https://youtu.be/FmLZtVqp1zU?si=7r4GVUJeXkqwWgEE
Every civilization in the original AoE is derivative of the same tech tree with even less expression for unique features than AoE II. You get things like Greeks centered around the Hoplite line and losing out on chariot units but it's a very surface-level dive compared to other games in the series.
>scythians
This, or steppe chads in general, not even the Mongols despite them being well known. You would've thought modern vidya devs would've made games about them considering they were proto liberals(at least Scythians and Turkics, Mongols were kinda chuddy) but no, they don't.
no, that part of the world was wioed out so effectively that even most commonly held knowledge about it amounts to little more than educated speculation at best.
considering that we know so fricking little about it compared to almost any other place, it is utilized quite often.
I never learned much about the Mongols. But why were they so good? I knew the Romans had their formations. But Mongols seems like vikings with no organization and just rape and pillage.
Black person everyone raped and pillaged in war. They still do. Vikings were organised in their raids which is why they were kicking everyone's ass for 300 years.
Anyway the mongols had extremely good soldiers that were both hardy and disciplined. Their mastery of horses meant they were far more mobile than anybody else, and their early generals were some of the best in history. Eventually they got control of China/Persia/Russia etc and then their dynasties all died of alcoholism.
They were extremely organized
They were really good at sieging in an age where everything was walled cities+castles, but if you went out to fight them they'd just run away on horses while pelting you with arrows, then come back and do it again.
They also had a meritocratic army, so you got promoted based on how good you were, like Subutai who was extremely based.
>But why were they so good? They were literally impossible in a form they were described
Nomadic mode of food production yields a tiny fraction of what sedentary farmers can grow. You can't raise a frick huge blob of death consisting of nomads.
Neither you can have an empire without writing system, fixed location of cities and towns, and system of mail used to govern the territory.
What most likely happened is a severe misinterpretation of what mongols were. Nomads are generally much more competent in warfare than basic farmers without organized military culture, and it often results in former assuming role of ruling class over latter. The most well studied example of that is China, something similar likely happened in Ottoman empire as well. However, nomads are few in number and quickly get either assimilated or thrown out by farmers after getting their shit together. This was most likely what happened in Russia, but then remaining information of it got distorted into a glorious battle against a mongol death blob.
>You can't raise a frick huge blob of death consisting of nomads
Somewhere between 100,000-200,000 mongols invaded the khwarazmian empire. That sounds like a frick huge blob of death to me.
So what do you think is more likely? >Mongols magically creating food to sustain hundreds of thousands people without organized farming and highly advanced logistical system out of thin air >Someone provided wrong information
So what do you think is more likely? >Mongols magically creating food to sustain hundreds of thousands people without organized farming and highly advanced logistical system out of thin air >Someone provided wrong information
the mongols conquered and taxed agrarian peoples for the SOLE PURPOSE OF GETTING MORE FOOD
the mongol empire was nomads fed by farmers
the reason it worked only when genghis showed up, was because he put an end to in-fighting
there was always plenty of food to go around to create massive nomad deathblobs that could conquer most of the known world
genghis just forced that fact down everyone's b***h throats
Because they succeeded only against falling Empire like China or low iq tribes like slavs.
They never conuered a real country as seen with Japan or Hungary.
Japan was absolutely about to get decimated by mongols, they got saved mostly by the fact that Mongol navy didn't know how to handle the turmulous Japanese sea which fricked them hard with several typhoons.
Japanese is an earthquake prone island country sitting on 4 tectonic plates, the word Tsunami is Japanese in origin, Japan was able to become an isolationist, mostly untouched country for majority of its history because it's western sea border was pure chaos for anyone trying to approach it.
They had something better than high walls They literally had a sea of death.
Kubkai Khan didn't even try very hard to take Japan most of the forces were auxiliary slave soldiers from Korea and China, the brunt of the empire was doing conquest Westside.
To fight over such a small, relatively resource-lacking island for nothing more than cheevo points was simply not a worthwhile endeavor att he time and the campaign was abandoned. Had the empire not fallen into disarray they'd have pummeled Japan like nothing.
>tfw they canonically jobbed to the Thai and Viet Minh respectively
Former cut off the feet of their emissaries and the later did the proto version of the Vietnam War without the napalm and boomer music. Horse archers aren't that OP when you have to navigate through thick jungles laced with tropical diseases.
Well to be fair for the mongols, tropical jungles are an overpowered geographical barrier ever since antiquity even up to the modern day. They're a death sentence for any unprepared invading army, even better than mountains in repelling hostile forces.
massed cavalry(both heavy and HA, commanding from behind in field battles(when Europe was still in warrior kings era), absolutely savage, murderous, brutal and vicious
a reason why Russia is still a shithole and Central Asia is brown shithole
for example they killed enough people near the aral sea for total local water work system collapse which in effect flooded the area - the soviet draining it was actually reclaiming ancient cities and farming areas
they destroyed cities and killed all elites and crafters to the point that only some reatrded hillbillies survived and repopulated it
They were good with movement both operationally, strategically and tactically. Horse archers, nomadic lifestyle, etcetera.
They were essentially Huns, but updated for the modern tech level of the time which meant they could just ignore most of your army and kill you with arrows over and over.
They were also a bit like the Romans in that they absorbed the local population's fighting ability into their own. They actually learnt ways of fighting from people they conquered, along with religion to an extent. It's why Mongolia still has muslims to this day for example.
Huns were a mix of Turko-Iranic population. They practiced Iranic traditions such as cranial deformation but their genetics are undeniably Turkic. Possibly due to Xiongnu intermixing with Sarmatians as they went to west.
>cranial deformation >lip discs >scar tattoos >genital mutilation
I fricking hate how humans can't just sit tight and fricking chill
nooooo let's fricking ritually mutilate ourselves because I don't know
horseback
archery
horseback archery
very organized military hierarchy
a nomadic diet consisting of meat, meaning strength
also, while europeans grew up learning how to work, nomads grew up learning how to kill (and raise livestock)
I haven't delved that much into it, but I'd imagine they brought whole herds with them to war, portable food that doesn't expire and walks on its own legs
Military propaganda always portrays the enemy in a bad light. I'd imagine they were very ferocious, but probably not as savage as they describe them. They're nomads, and they leave no traces behind, while sedentary people own history and have the resources to record it however they want. A ragtag gang of violent low-impulse morons wouldn't be able to conquer most of the continent, they were very intelligent, resourceful and organized. He spent most of his life uniting the mongol tribes before starting his conquest. >I am the punishment of God...If you had not committed great sins, God would not have sent a punishment like me upon you.
Some crazy fricking shit. One of the few people in history that could say something like this and mean it.
>no organization
If there was one thing that medieval europeans, and probably other peoples too, could agree on, was that going on a hunting trip was the best thing you could do to train and drill yoursel,f and others, in for for war. The nomad peoples of the steppe were basicaly doing this from the day they are born. They make for hardy people who definitively have an innate edge when it comes to campaing.
-they choose generals based on talent instead of heritage (a rarity at the time)
-their army was fricking mobile, including the supplies and siege weaponry
-their people learned to use bow And horse riding since they were kids (in comparison most people in feudal states were prohibited from using any weapon)
They had the technical and skill advantage, however they didn't exactly have the numerical advantage against Imperial China. For a large number of reasons they did manage to conquer them aways, largely because the Song dynasty was growing incredibly dysfunctional, favored dealing with the northern bandits through diplomacy (wooing individual steppe tribes with gifts and titles and turning one tribe against another to prevent them from uniting into a single threat), rather than expensive military incursions alongside a massive northern border (although they would send military expeditions to assassinate particularly trouble congregations of tribes threatening to unite as one). However, the military ended up being undercut as a result of court politics and inept emperors. Add Genghis Khan managing to unite all steppe tribes into one on top, and they were basically fricked.
From there the Mongols pillaged all territory they conquered, bolstering their army with slave troops to use as (sometimes literal) meatshields, and basically deathballing the rest of Russia, the Middle-East, and parts of Eastern Europe.
Did you know that during a siege, the Mongols would sometimes catapult the carcasses of their own over the walls of a besieged city as a way of demoralization and spreading diseases, possibly introducing Europe to the Black Plague?
You cant make anything involving russia nowadays because amerimutts and zoomers are brainwashed and would make them as inaccurated as possible just to make russians look bad, just look at the MW2 remake.
The end of the golden horde was so anti-climatic.
The Russian and Mongol armies have a standoff across the river... then the Mongols turn back and never fight Russia again.

I’ve always wanted From Soft to do a game inspired by Indian mythology and architecture. Imagine jungle temples, fighting Hindu demons and many-armed elephant head bosses
as a hindu I want this so bad, but the pajeets will never allow it
norse and greek get all the badass games, but if you dive into the hindu epics they had crazy shit happen too
It's a monkey's paw anon, norse mythology is completely butchered in any hollywood rendition (that includes all american games).
None of the actual strange and mystical stuff makes it in, and since it's the "whitest" mythology every writer with an agenda sees it as their right to just shit all over it to insert their own modern dramas which are always based around identity politics that makes 0 sense in regards to the mythology and doesn't even attempt to respect it.
The only game I've seen do a more true rendition of the the weird side is Northern Journey, and it was made by a single norwegian guy.
Do you really want that for hindi myths?
I never learned much about the Mongols. But why were they so good? I knew the Romans had their formations. But Mongols seems like vikings with no organization and just rape and pillage.
>But Mongols seems like vikings with no organization and just rape and pillage.
You should stop getting your history lessons from Hollywood. Do you think they would have made such a lasting impact if that's all they did?
Not like the average Indian knows about an "accurate" telling of Hindu myths. There is no canon and these tales have been retold thousands of times by a gazillion different cultures, borrowing and influencing and syncretizing among each other and each depiction will trigger one set of groups because that wasn't how their grandma told them. (Though there has been a rise of a singular imagination recently thanks to media depictions and growth of religious fascism)
as a hindu I want this so bad, but the pajeets will never allow it
norse and greek get all the badass games, but if you dive into the hindu epics they had crazy shit happen too
It would be pure kino but I guess Hinduism is too unfamiliar outside India to get a game. And the Indian market is barely though. Though that one DLC for AOE2 did pretty well.
What are you talking about? Hinduism is the most popular in popculture non-white religion and is very used in asian games. All kinds of people(hippies since the 60s and esoteric fascists after WW1) have popularized it.
Pop-culture and hippies popularised the symbols but they don't know a fricking thing about it. They think yoga is about aerobics and tantra is about spicing up your sex life. At most the single text they know about is the Bhagavad Gita and they don't know that it's an excerpt from a larger epic or that it's pro-war.
And how many esoteric fascists do you know irl? Not exactly a huge demographic.
I accept that hindu setting is underused, but I don't agree with that being because its not known or popular. I'd agree that its quite complex and that might be the reason.
Most people outside of India or its diaspora know of hinduism but they couldn't tell you any of the myths. Whereas Europeans and their diaspora will generally be somewhat familiar with European myths which allows for games like Age of Mythology or God of War.
Also its familiar to the developers as well. If you had big Indian studios and a bigger Indian market you'd see plenty of Hindu games.
Idk anon as someone who travels in those circles I think the pure numbers aren't there. Though lots of people are into the aesthetic so maybe it could work.
Tbh this kind of powerscaling works well in video games. the player character in any mmorpg can slaughter 207 million default level 1 human warriors easily, and has probably slain the equivalent to that many when considering how many mobs it takes to level up (and how many mobs it took for the mobs to level up that you then killed)
>the 7 mahamaharathi can take out roughly 1.4 billion warriors >India now has roughly 1.5 billion people
Imagine if all of Indian society worked together...
Anything west and subsaharan africa and vice-royalty america

Seriously, it's insane how much Black person pandering westoid games do but NONE of them use African folklore/mythos as a setting.
Played Resident Evil 5 again recently and it made me genuinely read more about Africa, after "we wuz" tier media actively drove me away from anything Black person related.
This. Africa can actually be interesting but it's ruined by american nogs and their panderers. The Africa levels in Xmen Origins and Uncharted 4 were cool.
hussite wars, i wanna be some czech dude blastin guys from a war wagon with my handgonne.
that period in the victorian era from like 1850 - 1900 where ironclads were in use
Early medieval/dark ages, most games just like doing that late medieval - renaissance era where people were in full plate.
I'd probably ruin society too if it had forcibly removed my testicles from me just to shove me into an imperial court where I had to watch the emperor constantly laying his harem and having to carry the girls into the bedroom for him to frick them.
>Total War getting ancient Egyptian setting >Historical gays seething it's not Medieval 3 that they're trying to get everyone to boycott the game
Here's to hoping it warrants more DLC than planned like Troy.

Hmm, I wonder why historygays don't like this new historical total war game.
Nah, people still aren't butt-blasted by what the Romans did to Carthage. On the other hand, Romans renamed Judea as Syria Palaestina that still gets kvetched to this very day
The Punic people just intermixed their culture and what not into the Mediterranean melting pot. israelites on the other hand are the "chosen people of God" so no shit they don't want to mix
The israelites were already defeated. Rome wanted to erase israelites off the the face of the earth and Masada was their last refuge. And as you can see almost impossible to siege. Almost
>idolizing poverty and savagery
I remember that video where the guy gives voice commentary over an account of a Muslim talking about how Scandis used to spit and let out their snot in a bucket and bathe in the water. They also killed a young woman whenever a man died so he could go with her. You probably think that is better than the society we have today I’m sure.
It would be nice to see some RPG's set in time periods we don't hear much about in fiction because they aren't iconic. Like Mesopotamia, or Indus.
I say RPG because it's really the only genre that lets you get into some proper dialogues with branching options.
I'd love to see Ancient Greece or Egypt but from the perspective of a normal person simply trying to navigate the normal everyday humdrum of the time, maybe unwittingly getting embroiled in a plot to overthrow a regent or something that catapults them out of their comfort zone and into an active role of big decisions. Like a merchant who ends up an army strategist after partaking in a successful coup, his position balanced on a knife's edge.
There's millions, billions of stories that could be told and they need not all be big epic monster fights. Something that explores a world that was once real which we don't get to see much of would be exciting on its own.
>Thirty Years War >Russo-Japanese war >Napoleonic wars >South African Border War >Boxer Rebellion >Sino-Japanese wars either one >Korean War

this really needs a proper english translation. I was following it years ago, but the translation was pretty fricking bad, which is to be expected since it was japanese officially to french and then fan to english. just a fricking mess
yes, modded its better but if you never played before vanilla will suffice. The game has a stupidly addicting gameplay loop, buy it on sale you aint gonna regret it.
no there isn't. "Celtic" was coined in the 18th century.
None of the people you think as "celtic" would have identified as such.

Also to add, the Conquistadors specifically state that "every" building in Tenochtitlan had gleaming white stucco, flat roofs, etc
I personally would wager that's a bit hyperbolic, since many structures likely would have been fully painted on top of the stucco either monotone or with multicolor murals (in, say, El Tajin, we know some buildings were painted red over their stucco, others blue, etc), AND since commoner homes in other Mesoamerican cities generally didn't have stucco and were just unpainted adobe brick or thatch, and they also tended to have straw rather then flat roofs, wheras say the Scott and Stuart Gentling art in the college has even smaller commoner homes with stucco/paint and flat roofs
However, Conquistadors were still in other Mesoamerican cities (which mind you, they also described as being exceptionally clean, well maintained, and very pretty) and remarked on Tenochtitlan specifically having universal flat roofs and white stucco showing, which to me would imply that that was MORE a constant in Tenochtitlan then other Mesoamerican cities.
Pic related would arguably be a more grounded depiction of an Aztec commoner home, especially in other cities, but the aesthetic seen in the images I posted would still 100%, for sure be accurate for larger places, administrative compounds, temples, etc, if anything it may underplay the amount of painted murals. It's really only the smaller single room structures which would have looked like pic related, and even then only arguably for Tenochtitlan specifically (though in really rural towns/villages even palaces could have had straw roofs over their rooms and unpainted areas: Cuexcomate's palace was seemingly like that, for exampled)

Acurrate depictions of hellenic and latin culture are somewhat rare, but they are lucky to have some -very- dedicated autists. Rome has that PLINIVS manga, hellenics have Age of Troy comic, etc.
Egypt doesn't even make it past the visual aspect in 99% of media it is depicted. But thanks god you've got stuff like Impressions' Game's Pharaoh.
China also greatly suffers from "popular culture from a specific period replacing actual historical evidence", but nowhere to the god-awful degree Japan has with the Edo period literature revisioning all their ancient history and religion
tbh historical games are just rare. Neither fans nor devs take it past the visual aesthetic.

No, you're just an idiot who doens't know what you're talking about. There's plenty of textual sources, contemporary manuscript depictions, as well as surviving ruins which show the details in the images I posted from Mesoamerica. See pic, for example plus these posts:
Andean civilizations like the Inca are an entirely different group of cultures from another continent with a completely different architectural style, and even then stuff like Huaca de La Luna shows intact Andean painted mural.
Also, if you want to turn it into a pissing contest, as far as I know, the largest Bronze age Mesopotamian city was Uruk, with 40,000 people. Teotihuacan and Tenochtitlan both dwarfed it with 100,000-200,000 people, while Cholula, Tlaxcala, Copan, Tikal, El Mirador, Tula, Tzintzuntzan, Angamuco, etc were around that size too (though over a wider area: Mesoamerican city planning was less dense in general then Eurasian urbanism). I don't into Andean urbanism much, but Machu Picchu is more a large series of estates then an actual city: Chan Chan was an Andean city with 60,000 people, Cusco the Inca captial had like 30,000, and I think that's just for the core urban area and not surronding suburbs (which variously are and aren't included for some of the Meso cities I listed), etc.
Stop listening to homosexual antiwhite oxbridge revisionists. Celts recognised their common bonds through language and the druids. So what if Celtic was coined in the 18th century? It still refers to a real grouping. What they referred to themselves as was some variant of Gaul/Gael.

Eh the Celto-Italic language theory is heavily disputed. Even if it did exist, culturally the Celts were much closer to Germanic people given the influence of the Etruscans and Magna Graecia on the Italics. The Celt-iberians are probably an exception to that.

Thats completely false. We know its Greek origin.
The reason people would have used it was they were able to speak Greek as that was lingua franca before Latin. As the Romans brought Greek interpreters with them.

1. lying about Keltois origin
2. claiming Germanic is Celtic
Both are lies

it doesnt mean anything in greek because its ancient greek. Even experts have proposed multiple meanings
Possible roots are kel 'exalt' or kel 'strike', as in Latin percello. Another suggestion is kwel 'turn', Latin incola 'settler'." [2]

The etymology of the term Keltoi is unclear. Possible origins include the Indo-European roots *ḱel,[3] 'to cover or hide' (cf. Old Irish celid[4]), *ḱel-, 'to heat', or *kel- 'to impel'.[5] Several authors have supposed the term to be Celtic in origin, while others view it as a name coined by Greeks. Linguist Patrizia De Bernardo Stempel falls in the latter group; she suggests that it means "the tall ones".[6]

T. idiot.
Thats not true at all, its completely of Latin origin. You are repeating fake "Celt" propaganda.
Not really THAT exotic but the early medieval era between the fall of Rome and the 11th century.
Now that i think about it, for someone that is basically known as "the father of Europe" and one of the most influential character in Western history, there's a surprisingly low amount of games about Charlemagne and the Carolingian dynasty, even thought there's a lot of great premises for games in there: >Muslim invasions >Viking Raids >War against barbarian tribes such as the Saxon or the Lombards
Early Modern period is woefully underrepresented.
Outside of RTS games and that one Mount and Blade expansion I guess Assassin's Creed is as good as it gets. Which is sad.
>Kingdom of Benin throughout the centuries >Defeat rival tribes and enslave them to grow your power >Europeans turn up and offer guns and coins in exchange for your slaves >accept and depopulate your own kingdom while getting rich until your kingdom weakens enough for Europeans to wreck you >refuse and face rifle armed tribes who accepted
It'd be a fun strategy game.
"celtists" are such fricking liars literally the lizard people theorists or history and archeology.
Romans only identified one small tribe of Gauls as celtae, the one next to a Greek colony.
That doesn't suddenly mean all of Europe is "celtic"
Celtic theory is a rootless pseudoscience trying to claim they are the root.
As an actual history buff its far more accurate when game developers don't use bullshit terms like "celt"
Since no one used that term before the 1700s.
For example Irish would be Scoti. Welsh would call themselves Britons.
But their actual names were a hodgepodge of things like Brigantes (the Britains irish are actually descended from)

anyway, in this scenario, anubis was dethroned as the god of death and he sent the armies of the dead upon the mortal land
maybe it's like an RTS where you control mummy armies, or anubis himself and yes, I know only pharaohs were mummified, so there wouldn't be armies, but frick off, mummies are cool and fun and there's a lot of mummies in this setting, they're not royal mummies
you have to make it interesting, add something, maybe some odd-looking "guns" from underworld technology with scarab-looking motifs and acid green energy within
maybe it's a cool fricking retro FPS like powerslave where you play as slighted anubis using these cool guns and underworld god magic
>Spoiler
Achtually over time mummification was available to most high class people, probably not enough to have literal armies of them but I don't think anyone would care.

Every civilization in the original AoE is derivative of the same tech tree with even less expression for unique features than AoE II. You get things like Greeks centered around the Hoplite line and losing out on chariot units but it's a very surface-level dive compared to other games in the series.

Mongols vs Russians
>that one woman entering a space where she shouldn't be just to get in the painting
They're a timeless problem, eh?
That's the last line of defense where all the citizens hid when the city got sacked.
She's literally in front of some soldiers, mates, she's doing it for attention.
You're pretty moronic.
High IQ post, good job anon.
>Mongols magically creating food to sustain hundreds of thousands people without organized farming and highly advanced logistical system out of thin air
>Someone provided wrong information
Pastoralism can sustain that many people. Besides, Mongols picked up soldiers from their conquered peoples.
the mongols conquered and taxed agrarian peoples for the SOLE PURPOSE OF GETTING MORE FOOD
the mongol empire was nomads fed by farmers
the reason it worked only when genghis showed up, was because he put an end to in-fighting
there was always plenty of food to go around to create massive nomad deathblobs that could conquer most of the known world
genghis just forced that fact down everyone's b***h throats
Because they succeeded only against falling Empire like China or low iq tribes like slavs.
They never conuered a real country as seen with Japan or Hungary.
>or Hungary
>mongols
Black person, they ARE mongols.
Hungolia
just look at any pictures of hungarians they are not slit eyed asians
Japan is the new Thule. I can tell that in the future it will be a convservative white safe haven.
The fact that it is an anti migrant isolationist island makes it very strategic for many reasons and its ideal to make a high culture out of.
>convservative white safe haven
have a nice day refugee.
>Mongols. But why were they so good
Asian superior genes
Steppe horse archers, and it's not just the mongols.

RICED
Horse Archers are pretty OP not to mention the Mongols were (and still are) an extremely versatile and adaptable people.
>tfw they canonically jobbed to the Thai and Viet Minh respectively
Maybe they are Huns considering they both came from the same general area.
Huns were a mix of Turko-Iranic population. They practiced Iranic traditions such as cranial deformation but their genetics are undeniably Turkic. Possibly due to Xiongnu intermixing with Sarmatians as they went to west.
>cranial deformation

a nomadic diet consisting of meat, meaning strength
also, while europeans grew up learning how to work, nomads grew up learning how to kill (and raise livestock)
>a nomadic diet consisting of meat, meaning strength
they also milked their horses, which is pretty genius logistically
>Mongols
>no organisation
have a yam
>no organization
If there was one thing that medieval europeans, and probably other peoples too, could agree on, was that going on a hunting trip was the best thing you could do to train and drill yoursel,f and others, in for for war. The nomad peoples of the steppe were basicaly doing this from the day they are born. They make for hardy people who definitively have an innate edge when it comes to campaing.
>muh steppe
here are some reasons:
From there the Mongols pillaged all territory they conquered, bolstering their army with slave troops to use as (sometimes literal) meatshields, and basically deathballing the rest of Russia, the Middle-East, and parts of Eastern Europe.
metal as frick conquest
what a rampage
Did you know that during a siege, the Mongols would sometimes catapult the carcasses of their own over the walls of a besieged city as a way of demoralization and spreading diseases, possibly introducing Europe to the Black Plague?
damn, that's petty and resourceful, a final frick you, and it paid off
nonsummerjack SEXOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Horse archers are bullshit OP.
>But why were they so good?
horse archers and the mindset of destroying everything in their path
Its a mod but I think this will be about the closet you will get considering the current political climate.
AoE 4 campaings has both sides: a Rus coming back from the Mongol invasions campaing, and the Mongol campaing has a few mission swere you btfo Slavs.
You cant make anything involving russia nowadays because amerimutts and zoomers are brainwashed and would make them as inaccurated as possible just to make russians look bad, just look at the MW2 remake.
Wait... What did the MW2 remake do? Because I'm pretty sure they're still Russians in that game.

The US Civil War and Colonial America
I’ve always wanted From Soft to do a game inspired by Indian mythology and architecture. Imagine jungle temples, fighting Hindu demons and many-armed elephant head bosses
Asuras Wrath might be up your alley
as a hindu I want this so bad, but the pajeets will never allow it
norse and greek get all the badass games, but if you dive into the hindu epics they had crazy shit happen too
Hindu takes bullshit to another level
It would be pure kino but I guess Hinduism is too unfamiliar outside India to get a game. And the Indian market is barely though. Though that one DLC for AOE2 did pretty well.
barely there*
What are you talking about?
Hindu setting is over used in Starfield.
>hindu setting is underused
Most people outside of India or its diaspora know of hinduism but they couldn't tell you any of the myths. Whereas Europeans and their diaspora will generally be somewhat familiar with European myths which allows for games like Age of Mythology or God of War.
Also its familiar to the developers as well. If you had big Indian studios and a bigger Indian market you'd see plenty of Hindu games.
>And how many esoteric fascists do you know irl?
There is an enormous subset of esoteric fascists. They just never reveal their powerlevels publicly.
Idk anon as someone who travels in those circles I think the pure numbers aren't there. Though lots of people are into the aesthetic so maybe it could work.

This is DBZ tier power level scaling.
CC2 agrees with you on that.
Tbh this kind of powerscaling works well in video games. the player character in any mmorpg can slaughter 207 million default level 1 human warriors easily, and has probably slain the equivalent to that many when considering how many mobs it takes to level up (and how many mobs it took for the mobs to level up that you then killed)
>the 7 mahamaharathi can take out roughly 1.4 billion warriors
>India now has roughly 1.5 billion people
Imagine if all of Indian society worked together...

I don't want a Medieval 3. Nice job trying to put words in my mouth, shill.
Just play tomb kings in total Warhammer, the myth stuff is cooler than the real Egypt stuff and tomb kings are that turned up to 11.
It looks really barebones
It's CA, you WILL be dripfed stupid DLC add-ons and you WILL pay extra to add blood/gore to the game.
If they were to release a complete edition in a year or two with every DLC at a price of a full game, I would possibly buy it.
I still haven't bought the latest WH3 DLC and I've been buying every DLC since Warhammer 1.

the roman siege of jerusalem
The siege of carthage is more kino.
Nah, people still aren't butt-blasted by what the Romans did to Carthage. On the other hand, Romans renamed Judea as Syria Palaestina that still gets kvetched to this very day
the reason why theres no modern kvetching about carthage and the phoenicians is the romans actually finished the job.
The Punic people just intermixed their culture and what not into the Mediterranean melting pot. israelites on the other hand are the "chosen people of God" so no shit they don't want to mix
>is the romans actually finished the job
They sure as frick didn't, because Severan dynasty happened.
Absolutely kino
Rome built a fricking ramp up a huge cliff to defeat the israelites. /misc/ is terminally online and doesnt even leave the house. Fricking shame
The israelites were already defeated. Rome wanted to erase israelites off the the face of the earth and Masada was their last refuge. And as you can see almost impossible to siege. Almost

Something that explores a world that was once real which we don't get to see much of would be exciting on its own.

no there isn't. "Celtic" was coined in the 18th century.
None of the people you think as "celtic" would have identified as such.

The actual underutilized settings are pretty much anything else.
Mesoamerica and the Andes probably have it the worst in terms of the ratio of how much cool shit they have vs how little they get used or handled right when they are used. Medieval Hindu stuff is up there too.

Asura's Wrath is as much Buddhist as it is Hindu but it very much captures the insane over the top shit that the Mahabharata has
I always find it hard to believe any society had buildings this white. It would be a moronic level of effort to keep them clean.
The Aztec were obsessed with hygiene and order:
>Fleet of civil servents who allegedly washed buildings and swept roads on a daily basis
>Said officials also collected waste from public toilets to reuse as fertilizers and dyes
>Bathing in steam bathes was done on a almost daily basis even for commoners and traditional bathing was apparently even more common; some conquistadors thought smallpox was from them bathing so much
>Socially unacceptable for anybody but royalty and the elderly to go unshaven, down to individual hairs being plucked
>People were expected to wash their hands, face, teeth, and sweep before and after every single meal multiple times a day
>cleanilness is the single highest mortal virtue mentioned in sources about their ethics, some reconstructed models of aztec cosmological metaphysics literally has dirt, a lack of order, etc acting as a sort of supernatural cosmic entropy that would end the world (which sacrifices counter)
>Huge corpus of pharmaceutical products for soaps, shampoos, body lotions, breath freshners and toothpastes, actually one of a few premodern societies to do preventative rather then just corrective dentistry
>Structures were built using aromatic woods and with gardens in and around spaces to bring sweet smells, people would even carry flowers around on top of all the body products I just mentioned
>Even architecture was designed to not have doors, to have large open courtyards in palaces/civic structures to ward off miasma, palaces and other structures in turn were placed around large open plazas and gardens
>not taking care of your home, surrounding land plot, etc could result in it being seized from you, similar ecological carelessness could be punished by death, allegedly littering too (tho I can't find a source for that last bit)
Some of this is Pan-mesoamerican (white stucco over the base masonry was for example, as is the courtyard/plaza based city planning) but the Aztec absolutely took it the furthest
i love it when you show up in threads
>>Said officials also collected waste from public toilets to reuse as fertilizers and dyes
this is common practice in all agricultural nations doe
Maybe informally, but I'm not aware of many having a whole civic organization devoted to collecting it and having public toilets managed by them.
because few cultures had agriculture directly directed by large cities like mesoamerica has. but poop = good harvests is ancient wisdom is basically all agricultural villages
>but I'd say Rome/Greece
Neither fans nor devs take it past the visual aesthetic.
>hellenics have Age of Troy comic, etc.

What they referred to themselves as was some variant of Gaul/Gael.
theres nothing anti-white about it you moronic mick
Iron age tribe is the correct term for pre-Roman tribes in the European Iron Age. Particularly its referring to western Europe.
homosexual anglo
>moronic celt larp is an anti-white racist sperging at da Anglos
every time.
Its got nothing to do with Anglos, you irish cuckold.
Cope angloid
>do a song and dance about anti-white racism
>is the actual anti-white racist
Nothing im saying has anything to do with "Anglos" you low iq idiot.
This is the period before them.
I'm not even Irish you homosexual, I'm German Australian. If you think nationalism hasn't always been real you're a moron who doesn't understand either history or nature. Celtic, Greek, Germanic, etc. tribes have always recognised their common heritage.
>german Australian
go back to germany kraut parasite. Australia is Anglo-saxon land. We don't need any of your inferior war losing stock here.
Also your women look like men
its not alike Germanic is an actual thing, Celtic is not.
>celtic isn't real because I say so
Give a reason
no one in the history field thinks celt is a real thing.
Its pop history for people that watch ancient aliens
%3D%3D
You haven't provided an argument why the Celtic grouping isn't real.
The fact all you can do is post a link shows enough.
how about you pull your head out of your ass and watch the video
>nooooo you refuted my celtic nationalism nazi shit YOU DA RACIST
frick off leprechaun.
You still haven't made a rebuttal to show you know what you're talking about
List a fact that disproves it
You cant
You're not even arguing with the same person frickwit, I'm half anglo/half german. First off, nobody cares. This thread was about discussing cool periods of history to be explored in games. And you, the angry autist racist shits up the thread by making wild accusations and oversimplifications that no historian would ever make.
no one cares what you are you lying idiot. Its no an argument.
Celtic never existed. The term was coined in the 18th century for language similarities and was incorrect.
No celts are not real. No your irish celtic nationalism is not real.
No its mot relevant to the discussion or the thread you irish nazi mong
Celt was a Greek word used to describe groups of people in Western Europe as far back as 800BC
These groups shared religion, language, governments and other things. They were as similar as Danes and Norwegians.
You are an ignoramus
You deny reality because of politics and have completely failed several times to provide a single rebuttal
No it wasn't it was a Greek word that meant foreigner. It was used for anyone outside Greece,
>ignores the entire post
But anyway the Greeks use Keltisi as an adverb to describe a language so you fail and that is simply not the usage what you said
no you are lying Keltoi was describing people.
Celtic was only used as a name for a linguistic grouping in the 18th century.
"Κελτισί, Adv. in Keltic or Celtic, in the language or after the manner of the Kelts."
-Liddell Scott Greek Lexicon
So now you are disagreeing with the best Greek dictionary ever made
No, Keltoi means foreigner
>I know better than the best dictionary
This is just pathetic
you are an idiot. Celtic was only used for language in the 18th.
Celtic comes from Celtae
Celtae comes from Keltoi
Keltoi means foreigner.
Romans preferred Gaul
>I know better than the dictionary
>a dictionary is the only source i need
Low iq dunning kruger.
Celt (n.)
also Kelt, c. 1600, from Latin Celta, singular of Celtae, from Greek Keltoi, Herodotus's word for the Gauls (who also were called Galatai). Used by the Romans of continental Gauls but apparently not of the British Celtic tribes.
>n-no d-don't quote the dictionary that doesn't count
My dictionary is one specifically meant to teach students Ancient Greek
Yours is an apparently anonymous website
And again " Used by the Romans of continental Gauls but apparently not of the British Celtic tribes."
This proves I'm correct
you stupid homosexual are like a broken record. you have said the exact same thing in 3 other threads i ve been in. you are an absolutely demented moron. for the last time, keltos is not a greek word and it does not mean foreigner in greek or used to describe barbarians other than the Kelts.
you are an idiot. Stfu
none of the tribes that people misidentify as "celtic" would have considered themselves the same people.
There was no celtic civilisation or monolithic group. None of these people could understand each other or knew they exist.
Its fake history by morons.
Nobody claimed that it was a unified society. It is a set of customs, rituals and religious beliefs, predominantly in animism. Similar art, similar functioning societies. Celtic culture had a sustained influence on these socieities. No one is claiming that it is a "pure ethnicity". This is something only racists care about, like you.
>animism
No
>No one cares what you are!
You do, for some reason which is why you thought I was Irish. You're being a fricking prick, you are clearly some sort of mentally deranged autist and I hope some irish c**t car bombs you straight to hell for shitting this thread up with your racist antics. Seriously c**t, you need to be beaten. And I bet you find this entertaining too, you're probably laughing your head off. Your day will come, rest assured if it hasn't already.
No one cares
No one cares about your faux nationalist lies.
No one is celt.
If they were brothers the "celt" nazis wouldnt be racist to the Germanics.
Like the IRA claiming it was permissible to murder Germanics
Or you idiots itt immediately lashing out at Germanic Anglos.
You are a liar.
Celts do not exist and they are not brothers to anyone
None of those things are Celtic. Because Celtic does not exist.
>homosexual pom crying about the IRA
You're such a little b***h. Grandma from England got scared did she?
You mad? Celts and Germanics are brothers. Squirm more brownoid, we are united.
>nazi
Lol that isn't an insult around here newbie
>finally admits he hates the idea because of modern politics
its got nothing to do with modern politics you nazi leprechaun.
No one in Britain identified as celtic. The Romans didnt refer to them as celtic.
I come from a Celtic region and the term is very widely used here. Are you telling me this is a load of bullshit and all the Celtic people had in fact nothing in common ?
>and theories of Celticism continue to fuel many of the prejudices and misconceptions that divide the peoples of the British Isles to this day
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simon_Jenkins
>He currently writes columns for The Guardian.
>He retained a column at The Sunday Times and was a contributing blogger at The Huffington Post.
>In February 2010, Jenkins argued in a Guardian article that British control over the Falkland Islands was an "expensive legacy of empire" and should be handed over to the Argentinian government
>In 2022, Jenkins' book,The Celts: A Sceptical History, stoked some controversy on account of Jenkins incredulous view of the Celts as a distinct cultural entity. The release of the work was met with a number of hostile reviews, with critics of the book citing factual errors in the work as well as of the misrepresentation of sources.
Lol actually have a nice day you degenerate lefty brownoid. Celts are real. Nationalism is real. You will be exterminated.
the absolute state of lefties
cia celtic cross nationalism is not real nationalism.
How is celtic shit relevant to Germanics lol.
Frick off cia.
Go draw up some runic fliers with celtic crosses on them
Oh I see, it's the usual suspects trying to destroy cultural heritage, again.
you need to have a cultural heritage to destroy.
Celtic didn't exist
>how did the Romans perfectly genocide the celts but left the germanics
because celts didnt exist.
So you think the words Gaul, Gallia, Galicia, Wales, Gael, etc. were all made up recently by pop culture? Lmao.
Celts are closer to Italics, Germanics are closer to Slavs I believe.
Eh the Celto-Italic language theory is heavily disputed. Even if it did exist, culturally the Celts were much closer to Germanic people given the influence of the Etruscans and Magna Graecia on the Italics. The Celt-iberians are probably an exception to that.
Wales is an English word, the native word is Cymru. But otherwise yeah there's a clear connection. There's always one of these homosexual autists in these threads though. Ages ago one tried to insist Germanic people were a Turkic group lmao.
>Ages ago one tried to insist Germanic people were a Turkic group lmao.
They practically are now kek.
>wales is a germanic word
no there isnt. These names are not related. Gauls are extinct, None of the modern "celtic" groups in the British isles were actually ever "Celtic"
None of them can understand each other.
Its just irish nazism trying to revision modern history and has nothing to do with ancient history.
Goths had no chance of understanding Saxons yet you group them
Hence as with your repeated references to Ireland in hate that you simply hate Irish people and project it onto people who died 2000 years ago.
Goths understood Old English.
Germanics are an easily provable cultural group with a close affinity.
Celts are not. Frick off with your false equivalency.
I come from Brittany (north west of France) and we couldn't even understand each other 50km away until French deleted everything, so no unified language is not an argument. But you can suck on my big Celtic wiener you filthy anglo scum.
Unfortunately since celtic doesn't exist your celtic wiener also doesn't exist.
>waaah Anglos
This has nothing to do with muh Anglo you homosexual french idiot.
But hilariously the English are the true heirs to any supposed "celtic" legacy. Druidism made jrs way to Gaul from Britain and so did your supposed ancestors you fricking moron. Some solidarity you got there you moronic c**t
You're a leaf aren't you?
Wtf are you smoking? Celt, isn't a native word to "celts" it was given to them by Romans. Just Germanics got given Germanic.
The word is Greek and its Keltoi. This Celtist fantasy that they are the source of everything is the biggest load of WE bullshit on the internet.
You are literally trying to claim PIE is celtic.
Anyone with a brain can talk Germanic comes from latin Germ
meant for
>Celt, isn't a native word to "celts"
"Celts, Lat. Celtæ (Cæsar), Gr. Κελτοί, Κελταί, Κελτικóς, appearing in the fifth and fourth cent. B.C. in Herodotus, Xenophon, etc.: *Kelto-s, "the lofty," root qel, raise, go, Lat. celsus, high, Eng. excel, Lit. kéltas, raised." -McBain
its not a native ethnonym. What you posted doesn't claim otherwise.
>its not a native ethnonym
According to the phonetics there and the use of McBain he clearly treats it as such.
Futher as he says, Kelt is from an original qelt. If this was from Greek It would currently be Telt not Kelt so it must be from Celtic.
Thats completely false. We know its Greek origin.
The reason people would have used it was they were able to speak Greek as that was lingua franca before Latin. As the Romans brought Greek interpreters with them.
I have no clue why you are obsessed with
1. lying about Keltois origin
2. claiming Germanic is Celtic
Both are lies
it doesnt mean anything in greek because its ancient greek. Even experts have proposed multiple meanings
Possible roots are kel 'exalt' or kel 'strike', as in Latin percello. Another suggestion is kwel 'turn', Latin incola 'settler'." [2]
>they were able to speak Greek as that was lingua franca before Latin.
neither greek nor latin were the french language you fricking moron
You fricking moron. French didn't exist. They were Gauls and Gauls spoke ancient Greek according to the Romans
If it clearly meant something to Greeks experts wouldn't have multiple meanings for it.
This is like trying to find the ancient meaning Of Berserkir in Germanic
You moron
>it doesnt mean anything in greek because its ancient greek
moron
moron
>Possible roots are kel 'exalt' or kel 'strike',
the root is qel as i quoted and this would mean kelt in greek would actually be Telt if such a root existed in that language.
Linguist Patrizia De Bernardo Stempel falls in the latter group; she suggests that it means "the tall ones".[6]
>it doesnt mean anything in greek because its ancient greek
Holy shit this is kino
how do you know that? it's certainly not a greek word as it means nothing in greek. it's like the word Graecus that was picked up by the latins or etruscans, from the first hellenic peoples they encoutered.
>I am le angry racist!
>Also I have repressed gay urges!
reminds me of this
For a second there, I thought I'd missed something about the Indian claiming his surname was Gothic or something.
The smoking gun. These degenerates are just using this crap as a weapon to try and destroy our solidarity now.
My family came from Germany to settle this land 🙂 Just like they settled Britain and made England. Cope homosexual.
your family got its ass kicked in a war and then came here to be fricked in the ass by Australians.
At least maybe you'll make a german prostitute ti be bred silly by Anglo bulls.
Or she will become a coon loving bawd like every german loser.
btw why is every German gay? do you inhale cum for breakfast?
you know irish gay theres something weird about a homosexual defending "celtic" claiming to be german.
We both know you are lying
>Replacing the term Germanic with the term "barbarian"
I though you are supposed to hide your seething when you become an academic
That streetshitter isn't even trying to be subtle.
Yes, Austria and Germany have nothing to do with each other they don't even use the same name so obviously they are completely different
moron
They were not unified, but a similar culture, language, and religion was shared among those peoples. They very much existed, "celtic" is just an umbrella term to fit those tribal people who were very similar together.
They didn't exist. Go on any pre-Roman europe video and you see people discussing it as if its REH fiction.
Because it fricking is REH fiction. Its fantasy
Yeah you're baiting. Good job derailing the thread anon.
Nothing he said is wrong
>go to youtube
It's good to know you can't read books since all your posts from here are clearly worthless
You are a huge fricking homosexual. Like seriously c**t, you're just a disgrace.
cry more you lying shitbag
theres no such thing as a celtic region lol.
The word Celtic is greek. No where in the British isles was "celtic"
>no argument
It's okay you can rest now
Yes the people who had similar languages, the same gods and even had international schools had no relation according to him
they didn't have similar language and the same gods
>international schools
lmao what
Julius Caesar made it clear that the people in Britain and France both sent men to be educated in their countries
They did have similar languages this is undeniable
Then why are they trying to discredit the Celtic heritage ? This is absurd.
I only trust the Japanese to make a proper Egyptian video game
True if a western corporation was in charge of doing that shit they would just make it about Black folk we already know its too predictable
snowgingers*
also chainmail, many people say the celts probably invented that shit but nobody knows chainmail is pretty universal except for the native americas and central and south africa because they are primitive and dumb
Everything that isn't vikings or world war 2
>Egyptian : Total Warrior
post macedonian, pre roman middle east
basically all persian empire governed by greeks up to bactria
Iron Age post-apocalypse.
Ancient Japan. It's always the sengoku jidai or meiji restoration. We rarely ever get any heian era stuff too.
Medieval or Colonial India, but Yakuza/LAD style
Colonial times would be fun from either perspective
Kino
I fricking hate that historyhomosexualry is overrun by chuds. Even worse they never even read any book so they just spew their out of touch headcannon
>angloids and krautmuttw shitting up the thread
every time
Get FRICKED op
Repeat after me
There is no such thing as "Celts"
Actual fricking medieval Europe. No, "low fantasy" doesn't count.
your KCD? M2TW?
>Remember, No Celts.
I didn't know Hank Hill got his own video game.
Boo!
Early middle ages.
Lets hope the next few games dont try to whitewash egypt anymore. Looking at you Total War.
>autist has a fit and starts shitting up the thread with his antics
Kek would love to know what his race his to see if there is any correlation.
He's English/WASP
None of the tribes in Germany or Scandinavia would identify as German or Germanic, a Celtic word, yet you willingly grouped them
No one said it was monolithic. All anyone said is they spoke similar languages, had the same gods and had enough international connections to make them be grouped together
You have failed to prove any of these false
Germanic is not a Celtic word its a Roman word. This is a false equivalency.
Germanics existed and identified strongly with each other and had a cultural origin,
See your bullshit nazi shit about brothers is hilariously a lie when your first reaction is to screech about Germanics. In a failed whataboutism reply.
German is without any doubt a word that originated from a Celtic language.
Celts identified strongly with each other. Hence under Vercingetorix near all the Celts in France tried to defeat Rome.
no it isnt. Its Roman, people have claimed its origin is uncertain that doesn't mean its celtic.
Not every god damn thing in history is celtic you fricking moron
the word German originates from a celtic language. no one denies this except you apparently.
thats not true at all and you are lying you moronic homosexual
Scientifically prove it wrong
The sources anyone can look at homosexual. Says its Roman origin but its speculated that its of an unknown origin. That does not mean its proven to be from some made up language.
T. idiot.
Thats not true at all, its completely of Latin origin. You are repeating fake "Celt" propaganda.
Not really THAT exotic but the early medieval era between the fall of Rome and the 11th century.
Now that i think about it, for someone that is basically known as "the father of Europe" and one of the most influential character in Western history, there's a surprisingly low amount of games about Charlemagne and the Carolingian dynasty, even thought there's a lot of great premises for games in there:
>Muslim invasions
>Viking Raids
>War against barbarian tribes such as the Saxon or the Lombards
mesopotamia, mesoamerica, scythia, central asia, siberia
Early Modern period is woefully underrepresented.
Outside of RTS games and that one Mount and Blade expansion I guess Assassin's Creed is as good as it gets. Which is sad.
Hold Fast
Military uniforms truly peaked during the XVIII and XIX centuries.
Celts
Subsaharan africa.
I can’t stomach another European fantasy.
>Kingdom of Benin throughout the centuries
>Defeat rival tribes and enslave them to grow your power
>Europeans turn up and offer guns and coins in exchange for your slaves
>accept and depopulate your own kingdom while getting rich until your kingdom weakens enough for Europeans to wreck you
>refuse and face rifle armed tribes who accepted
It'd be a fun strategy game.
"celtists" are such fricking liars literally the lizard people theorists or history and archeology.
Romans only identified one small tribe of Gauls as celtae, the one next to a Greek colony.
That doesn't suddenly mean all of Europe is "celtic"
Celtic theory is a rootless pseudoscience trying to claim they are the root.
>still no arguments
You lose incel
>the irish nazi crying because his fake nazi religion is bullshit
>the angloid still having a fit and derailing the thread
>everyone that upsets me is English picking on me
Gaeloid mental degeneration
>mein blood und soil
curious how you irish try to claim nazism whike claiming to be leftwing.
Like you are playing both ends of the same stick.
As an actual history buff its far more accurate when game developers don't use bullshit terms like "celt"
Since no one used that term before the 1700s.
For example Irish would be Scoti. Welsh would call themselves Britons.
But their actual names were a hodgepodge of things like Brigantes (the Britains irish are actually descended from)
>morons itt think ancient greek and greek are the same
kek
thats like saying Italian and Latin are the same.
yuoe're's mams PUSSY is the same LAMO
So what does Kel/qel mean in Ancient Greek?
i swear this sudden uptick in morons sperging about "Anglos" is Russians trying to push division.
Medjed is an egyptian deity
Is that a Persona reference?!
direct historical setting in video games is so boring. a fantasy one inspired by it are much better

I don't know warhammer
basically, you know how anubis is a psychopomp, and basically the god of death, but osiris or whatever, or was it horus is considered to be the real god of death for some reason
anyway, in this scenario, anubis was dethroned as the god of death and he sent the armies of the dead upon the mortal land
maybe it's like an RTS where you control mummy armies, or anubis himself
and yes, I know only pharaohs were mummified, so there wouldn't be armies, but frick off, mummies are cool and fun and there's a lot of mummies in this setting, they're not royal mummies
you have to make it interesting, add something, maybe some odd-looking "guns" from underworld technology with scarab-looking motifs and acid green energy within
maybe it's a cool fricking retro FPS like powerslave where you play as slighted anubis using these cool guns and underworld god magic
>Spoiler
Achtually over time mummification was available to most high class people, probably not enough to have literal armies of them but I don't think anyone would care.
I entered this thread expecting a lot more Egyptian babes being posted.
This is a historical babe-posting thread now.
Fun fact: Amazonians actually existed. Just not in the way media(especially DC comics) depicts them.
Amazonians are creatures from Greek myth. Unless you are refering to something else entirely, you may aswell say that vampires existed because Dracula is loosely based on Vlad the Impaler.
https://www.nationalgeographic.com/history/history-magazine/article/fierce-amazons-more-than-myth-real
>paid walled sensational title
okay, I believe you
Sarmatians' foundation story literally tells the tale of Amazons.
QRD:
>Scythians from Ukraine attacks Greeks on Anatolia for raiding and pillaging
>Greeks kills their men and leaves the women because imagine being intimidated by w*men
>Women are angry
>They continue raids even without their man and burns whole villages to the ground as revenge
>Legends of Amazonians reaches to the other Scythian tribes
>Some group from Ukraine I think decides to see if the legend is correct
>They get closer to Amazonian stronghold day by day slowly, signaling they aren't their enemies
>When they finally meet they take them with you and breed them
>Children of Amazonians and Scythians forms Sarmatians
yup, and then they got bred by my rapechad ancestors

For that matter, add WW1 in the Balkans too.

It's a board game, but Hansa Teutonica is about the Hanseatic league and it's one of the best absolute best tabletop games in existence

egypt as fantasy rpg would be sick. or I guess soulslop would be okay. all the dietys could easily be bosses you fight, and the scenery would be primarily desert instead of shitty cities/castles all the time. a god of war esque game or souls like game in egypt would be cool. can't think of another genre that would be interesting.
yugioh was good on egypt tho.
Ghost of tsushima was mongols right? I mean its just a bunch of viking like pillage dribble, so as a game idk. maybe if wo long wasn't about shitty china it could have been a cool action game with mongols. or a story game where you try to survive and escape from them somehow. vinland saga like game with mongols or vikings would be nice, but who the frick developer is gonna do that justice?
>egypt as fantasy rpg would be sick
No, thanks. I alreadt played The Mummy on PS1 and Age of Conan and it's Stygia region. That's more than enough to be fed with Egypt themed shit for the rest of my life.
